First, it's just so cute! As you approach, you can't help but notice the beautiful mural on the windows. Then you step inside of the most charming little bakery. There are tables for in-store dining and tasty treats everywhere. Cookies, pies, croissants, refrigerated salads and sweets, candied nuts and even Rice Krispie treats. These are just some of the items available. I've never been to a bakery with that many different offerings. Everything looked amazing and everyone in line lets us know that everything is delicious!!! Honestly I wanted a bit of everything, but I had to have some self control. In the end I walked away with muffins, bars, a Bundt cake, a cake pop and tiramisu (this was all shared with another person). Just like the other patrons said, I quickly learned that everything was in fact delicious! It was fresh and so, so good!!! The staff was very kind and I think that Rebecca herself came out and chatted with us briefly. This was my first visit, but definitely won't be my last. Absolutely worth the drive from Lexington.

Had a good frosting ratio and had fun flavors like pistachio and oatmeal cream cookie. They seem to have weekly rotating flavors maybe even daily. We got the oatmeal cream cookie and it was crazy yummy I was very impressed with the cookies. They were a good size. The price point was nice. You don't get gouged for a cookie here. I bought the Nutella, which seems to be a chocolate hazelnut cookie with Nutella filled in the middle. Wow wow it was delicious. I also got pistachio cookies and those were amazing. I jumped on my trusty Yelp app and looked up bakeries and found Poppy's Bakery in Frankfort. I've been to Frankfort numerous times; but, had never taken a drive down that road. I am so glad I tried Poppy's out. From the moment I got out of my car I could smell the fresh baked goodies. One word.....heavenly. The lady working was so patient with me after I told her this was my first visit. Everything looked so delicious. I chose an assortment or cinnamon rolls, raspberry filled donuts, cheese danish and cherry cream Cheese danish. When I say this was the best danish Ive ever had I mean it! The danishes almost had a brûléed texture. One bite into that initial crunch then sweet, pillowy dough. My heavens...I'll be going there plenty.
