Kept life a little simpler this Thanksgiving by ordering The Fresh Market's Traditional Turkey Meal, which comes with a 10-12 pound fully cooked turkey, four pounds of Yukon Gold whipped potatoes, three pounds of herb stuffing, a pound of cranberry walnut relish, 30 oz of turkey gravy a dozen butter & egg dinner rolls . I added an order of green beans and carrots and crab cakes. I chose the 9-10 am pickup window the day before Thanksgiving and found an orderly line of shoppers picking up their meals. The staff was friendly and efficient in getting us our orders, which came in good quality cooler boxes. The cooking instructions were easy to follow and, with the appetizers, ham and dessert we had to supplement Fresh Market's staples, this was more than enough food for our gathering of five. Plenty of parking and carts, friendly staff, and amazing selection of products, especially whole bean coffees from really cool roasters! Employee issues I'm just gonna start out by Saying the Sale prices in the meat department related to me keying in my reward number never take because the receipts say not found after the fact... my wife an myself have both experienced this and apparently so has my neighbor who I thanked for cutting my grass. Im a Transgender Female and yes your employees went the wrong path in service... Its obviously apparent how I present with C cup breast, makeup and a purse dangling from my arm... Stopped in this store recently as we were in the area, and we needed to pick up a few items while we were out. Their produce was in great shape and there was a good selection. Their prices are higher than where we usually shop, but we knew that before going in. Sometimes the price is warranted, but not always. This one is a little larger than the one we usually go to. Prior to and throughput the pandemic I have found Fresh Market to be exceptional. One of the cleanest markets I've ever been inside. The curbside service is top notch. The products are just super. I have tried baked goods, prepared foods, unusual fruits and most recently fallen in love with the ultimate crab cakes. They are awesome. I don't want a bunch of filler or added items, I like to taste the crab. I even compared them another popular market and for me there was no comparison. They are number 1 for a reason. read more

To me, Fresh Market is like Whole Foods' thinner, more chic little sister. Both sell organically grown produce and naturally made specialty items, only Fresh Market does it on a smaller scale with a bit more flair. Shopping at Fresh Market is more of an event, rather than another chore to be marked off the to-do list. The unblemished produce is exotic, but also competitively priced. I just bought ten ears of yellow corn for $2, a price comparable to any farmer's market. The staff is also friendly and helpful. After selecting a few chicken sausages, I asked the butcher if they would hold up on the ride back to Kentucky. He unhesitatingly offered to put them on ice for the journey. The prices are bit cost prohibitive for my weekly shopping, but I will definitely be back for the produce, butcher, and seafood sections. read more

Fresh Market is an impressive place. The store just looks beautiful the way it's laid out and the way it's decorated. They have small carts that have baskets in them which are cute as well as the big carts. They also have what appears to be a garage door entrance as well as some normal door entrances. The one thing I wasn't impressed with was the prices. They were pretty ridiculous. I'm a bargain hunter and I pay serious attention to prices. I bet you I could find each and every item in that store somewhere else for less. Basically you are paying for the experience of shopping at Fresh Market on top of the products you buy. However, there was one thing that I noticed that had a good price. They have a bulk foods section and the turbinado sugar was only about $1.80/lb. I bought myself a hefty bag of that stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the other items in the bulk foods section also had good prices, but look carefully! read more

Fantastic customer service! And best deal for one pizza and get chicken wings free. They are WAY overpriced on some items including produce but it's never bad produce. I have found some items that have expired but I bought attention to staff and they quickly took care of it. I love this place to grab some drinks, beer, wine and maybe small bites for a party. Maybe a bunch of flowers or if you need a candle for a gift. Again you are going to pay a convenience for that but it's to be expected. They also have option to email receipt. I noticed they charged me for 4 items instead of two and the manager Jen gave me full refund. Having already been familiar with Fresh Market before moving to the Cincinnati area, I expected a lot. This location has lived up to my expectations in the areas of meat and frozen seafood. The fresh seafood has been pivotal, however. I continue to be disappointed by the fresh fish having had both tuna and salmon from here that were far less than fresh. We do find, however, that their frozen shrimp are superior to any other we can find in the area. The produce and bakery departments seem to be on par with other Fresh Markets I've visited. The parking is sufficient and the employees are friendly. The market has nice fresh flowers; recently we got a bouquet of roses for $6.99. read more

I really love the savory chicken wings that you can buy already cooked in the deli! I consider myself lucky that not only do I have two Krogers very nearby to choose from for grocery shopping, but I also have three different high end "farmers market" type groceries to choose from as well. There are things I like about Whole Foods in Hyde Park and Fresh Thyme over by Target, but I find myself in Fresh Market more often than the other two combined I think the selection of baked goods here is better than the other two, and I love the soft fresh filled croissant here. The strawberry cheesecake ones are the best. I also think the selection of prepared foods, for those nights where I want to eat at home but don't want to cook, is the best here I have had better luck finding good produce here than the other two Parking can be a problem because the lot is a bit smaller than it should be for this store read more

This place, though further than my neighborhood FM, is a much better option as their staff is friendly, there is less turnover and they generally know and do what's advertised. The specialty counter staff also seem better trained as they have been there longer. Sadly because of the distance I only get here at most a couple times a month as opposed to the few times a week at the Kenwood location like I used to. I like the layout of this location and it just flows better for me because somehow it makes more sense. The staff here seems happier than the other store, too. God, I wish there would be a Fresh Market in Clifton! I absolutely love this place! Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those health nuts who only buys organic and spends their paycheck at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Sure, once in a while I'll go to the latter to get some stuff I can't find at my local Kroger, but 85% of the stuff I purchase for my kitchen is not from one of those close-to-the-source organic markets. That being said... I love Fresh Market! I first went to the one in Kenwood because I needed some milk and was at the mall, figuring I could just stop in. I didn't explore the place, so at the time I didn't really take anything away from it. This past weekend, however, I stopped at a friend's in Oakley and needed to buy one item at the supermarket. I saw the Fresh Market in the distance down Madison Rd and decided that was a fine option. I went in for one small item and walked away with $30 of bulk nuts, spices, and produce. Whoops! What is great about the Oakley Fresh Market is the layout, the fact it's on a very major road and easy to find, and everything looks... well... FRESH! I love the abundance of bulk items such as nuts, dried fruits, and coffee beans. I love the huge cheese area at the deli, as well as the availability of fresh sushi! In conclusion, I must beg the neighborhood of Clifton and the Fresh Market corporation to open a location near my apartment ASAP! read more

I go to Fresh Market when I'm feeling rich - you know - before I've paid my bills. It's a treat - the lobster cakes are really my favorite thing in the entire store - try them! It is expensive but it's pretty, it's clean and it's fresh. So go for good produce and good meat/fish/etc... The sushi is also good - which is way more than I can say for Meijer or Biggs... I'm not sure what it is, but there's just something about the Fresh Market that rubs me the wrong way. It may be that the whole concept of the chain feels a little pretentious, like some guys were sitting around a boardroom table trying to weasel out a way to make a grocery store seem upscale. "I know! Violins and rocking chairs above the produce!" It's a good place to shop if the dreadlocks and ironic facial hair at Whole Foods make you nervous and you don't feel like fighting with the traffic at Kroger, but really FM doesn't offer anything you can't get at Whole Foods (better quality and wider selection) or at Kroger (much cheaper). Still, though, existential anxieties aside, the Fresh Market is fine, it just doesn't float my boat. read more

I used to think this market was pure overpriced disappointment. HOWEVER. I have delved a little deeper into their bulk coffee and prepared foods, and now I kind of love it. Their coffee is really great and they have a lot to choose from, and everything is $11.99/lb which is a good price in my opinion. They also always have one that is $10.99 a pound- it varies, last time I was there it was a Kona blend. Their pre-seasoned or prepared but not cooked food is great. They have a good seafood and meat selection, and always have a bunch of options like pecan crusted mahi mahi or portobella mushroom stuffed chicken. They wrap everything up with instructions on the label, which is helpful. They also have a lot of interested prepared salads featuring things like quinoa and edamame. I still won't buy a whole grocery load there, but if I'm looking to cook something interesting without the aid of pinterest, this is a go-to spot. read more

As mentioned in other reviews this location can be a bit difficult to navigate. They offer fresh produce, bakery, meats, dairy, and prepared foods. They also offer bulk foods. They have isles of packaged foods with an emphasis on specialty packaged foods like gluten free options. They have a large wine and beer section as well. The produce seemed to be of better quality to me in recent trips as compared to my previous visits. Prices in general are still quite high. read more

I must say this was the most disappointed I have ever been with this store! I was looking for a prime rib, was assisted by a manager and by a gentleman behind the counter. Was told no problem, would have it cut and tied for me....6 minutes no more. I then proceeded to wander the store make other selections and headed back to the counter. The same gentleman who told me "6 minutes" stood there looking at me like I was a ghost. When I asked for my meat he looked at me blankly and all of a sudden stuttered and said it will just be a minute for me to cut. Is anyone else confused by the "aisles" that lead to the registers? While they are kind of fun and cozy feeling, I inevitably wheel my cart in through one trellis, and then feel like I went the wrong way. Maybe it's just me. Besides that, I do enjoy the feel of the market- lots of barrels, wooden bins, etc. In any case, while, as my fellow Yelpers have said, the Fresh Market is pricey and maybe not a stop for a full on grocery stock up, it has great bulk items. Also, the weekly specials aren't bad at all (2.99 Tuesdays, weekly deals, and weekend specials all can be found online!). While I haven't been, I just discovered they occasionally have free cooking demonstrations, too! I should have looked at the reviews before venturing in last week. I'm used to DLM and since moving to Cincy I'm disappointed in the lack of options in high end grocery. A year ago I purchased beef that went bad pretty quickly in my frig. This time I decided to give you another try and I purchased grapes within a day were brown and not so good ....same with eggs that had no expiration date. What gives with this place? So here's the thing with Fresh Market. IT IS EXPENSIVE. I mean, I expect that but it's more expensive than expected. I really only go here for their coffee beans (almond amaretto--it will change your life) and the occasional cupcake (when Cincy Yum is closed). Considering they are a boutique supermarket, I wish they catered more to the atypical diets like gluten free. There is hardly anything gluten-free here though I will say they are the only place around to carry baked lentil chips (I assume Whole Foods might have them but I didn't see them). I know they don't sound super yum-yum in your tum-tum but they are. So now I guess I will come here for those too since I hate having to fight Rookwood traffic to go to Whole Foods. I'd much rather buy my organic produce from K-Roger for at least a price that's somewhat in the universe of reasonable when I can't get it from a farmer's market. I'd also much rather cultivate a habit of venturing to Findlay Market every Saturday morning to get produce rather than tap out my bank account by getting it at Fresh Market. read more

Only good for buying fresh meat and fish and some baked goods. Produce is very expensive and not worth it. ... Checkout experience (in the very, very dark lanes) is always, always awful, along the lines of, "Oh, you want to pay for your items now? Sigh. OK, I guess I'll come over to my register and do my job." ... And on a recent trip, I found yogurt that was about 2 months past expiration date on the crammed shelves. I told a manager as I checked out and got a shrug. Sheesh! How do you not check your dairy shelves for two months and just keep jamming containers in there instead? I called earlier this week to see if they had twice baked potatoes, so I sent my husband over the next day to grab a few for dinner. These were probably the worst, driest twice baked potatoes I have ever had. I definitely do not recommend them.
