What a cute spot! We stopped in while staying nearby and visiting the Ark. Plenty of parking, plus they have house-made coffee, desserts, and tons of donuts. It seems to be locally owned, which we always love to support. The vanilla bean donut holes were delicious, and the banana nut bread we took home was so moist and flavorful. Lots of seating if you want to stay awhile, super friendly staff, and a fun selection of apparel too!

Used to be good. I am sitting here in my car eating a $15 dollar Reuben. Hardly any beef, virtually no cheese sauerkraut or sauce. I feel bohica"d. That is too much money for a badly done Reuben. Shameful These people wave their Christian flag and rip people off.

The service was fast and everything is made fresh! Lots of pastries made fresh! Also gluten free options!!! We also had soup and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem! It's right off the interstate, perfect spot to stop on the way back from Cincy. Love this place!!! We even had our dogs on the patio area in the fall.

Yay for Beans! Pit stop to get some breakfast fuel before getting back on the road for a 5 hour drive. Staff was extremely personable & our orders didn't take long to come out! I order an Iced Caramel Oatmilk Latte & it was handed to me almost immediately after I had paid, I was still standing at the counter! It was perfect as I told them I liked my coffee "very light brown" I ordered my All Y'all sausage gravy and biscuits with country potatoes and was given a number to go sit at a table & be served. Poured my own cup of water out of a fancy chilled steel container & found a table (quite empty for a Saturday morning when we arrived) People started flooding in after we had got our food around 9AM (15 min after we arrived) I was so excited to have my meal since it's one of my favorites and it had been awhile! To my surprise, the gravy had a sweetness to it, which I didn't enjoy so I did have to load it up with salt, is that a Kentucky thing? The biscuits seemed that they were freshly made which was great instead of them coming out of a can & the potatoes were good too:) The bakery case was very hard to choose from, but I went with a Blackberry Lemon Crunch Donut & a Blueberry Danish (no pictures sadly) but both were fresh & fruity!

We were just passing through on our way home to Knoxville, TN and decided to hunt for a coffee. We saw "Beans" and had a chuckle and decided to stop in. It's a quaint, clean cabin-style cafe with clean restrooms and comfortable seating. The service was fantastic, especially with it being our first time. I had the Mayan Mocha and a cheese danish. My wife had an apple fritter. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the Mayan Mocha really stood out!! I hope we can stop by again one day.

Wow!!! What a wonderful dining experience! Great food, service and atmosphere! I wish we could bring this restaurant to Roanoke, VA with us! We need more restaurants like this!

While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

I think overall this place is reasonably priced considering its the scenario of it being the only option. I ended up splurging during our trip and paid the $20 for the refillable cub deal at the Ark, and its nice that it carries over between locations. Super worth the money in my book! I agree with other reviews in that the name "cafe" is sort of a stretch, cause some of the menu items are premade and are displayed in coolers. There are cooked to order items though, so there is a good variety of choices. I took a chance at the boxed Caesar salad to tag along with the rest of my meal, and I wasn't too impressed. The cheese was a bit overpowering and took away from the other flavors. It seemed fresh so there's that. As for the mains, I got the chicken tenders and fries. Now with the cooked options, there is a HIGH likelihood you'll be waiting for some of them at the window because they go like hotcakes. It's worth wait though and they ended up being really tasty. I treated myself to a lemon loaf slice (Packaged) for dessert and it was pretty good. At the end of the day, it could be a whole lot worse, but it gets the job done and makes for a fairly decent meal.

The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Especially for the hype and the line you wait in. Service is okay, kind of friendly and was incredibly slow to get food out. After waiting for 20-25 minutes we stood by the kitchen window to wait for our food to come up, we overheard people coming to pick up food and being told they were out of items they ordered and to choose something else... from the already VERY LIMITED menu. I was struck that they were allowing orders to go through for items they didn't have.. Anyways, the couscous salad was great. The lox and kohlrabi salad was mid with soggy bread. The pretzel was decent. Seating in the garden was viby - I'm assuming this is why everyone hypes this place up. Overall very pretentious. Walking around the greenhouse and seeing the plant prices is LAUGHABLE. As a gardener, these prices are insane and you can certainly find great plants at a much better price elsewhere. Again, pretentious. I've experienced their garden seating so I don't think I need to go back when visiting Lexington.
