This is a great local meat store because it's really low-key. My husband and I have always driven by here and we were always curious but never went inside until now. Definitely a local establishment which is nice - we like supporting the small businesses. They definitely get a lot of traffic here and it looks like they do good business and they have good quality products. We haven't bought any meats here yet but this review is based on their sandwiches. My husband ordered the number 3 and I ordered the number 12 and they were both very good. We didn't know this but you can also customize your sandwiches or do a custom order - we'll do that next time for sure. Sandwiches had a lot of meat - they were very generous hence the meat store lol. I definitely would recommend going here for lunch and it's actually quite affordable compared to prices nowadays. read more

We just had the stuffed pork chops for dinner last night . Wow! it was delicious!! center cut boneless stuffed, amazing in the oven. these traveled from Ohio to Michigan frozen solid, not sure what they do but those freezers are amazing for travel. read more

I agree with all the other reviews... so many times ive driven by, usually on the way home thinking, boy I need to stop there some day! Just walking in the door you realize, youve made the right decision by how fantastic it smells! There is the regular deli counter, sandwich counter, freezers full of take home dinner goodness, and a nice seating area! I tried the "So this is why we have tastebuds" and added lettuce and tomato. It was so yummy and packed full of plenty of high quality meat and cheese. The deep river chips they have are really good, along with the spicy pickle! They have a pre-set sandwich menu, or you can build your own. The deli has some amazing looking steaks and bacon. There are lots of goodies in the freezer such as twice baked potatoes, stuffed peppers, pasta, and so much more! I have been coming to The Meat Store for years and it has become my "go-to" for all of my fresh beef, chicken and pork needs. The owner and team are all knowledgeable and always pleasant. I have never had a bad experience with anything I have purchased there over the years. Their kababs are awesome and better than doing them from scratch. I usually try going around lunch as their sandwiches are the best. They're so big that I eat half for lunch and save the other half for the next day! As my wife and I are now empty-nesters, I started buying their frozen pre-made meals and have to say that they are outstanding. So here's the deal, I'm giving the chicken salad that we had for our main dish a four out of five. After I had written the rest of this review I realized there was no reason not to give the rest of my experience a five out of five so this is me going back and giving it five stars and suggesting they add some flavor to their basic chicken salad because it's definitely not "the best in Cincinnati" :p I'll give this place a five out of five for the friendliness and helpful suggestions of the people who work there. They feel like your neighborhood meat store rather than some other random restaurant. My husband and I probably have an unhealthy relationship with chicken salad and so we're always looking for new places to try it. It was good but nothing special here. I also grabbed their cheesecake brownie which in my experience you could leave as the cheesecake portion of it was rather dry and just on top of the brownie and the brownie itself was dry as well. I also nabbed a peanut butter brownie which was better But beware you better be a peanut butter lover as it has just has a mound of peanut butter in it. No complaints here, just be aware. I visited this establishment looking for a seasoning. Upon entering I was rudely told that I needed to stand outside due to store being at capacity due to regulation of Covid-19 which I understand. How am I supposed to know how many people are inside if I don't open the door to look to see how many people are in the store which there was already 4 customers. The meats they have looked good tho. I have never used a butcher before, and I decided to give these guys a try. The meat selection seemed to be on the light side, but since I have nothing to compare it to, I really don't know what a "normal" selection would be. They sell more than just meat - they have side dishes (double baked potatoes, macaroni salad, etc.) and some deli selections. They even have some lunch specials. The employees were very friendly, and the prices seemed pretty reasonable to me (although again, I have nothing to compare it to). I ended up picking up some sirloin. Got just over 2.25 lbs for a little over $20. I took them up on their offer to tenderize it for me, and took it home it cooked it on the grill that night. It cooked very well and tasted great. I will most definitely shop here again, and I will probably buy a bunch of stuff for my Dad for Fathers Day. read more

They roast their own ham and beef, for the best deli meats, without unwanted ingredients (they carry Dietz and Watson, too). Their breakfast sausage can't be beat, and the meat loaf is the only meat loaf I've ever liked. Ask for the ingredient list: everything they make on the premises has a recipe that they will gladly show you. They will specially prepare a fresh turkey from a local farm for you at Thanksgiving, or Rib Roast at Christmas, or whatever you want. They offer sides of beef, butchered to your preference (1/4, 1/2, or whole). I've done a half, and they did an excellent butcher job, exactly like I asked. Yes, they're more expensive than Meijer down the street, but the quality is the best. And Mark and family are very personable, yet very professional. I can't imagine what the one reviewer experienced when he said they were condescending and unprofessional, except maybe he misread the one butcher, who is shy? At any rate, I would give them 10 stars if I could. (And no, I'm not related in any way. Just glad this place isn't too far from me.) read more
