    Mayan Mocha

We were just passing through on our way home to Knoxville, TN and decided to hunt for a coffee. We saw "Beans" and had a chuckle and decided to stop in. It's a quaint, clean cabin-style cafe with clean restrooms and comfortable seating. The service was fantastic, especially with it being our first time. I had the Mayan Mocha and a cheese danish. My wife had an apple fritter. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the Mayan Mocha really stood out!! I hope we can stop by again one day.

Absolutely incredible food, service and atmosphere. We will be coming back again for sure!! Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table!

We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat after visiting The Ark. Beans was perfect. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. They quickly explained that you order at the counter then find a seat. Offered us menus so we would have time to look because we had a group of 7. Food came out quickly and was fresh. Every sandwich/wrap came with a bakery treat!! I just wish I lived closer so I could stop more often!

Super cute diner/bakery with a large menu and fresh soups. The staff was super helpful and we enjoyed lunch on the patio.

This place is a hidden gem in Dry Ridge, KY. It has a variety of fresh baked goods as well as delicious breakfast and lunch items. They have gluten free bread to sub for any sandwich or toast option. Prices are affordable. Bonus: they sell a Texas donut which is obviously larger than the others! :)! Check it out when visiting The Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum. Staff were quick and efficient. Food was delicious. Coffee is served hot and fresh and in a nice large mug just like I like it! They even have homemade strawberry jam that is finger licking good! The dining area is spacious and they have an outside deck area if the the weather is nice.

I wish i could return for this!! It looks delicious!!

While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

I think overall this place is reasonably priced considering its the scenario of it being the only option. I ended up splurging during our trip and paid the $20 for the refillable cub deal at the Ark, and its nice that it carries over between locations. Super worth the money in my book! I agree with other reviews in that the name "cafe" is sort of a stretch, cause some of the menu items are premade and are displayed in coolers. There are cooked to order items though, so there is a good variety of choices. I took a chance at the boxed Caesar salad to tag along with the rest of my meal, and I wasn't too impressed. The cheese was a bit overpowering and took away from the other flavors. It seemed fresh so there's that. As for the mains, I got the chicken tenders and fries. Now with the cooked options, there is a HIGH likelihood you'll be waiting for some of them at the window because they go like hotcakes. It's worth wait though and they ended up being really tasty. I treated myself to a lemon loaf slice (Packaged) for dessert and it was pretty good. At the end of the day, it could be a whole lot worse, but it gets the job done and makes for a fairly decent meal.
