So many treats!!!
Stacy L.

Such a treat! (Literally) I've been following the business on Instagram for about a year now. This past weekend I finally stopped in and had such a wonderful experience. First, it's just so cute! As you approach, you can't help but notice the beautiful mural on the windows. Then you step inside of the most charming little bakery. There are tables for in-store dining and tasty treats everywhere. Cookies, pies, croissants, refrigerated salads and sweets, candied nuts and even Rice Krispie treats. These are just some of the items available. I've never been to a bakery with that many different offerings. Everything looked amazing and everyone in line lets us know that everything is delicious!!! Honestly I wanted a bit of everything, but I had to have some self control. In the end I walked away with muffins, bars, a Bundt cake, a cake pop and tiramisu (this was all shared with another person). Just like the other patrons said, I quickly learned that everything was in fact delicious! It was fresh and so, so good!!! The staff was very kind and I think that Rebecca herself came out and chatted with us briefly. This was my first visit, but definitely won't be my last. Absolutely worth the drive from Lexington.

Raspberry filled donut, lemon swiss roll, butterscotch tart

I wanted to love it. The variety and number of pastries is amazing. Everything looks great. But why was there so many items left at 5pm? I got 3 items. Raspberry filled donut, Lemon Swiss Roll and Butterscotch tart. And a latte. Nothing tasted fresh. Id say the donut was the best, the other two were not good. They were stale tasting. The coffee was great.

Lovely space and people! My fav thing I ordered was a salted caramel pretzel chocolate chip cookie! I think you can pass on the pistachio cake (overall didn't have that nutty pistachio flavor) and wedding cookies; that oddly weren't sweet enough. But I'll be back to try other cakes, bars, and baked goods.

Lucifer Brownie - the viral sensation

One of the best dessert and sandwich shop around! Staff is amazing and helpful! Ambiance is lovely, although seating is limited! I absolutely adore the Christmas tree cake theme - coffees, to cakes, to cheesecakes, they have it all Brownies are decadent - try a few! You won't regret it The custom cakes are reasonably priced and social media ready! They taste better than they look, too

Dream cake

Rebecca, I wanted to thank you for the cakes you baked for our 50th anniversary. You did a beautiful job replicating our wedding cake!!! The icing you did by hand on the corners was amazing along with the sugar topper that was 50 years old!! The fruit cake was perfect too and both were delicious!! You are a very talented baker!! Our day was special and you were a big part of it!! THANK YOU!!!

A great place to eat lunch and now they have Gluten free bread!!! Service is always fast! Very quite place to work. Lots of seating. And TONS of sweets!!! SUPPORT LOCAL!!!! We need these local businesses in small towns like this! Great coffee here also.

This place had a variety of baked goods on display, but I came seeking a fresh crepe. The white chocolate raspberry crepe I received delivered a melt in your mouth quality with a tongue-tingling flavor contrast and was a good size. I noted that they had the option to take some cakes and make them into shakes or something like that, which is probably very tasty and probably has a horrifying glycemic index. But assuming you didn't come to a dessert place looking for health food, you'll be satisfied. It is a little shop, but they did have a couple of tables set up outside when I was there.

The CUTEST dessert shop in downtown Georgetown! I was given a gift card to Rebecca's by one of my students and stopped in this summer to redeem. Walking in, the smell of all the sweets is enough to entice you to want to try one of everything! There is a great assortment of cookies, cakes, pies, and other baked goods. I picked up a mini cheesecake and two cookies that are decently sizeable. Everything was delicious! We enjoyed every bite. I will be back!

Homemade Fudge Round. So good

Everything I've had here is absolutely delicious! I'm an avid baker and come from a big family of talented cooks and bakers, so I am a little snobbish when it comes to what I'll pay money for. Every time I stop in I buy multiple treats so I can try as many as possible. I have good intentions of eating my box of treats over several days, but honestly they never really last long in my house! Today we stopped in about an hour before closing, and while it was obvious they'd been busy selling out trays all day, we still have several items to choose from. Todays selections include a tub of tiramisu (light, creamy, heavenly!), a big, thick fudge round, this delightful little thing called a fiddlesticks, as well as an eclair & cream horn for tomorrow morning.

If you're looking for a dessert option, this is a great place. Highlights - lots of chocolate treats and fancy desserts. We tried the Oreo Raspberry Cake. It was super moist, decadent, and heavy. Great cake slice, we really enjoyed it. The annoying part was that I ordered bourbon balls and I instead got some sort of vanilla truffle. I'm not a local but I'm pretty sure I didn't get bourbon balls. Didn't taste anything like bourbon at all. I was very disappointed since that is what I initially came in for and we didn't realize the mistake until much further in the day. The cake slice saves the review from being any lower but paying $12 for something I didn't want is annoying and ruins the experience somewhat. That is why quality counts from beginning to end. I still recommend trying this place out but make sure you check what you order so that you get the right thing.

After leaving yet another distillery, the ladies in our group wanted to head to Georgetown for some shopping. But before the shopping could begin, we needed lunch. We had stopped at Fava's a few weeks earlier with another group of friends for breakfast, and it was excellent. With that great experience in mind, we decided to try Fava's again, this time for lunch. The décor is classic Old Town Kentucky--exactly the kind of place that brings back childhood memories of small-town restaurants. Charming, comfortable, and familiar. We seated ourselves and looked over the menu. I went with the chili cheese hot dog with fries. My wife and one of our friends chose the open-faced Reuben, and the last member of our group ordered the club sandwich. Every dish was excellent. The club sandwich was so large it required a to-go box. Before leaving, everyone except me ordered pie to go-- Fava's pies are legendary, at least to my wife and me. I skipped dessert this time and immediately regretted missing their ice cream options. We dropped the pies off in the car (it was cold enough outside to keep them safe), and then the ladies headed off to explore the shops of Georgetown. And I cannot leave out the wait staff, very attentive and friendly . This was my second visit to Fava's, and both times have been outstanding. I'm already looking forward to our next "shopping trip" to Georgetown so I can enjoy their food again--and this time, I won't miss out on the ice cream.
