Let's start with the food: the pickles are just plain weird. Flimsy and soft and rubbery. Tasted... like funky dishwater. Bread was dry. Carrot cake was stale and dry. Club sandwich was slathered in 1000 Island dressing, to the point that I had to remove two layers to make it edible. Chicken sandwich and turkey sandwich and tomato bisque were all pretty tasty, according to my coworkers. My real issue is the bigotry. This place is aimed at a right-wing conservative crowd, and proudly makes it clear that anyone else can shove off. I will not be spending my money in a place like this, and you should be informed so you can decide if you want to as well. Could be a nice place if they didn't have such a hateful agenda. read more

We are so blessed to have checked out the unknown BEANS sign up high on the hill. I yelped it and was so surprised to see 4 and a half stars I give them 6 !! Absolutely the most delicious hot chicken sandwich I've ever had!! The bread held. Up to perfection with all the juices. The sweet lady suggested the frosted croissant and the Apple fritter. Omg. So good!! I mean DELICIOUS!! We will be back the next time we travel south from Michigan. They even give you free donut holes for a sweet ending. My salad was also beautiful and fresh. I had to go inside to see more. I got fresh baked huge loaf of sour dough bread for only $4.99. And I can't wait to toast it and add the peach butter I bought for only $4.99 . Stopped by this place after a day on the road to pick up some dessert for dinner since we were eating pizza at a hotel. The business is located off a busy road close to the Interstate 75 intersection. It is counter service with several display cases showing cakes, pies, cookies and doughnuts. They also offer bistro style sandwiches and meals. There is also a small dining area to enjoy your meal in. Since I was picking up dinner, I perused the dessert display cases and noted a variety of cookies ($2), pies to go (around $14-15 I think) and personal serving cheese cakes ($6 I think). Since I was feeding a large group and did not have serving utensils, I opted for doughnuts. M The young lady at the counter was attentive and helpful. I ordered a dozen yeast doughnuts from their options which included fruity pebbles, almond joy, maple bacon, maple, blueberry cake, and many others. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me that after 3pm doughnuts are half price so I got a dozen for $10. My kids devoured the doughnuts and in all honesty all their desserts looked great and the staff were great. Recommend it for a stop on the road. read more

When you walk in, you go to the right to order and then you sit down in the dining area to the left and they bring your meal to you. It's a fairly large area with cute, country style furniture. They have a huge deck outside that would be great in nicer weather. It has a big sign that says "Pet Friendly" so that would be awesome if you want to bring Fido! The restaurant is also a bakery and also has ice cream and coffee, so lots of options. We were there for lunch and split a Chipotle Turkey Melt sandwich. We also added 2 cups of the White Bean Chicken Chili. The sandwich was fairly large and DELICIOUS! The chili had just the right amount of kick and very tasty. As a bonus you get donut holes as part of the meal. We got 2 blueberry and one other flavor. Both flavors were great but the blueberry was my favorite! While on vacation our good friend was preparing to celebrate a birthday. The day before we were leaving, (at the last minute) we thought about needing a cake. Well let me tell you, there aren't a lot of options around Williamstown to get a cake. Using Yelp, I found Beans, which offers these awesome Texas Donuts! We ordered three of them (glazed, chocolate sprinkle, and vanilla sprinkle) which fed nine of us with some to spare! The folks working there were accommodating, friendly, and professional. The decor is great and there's lots of seating if you plan to eat there. The thing is they close pretty early, I think around 4 pm. We took the doughnuts to go and celebrated at our AirBNB. If we make it back this way in the future, I won't hesitate to pick up some delicious goodies from Beans! read more

If you read only one review read this one. So disappointed after reading positive reviews from fellow yelpers. Walked in waiting to pick up a called-in ahead to-go order. Then while waiting we are ignored for ten minutes. In walks a new customer who was immediately greeted and they were offered help as soon as they arrived. SMH Brought this to the person behind the counter's attention and it was ignored. In my opinion it's really more of a bakery vs a sandwich shop. Small deli sized sandwiches that didn't have a lot of flavor and overpriced for the serving size. Our group ordered a club, turkey, Rueben, two chicken and BBQ sandwiches. No small order and not treated well. Don't even get me started on the "in your face" political messaging that has no place in this type of establishment. This was a handy stop along the highway during a road trip to South Carolina. We found it on Yelp after looking for somewhere with outdoor seating located along the highway. The patio seating is beautiful with great views- we were surprised everyone was tucked inside during our morning visit. We had a cappuccino and two of their donuts for the road. Both hit the spot. This definitely looks like a favorite amongst locals but the highway location is ideal for travelers looking to try something local as well. They have a wide variety of baked goods in the case if donuts aren't your cup of tea. Overall, a quick but positive experience. read more

The minute we entered Beans we were greated by the staff. Made us feel welcomed. The food was outstanding had the Bacon, Chicken cheese sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and the bean soup to which he said was delicious. The cafe was clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this cafe if you're looking for a light lunch. First time stopping by this place and I have to say it wont be the last. Right out the bat, when you get to the door you see a pet friendly patio sign that its a win win for us. We went in to pick up our orders so we didn't stay much but the staff was really nice and welcoming. The place looked really big, organized, and clean. I ordered the Reuben and as you can see on the picture the meat to bread ratio is awesome; It felt fresh and tasted great. My wife order the attached Breakfast sandwich and she was also very pleased. We ordered lots of sweets which didnt make it to the pictures; Brownies, Chocolate chip cookies which where on another level, donuts and a cheesecake, they all where really good. We also found this little bag in our order with 3 little donuts, one of each flavor which was a very pleasant surprise. The one thing that made us hesitant to come in was a Huge Trump Mural that they have on the side of the restaurant. Which I am guessing its theirs unless is part of someone else property which well unfortunally is not as inviting as the pet friendly sign they have. Still its a really nice place to stop by and try. As a self professed breakfast & coffee seeker, this find during a recent trip to the Arc was a dream come true for our group. Located just off the Interstate it offers all the hot buttons one could hope to have for an AM pit stop. We noticed as we walked in the steady line in their drive thru, a good first sign on walking up to the front door. The inside was well lit and the staff was warm, genuinely friendly and most helpful. We opted for the breakfast menu, ordering from the front counter and then gathering up our table service while making our way to a table. Great seating and options for singles, small groups (we had 3 in ours) or even a larger gathering they offer perfect set ups. Loved the purposeful music and service (food was on our table in 5 minutes), giving us our coffee immediately in nice large cups. My breakfast (the 2 egg, potato, sour dough bread, homemade strawberry jam, bacon cooked just right and eggs medium made my day. In closing the best statement would be, great spots are hard to find - we just glad we found this one !! Try it .. you will not be disappointed. FYI - I did see a harsh review in the queue from a Scott, all I can say someone got up on the wrong side of the bed and missed seeing reality - happens. read more
