This Kroger location used to be my go to for groceries, but it's changed quite a bit recently. Prices have gone up noticeably, and it feels like every trip something costs more than I remember. Even more frustrating, several products I used to rely on aren't on the shelves anymore, no explanation, just gone. It's forced me to start shopping around more instead of doing all my grocery shopping in one place like I used to. I used to shop at the Kroger at Mt. Carmel road with some regularity, especially during lockdown when they went full pick-up. Since that store shut down and was demolished to make way for Wawa, I don't find myself going to Kroger that often but if I do, I wind up here. If you're a Kroger regular, I feel like this store has a decent selection and you'll find everything you were looking for. However, the overall experience makes this one of my last-choice grocery stores in the area. Every time I come to this Kroger I feel like I've taken my life in my hands simply pulling into the parking lot. There are cars driving everywhere, entering and exiting the gas station without looking, just pure chaos. Inside the store isn't much better. Most aisles aren't really wide enough for two carts so good luck if you end up shopping at a busy time. There are few places to pull over or park your cart to grab something so you're just always in someone's way, sorry about that. This store desperately needs a refresh, which I'm sure hasn't happened because of the mall fiasco, but if that doesn't get resolved I hope they might think about renovating this store. read more

Closes at 10pm not eleven. Overall the service is decent and the fruit and vegetables are decent but not as good as other places nearby yet there are a handful of things you can get here that you can't get at the nearby competitors on the other hand. There are many things that the competitors have that the store does not have... The very best Kroger store is Anderson Township, or any of the other super Kroger's that have much more space in variety as well as entertainment, and even a bar and Food to eat while you shop read more

As much as Ive loved this location in the past for the great customer service, I need to downgrade my review, and also warn everyone about the over the top bad Clicklist experience I recently had.... I generally prefer to go inside and pick out my own groceries, however I was sick and needed some items. For a limited time through new years, they are offering the service for free on orders over $35 so I decided to try it out. The ordering on the app was seamless. I picked a time later in the day to pickup and arrived promptly at the beginning of the window. I called the number as instructed on the sign and they came right out with my order. The young guy asked if I had any coupons and then quickly ran away. Out comes another lady with a print out to tell me the 1 working tablet out of the 4 they have had accidentally cashed me out, so they couldnt apply my coupons. They also gave me a substitution when I checked the box for no subs. She said there was no manager there tonight but theyd refund me tomorrow... however it would take 14 business days to post. I asked for documentation that this was going to be done and for how much and she said they didnt have a way to do that, but at least took out her cell phone and added up how much I should receive. Great. Got home to unload car, IT WAS NOT MY ORDER. Called back, they said to keep those groceries, to come back and get my order, PS, STILL SICK. Drove back down there, they realized they didnt have my order and I had to wait while they quickly gathered it again. The ladies were very nice and apologetic. They did give me a $10 credit for my troubles on top of what they owed me back. This may not be the nicest, fanciest Kroger in the greater eastside, but what kept me coming back INSIDE was the above and beyond service from the pharmacy here. This has now changed and ive had multiple bad experiences there recently too. They've messed up my prescriptions as well as my dogs to extreme levels and these are things ive been filling for over a year. Refills got deleted. I was forced to fil 3 months when ive always only filled one. The list goes on. They never take responsibility for these screw ups either. Other down sides to this store is it always seems to smell like the seafood dept upon walking in, which is very unfortunate. Also, it is a smaller store, so there is less selection. There is a great small craft beer selection, kudos to the manager of this dept! So you as the consumer choose what is most important to you. This is the most uncustomer friendly store I have ever had the misfortune of going into. I will never give them another chance to treat me with the disrespect and attitude that they just did. What a s***hole this store is. First of all, it always smells like a combination of b.o. and mildew. The aisles are always blocked by carts, boxes, and various debris. Just now, my self-check terminal froze because of an "ID check required" for my cold medicine. I'm 56. Twice the disinterested employee coveting the area shuffled by me and completely ignored me as I said "Excuse me...." as she went to other customers who asked for help after I had. Then she walked away entirely. So, literally after 5 minutes, I left my $30 of stuff there and walked out. The BMV at 4:45 on a Friday has better service. read more

everyone I cannot express this enough if you do not look at your receipts when you check out more than likely money has been taken from you I was just at Kroger's there was five things that didn't ring up right one was supposed to be buy one get one free and it charged me like 579 for it the other four was 350 and it rang up five dollars. When I asked to speak to a manager the person told me she just went on break and she was not being disturbed when I asked again nicely please get your manager she's running a store she said she just started her break and is not to be disturbed then came another employee amd ask the first employee do you want me to get the manager and the first employee said no she's on break I said will you please get her he said no and start running his mouth to me. Whenever we hit this Kroger it is usually while we are trying to run other errands and just need a few things... The parking lot drives me crazy... for whatever reason there are always a ton of people coming in and out and cars everywhere... Overall the selection is nice, its a great produce section and I never wait in line too long. As a grocery store, its one of the better ones in the area but the parking lot drives down my star count. read more

This Kroger is too cramped, inside and out. The parking lot is enough to make me dread coming here. I have left with dings on my car, parking away is not an option because the parking lot is always so full that there aren't spaces that are isolated. The gas station has poor placement. It makes traffic flow very unpredictable. It doesn't seem to matter who is working self checkout, you will be ignored. Some of the prices are very different from other Kroger's. Why would I pay more to shop in a store I don't like? I emailed customer help for an undesired object being in one of my food items. The default email said the store manager would contact me, that never happened. Since then I never went back to any Kroger. read more

***update*** In the months since I have posted this review, I have noticed that this Kroger seems to be doing a much better job of keeping the shelves stocked with items when they are on sale. Thanks, Kroger, I'm adding a star! Also, though not as good as Jungle Jim's produce, the produce at this location is still fresher and higher quality than many of the other Krogers I have been to. ***end update*** We started going here this past summer. Unfortunately, this Kroger is almost always sold out of the sale items. We are on a tight budget right now so have been planning our meals around couponing and shopping for advertised sale items. It doesn't seem to matter what day/time we go, the good sale items are almost always sold out, even when I ask an employee if they can check the in the back for the specific items. As an example, there was recently a one-day sale on Pop Tarts for 99 cents a box. On the day of the sale, we stopped in this Kroger on our way to an appointment specifically to pick up a couple boxes and arrived at 7 am, well before the morning rush of shoppers. As we approached the breakfast area, we saw a woman loading up her arms with as many Pop Tarts as she could carry and staggering away with probably at least dozen boxes of what appeared to be cherry Pop Tarts in her arms. There was maybe one box of that flavor left on the shelf. We were looking for blueberry and chocolate, but those flavors were completely gone. The rest of the flavors looked to be running very low. Yes, at 7 am, the day of a one-day sale on this very item. Now in all fairness, we had to leave for our appointment so didn't have time to hunt down an employee and ask them to check the back, but I'm guessing there were not more in the back. We have experienced this prematurely sold out phenomenon with Fairlife milk, John Morrell hot dogs, and Birds Eye frozen vegetables, to name a few deals we have lost out on. Also Philadelphia cream cheese and one Free Friday download of Private Selection BBQ sauce. It doesn't matter whether it's 7, 8, 9, or 10, on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I mean, what in the heck? I don't know if this is because this is the last Kroger on eastbound route 32 before you get into the exurbs/countryside so the all the rural folks are traveling here to shop; or because Clermont County is experiencing a population boom; and/or people around here are in the same financial situation as us looking for deals; and/or everyone around these parts is as extreme of a shopper as Pop Tart Lady and a few people hog up all the good stuff before anyone else has a chance. Finally, they charge more for meat at this Kroger. We will be going back to our previous Kroger, even though it is a further drive for us, because they usually (though nothave the sale items we are seeking. This particular Kroger store is the closet one to where I live. It isn't uncommon for me to shop for a full compliment of groceries for the family or to just grab a few snacks and nibbles on the go. The Kroger is a little smaller than most. You can find what you need, but you might not find every brand of a food item. Saturdays and Sundays are the best days to go, as there are usually plenty of samples...although throughout the week there always seems to be a steady supply of samples in the produce area. In addition to the normal grocery items, there is a floral area, books and magazines, and a pharmacy. There's only a handful of traditional registers, with two express lanes and about four U-Scans. Easy to navigate and find what you need, it's your everyday, run-of-the-mill, typical Kroger store. Mahalo, and enjoy. read more

Yesterday it started storming right as we were leaving. It was POURING rain, hail, wind, etc. A girl named Sarah (we think) was there and ready to help us out. She gave my daughter and I umbrellas to get to the car and then had us pull up front. She loaded our groceries for us by the door. Even though she was wearing a poncho, she got soaked. I felt terrible but this girl was so gracious and nice! I would've been irritated if I was tapped for that job...But she was a champ! That's it. I hate this place so much I'm writing a review in hope that someone cares enough to fix this location. The nearby Kroger at Mt Carmel road was turned into a "pickup only" store (really, I'm sure that's taking off)... and ever since then, this store has been crowded with no changes made to adapt. The parking lot is small and congested. I don't know who does inventory here but they frequently run out of normal, everyday stuff. They keep piling things that don't fit in the already narrow aisles, and when you combine that with a community of people that have strangely horrible spatial awareness, it makes for a truly fun experience. I also had a good laugh at the "reopening"... what did you even do? The pharmacy is a disaster. I had to drop off a prescription and they had "closed" the drop off line and wanted me to wait in a (not moving) line of 10+ people to drop off a piece of paper, then wait again for the prescription to be ready, then wait in the same line again to pick it up (I took myself elsewhere). If you're saying you're open at 8 am the day after a holiday, and I arrive for my meds at 820, and I have to wait while you guys dig through two different bins to find them, you might wanna have employees arrive much sooner than 8am put the meds away in the proper area. Keep doing you, Kroger. Your deli staff is personable and helpful, your fish and meat counter staff are just great. I've built a report with better than half of them and genuinely look forward to my weekly grocery trip here. I've run into some off-putting cashiers on rare occasion, but that's probably to be expected given the realities of the job (I'm sure it doesn't pay great and can be pretty monotonous and bad on the back/knees) - so I'm certainly not expecting the royal treatment or anything. One time though, the checkout kid had the gall to tell me that my bulk sweet potatoes were in fact organic yams and I decided not to argue with him and just pay the extra 50 cents. So whatever. On a seriously awesome note - arriving home after a visit I immediately began cooking dinner. Five minutes in I realized I was missing a number of things I swore I had purchased. After a quick look I realized they never made it into my car. Called the service desk, and apparently a bag never made it to my buggy. They had it at the desk and gave me a direct number to call when I got there and they said they'd run it out to me - a lifesaver since my sauce was already reducing and I needed to bolt to avoid a ruined dinner. Drove the half mile back to the store and they ran it out to me. It was a meal-saver and beyond what I'd ever expect. I couldn't thank the lady enough. read more

Bakery Only - I have enjoyed things from this bakery before, but today made me not want to ever return. I ordered a custom cake for my son's 18th birthday. It was a chocolate double layered round cake with white whipped icing and KY blue decorations/writing. I came to pick it up and not only was it in a small box, but two sides were smashed against the sides. There was not even enough icing on the non-smashed sides and you could see the chocolate cake. To make matters worse, there was only a poor older gentleman left of charge of the bakery who has no experience in decorating. He didn't have anyone to call to help him fix it. He honestly tried his best, which I appreciated very much, but it was horrible! They didn't try to make amends by offering a discount or any compensation. It was already paid for . I will NOT ever get another thing from this bakery location! read more

The Kroger Pharmacy at the Eastgate Ohio store has been a huge disappointment. I switched all of my elderly mother's prescription to this pharmacy because her preferred pharmacy doesn't take her insurance anymore. The wait time is awful. The techs are extremely rude, Peter in particular. He was unhelpful and rude. He did not know the medications. There were five ready but I was only supposed to be picking up four. I told him the four I needed but he was not educated enough to distinguish generic versus name brand. The total for four ended up being more than seven the previous month. He was extremely rude when I wanted to look up GoodRX prices and he was actually so rude I ended up leaving and paying the full price. If it wasn't conveniently located I wouldn't go back. When I go at the end of the month to pick up refills, if I get the same treatment I will move my mom's prescriptions to CVS. read more

Place is shitty as fuck. I bought some chicken breast from there and they had to take it in the back and when they brought it back out there were pubic hairs all over it. I asked a worker to help me find something and he ignored me. When I told customer service about the worker ignoring me, they pretended they were too busy to help me. The cashier I went to was 60+ and had no idea what she was doing and tried charging me extra on everything. Think it could get any worse? The damn bagger put my milk on top of my eggs! This was all in one shopping trip! Later when someone I know worked there, (his name was Trey in case you think I'm making this up) they would schedule him for days he told them he couldnt work, they treated him unfairly and he would always be pissed at them for it, he stopped showing up because they did nothing about customer service, management and his co-workers being rude to him. Do not get me wrong Kroger is normally excellent, just in eastgate it is horrible because most of the people that work there. read more
