Oh hey there Chocolate Holler! I dig the new location :)…read more Located in Greyline Station, it was much easier to find parking here in the large lot behind the building versus the tiny lot at the previous location. It's been exactly one year since we last visited that old location, which has since closed. Though I have many years of memories tied to that one, I'm glad to see that business didn't close entirely. We were welcomed by a super-friendly and super-helpful barista who answered any of my "what is vegan?" questions. I ordered a Sipping Chocolate made with Davao, Philippines Dark Chocolate by Askinosie. Pinay-me was curious to taste chocolate by my people. It's delicious! https://bit.ly/3JHeBQL Hubby had the Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate. Also tasty! We actually came back five days later and had the Chocolate Chai. Yum! All of our drinks were made with oatmilk. Although this location is smaller than the OG location, it actually is very space-efficient with an abundant amount of tables and bar height seating. Also, a bit of outdoor seating and a few spots to sit around Greyline Station. They brought over remnants from the previous location such as board games and a collection of coffee sleeves with written messages on them.

That was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance is very casual and welcoming. We both wanted some coffee and have never been to the chocolate holler so we came here. I had the white blossom drink and my husband had the sleeping bear. Both of our drinks were pretty good. Wish more espresso was given without extra charge but that seems like most places these days. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were tasty. Would definitely come back here when craving unique chocolatey treats.

FYI they no longer have the post office services available. They had hazelnut filled chocolates half price. But I was after bourbon balls and chocolate covered pretzel rods. There is a section of reduced priced candy its where I found the chocolate covered maple cream. The aroma of chocolate when you walk in makes me feel like I gained 5 pounds (kidding mostly). A friend of mine loves black jelly beans and this is one of two places I can get just plain black jelly belly beans. You can also find UK items, pottery, post cards, books. This is now a stop on my list whenever I am in Lexington!

So far we've tried the milk chocolate key lime truffle and the fleur de sel sea salt caramel truffle and they both were so good! The caramel was thin and tasty and the salt really balanced the sweetness. Their key lime truffle is definitely a top contender, if not number 1, because they were able to pack so much of the lime flavor into a truffle. We definitely recommend this store and will be returning!

I had zero expectations. I tidied the Fleur de Sel mil chocolate caramel and was blown away. The flavor was off the scale, the powdering of salt mixing beautifully with the chocolate and caramel. Exquisite barely covers the flavor. These are true, confections, way above the Rebecca Ruth junk. Make an effort to go here, you will not regret it!

Sadly, they didn't have the chocolate covered grapes we went for, we were told the fruit was bad, and so not their fault. We asked about other options (strawberries, etc). The customer service lacked severely. Even though the store was empty, when trying to speak with her about options, she was short and uninterested in speaking to us. I'd expect so much better from our favorite chocolatier.

Its chocolate/espresso mouse and vanilla, but the cake was dry and I couldn't taste any espresso or coffee flavor at all. I had a dirty chai latte and it was a lot sweeter than I expected granted I should have asked for it to be less sweet. The house coffee is on a little acidic side as well. Not the bitter chocolate notes of coffee. The many people are there to help but its a little chaotic ordering. I also think it would be helpful if they added signs or names for the individual cake slices, so customers know what they're choosing without having to ask. Overall, the experience didn't quite meet my expectations. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future, but this visit missed the mark for me.
