I love this location of Meijer. It's really easy to access, and every time I go, it's clean, organized, and super spacious, nothing ever feels too crowded or overwhelming. Right when you walk in, they usually have a plant section that's always well maintained and fun to browse. They also sometimes have a rotating dollar section at the entrance where you can find some really great deals. I'm always surprised by how good their book selection is. They carry so many bestsellers, coloring books, and just a wide range of options that you don't usually expect from a store like this. Their grocery section is also really great. I especially love their frozen section because they have a lot of vegetarian options and some unique items you can't always find at other stores. Their produce is consistently fresh, and they also have a great alcohol section with a wide variety of wines and other options. One of my favorite things is the random clearance areas scattered throughout the store. I've found everything from discounted wine to fun miscellaneous items. There's also a great selection of pantry staples and shelf items, with more variety than you'd expect, so you can usually find something a little different at a good price. Their clothing section is another highlight, with really good prices on both basics and name brand items. They also carry local sports apparel for cheap, like Cincinnati Reds gear, which is a nice touch. The home goods section can be a little hit or miss style-wise, but the prices are great, and I've found some really good kitchen items there. They also have a large seasonal section that rotates throughout the year with outdoor decor, sports equipment in the summer, and holiday decorations in the winter. Overall, this is one of those stores where you can go for just about anything. They even have a small craft section, which I do wish was a bit bigger, but it's still a nice bonus. I've been coming to this location for the past several months now only because it's close but so is very convenient. This store is huge.. lots of space which is nice because when it's busy, there enough room for everyone without having to squeeze through the isles. It's quite clean as well which is nice. Although this grocery store is more expensive than an Aldi or Walmart - they have better quality items. I buy my fruit produce here occasionally and they're always good. They have great sales on blueberries in the summer and they're sweet. Lastly I like that if you sign up for their perks - you accumulate points in which you can use in the store. I've saved a couple of dollars with my points and received some free stuff too! read more

Meijer is my go-to grocery store and pharmacy. I'm more comfortable at this store compared to all of the others in the Eastgate area with wide aisles and good lighting. I can find all of the major brands along with the Meijer select brands for quality and selection. My kind of store. read more

do not ever go to the store in Eastgate. My 16-year-old grandson there will not tell him why will not tell me why will not video of anything. The acting was a total asshole to not tell me even why my grandson was kicked said he didn't have to tell me he didn't have to show video old lady won't say why she kicked him out I've been in there a few times myself and have dealt with rudeness from people they're way overpriced. So if you have any teenagers that go in there by themselves be prepared if they get kicked out, they're not gonna tell you why they're not gonna show you video they're just gonna tell you to leave. read more

I frequent the store a lot when I'm in Cincy because it is walking distance from my hotel and, well, I'm kinda lazy. The store is clean and the staff are friendly. Show up on the right day and there are amazing sales on crap you shouldn't buy but do anyway because it's unhealthy but really tasty. My only issue is that it is hit-or-miss with what they will have on the shelves. Some days they are fully stocked and have everything you could ever want, while others the shelves are nearly bare. It is the wierdest thing and I can't explain why. But in general, it's a great place to grab grub to take back to my hotel room and nuke in the microwave or stash away in the mini fridge. read more

I am partial to shopping at Meijer over Walmart or Target. This location has a garden center that is well stocked during the Spring and Summer months. There is a large selection of dry goods in the grocery section. The selection in the dairy area is not bad either. Custome service is okay. Finding employees to help can be very hit or miss. Those who have helped me have been pleasant enough. With thirty register lanes, it is extremely noticeable that only two ever seem to be open. That and the self checkout is open. read more

This is a great newly renovated Meijer. Very happy that it is the one closest to my house. They have a super big selection of so many things. I have been surprised at some of the higher end brands they carry in skin care/cosmetics and health food. Shop the sales as those are where you get the best deals, as well as by using the M-Perks App. Things here are generally clean and well organized. The produce is good quality and I find things here that Kroger does not have. I find their prices to be better than Kroger in most cases. Household goods such as cleaning supplies are usually cheaper at Target. I do agree with others reviews that I almost NEVER see employees out on the floor, but I havent really needed assistance, and I mostly use self checkout. read more

The store is clean but doesn't have a lot of workers on the floor. I asked an employee for an artichoke and she got someone to tell me to go look in the middle of the store. I couldnt find them. Later I asked someone for help in finding a canned item. He took me to it. My cashier was not very friendly today but it is Christmas eve. I have had friendly cashiers before. Servicedesk people and seafood people have always been helpful. I like the mperks and mailed coupons. Pharmacy staff is friendly but several times my prescriptions were delayed when they had to order. I like the free 30 and 90 day prescriptions for basic drugs. You need to know your prices. Just like shopping at Krogers or Walmart. read more

Unfortunately, I have to drop a star on my review. I like this Meijer, I shop here more than any other grocery store but lately, I am disappointed. I cannot bring myself to keep buying their produce because I am already there so I have just been going elsewhere for my fruits and vegetables. The strawberries have to be inspected well because many packs have mold. The raspberries look like a gang of toddlers came in and stocked them because they are usually splattered on the bottoms of the containers. And the blueberries, let's just say that very same gang of toddlers wanted to reinact Braveheart warpaint. read more

I called the Eastgate Meijer to see if what I wanted was in stock. I was put on hold for ten minutes. I hung up and called back. The automated system sent me to the wrong department. I called again and it did the same thing. I was really angry by then. I asked for a manager. He handed the phone off to an employee instead of checking for the product himself. The employee said they were out of stock. Twenty minutes and all that b.s. for nothing!! I complained to the manager. He got irritated with me and complained how he had to walk all the way from the other side of the store to help me. Apparently I inconvenienced him. This is one of the better Meijer locations that I visit, but it's still not great. Everything is kept organized and clean looking for the most part. Shelves are usually well stocked and they always have a decent amount of seasonal merchandise..though it's a lot of the same stuff every year. I guess the only actual annoying thing about this particular location is that they don't have self serve registers near both entrances like most others do. They only have them at the grocery entrance. So if you park on the other side and want to use them you have a long walk to the other end of the store to exit. Not a huge gripe but kind of annoying. They also don't have much going on as for kiosks near the entrance. Where some others have hair cutting shops and coffee shops..this one doesn't really have anything much. Its a shame and seems like a wasted opportunity with all of those customers that have to make the long walk to the other end of the store to exit. read more

Not very impressed with what happened last week with one of your Cart Attends, my Son was up at the Eastgate Store to buy groceries he spent 85.00 dollars in your store. He went to reach for a cart and your cart attended was very rude to him. He told him he couldn't have this cart that he needed to get another, no explanation or nothing. My son said excuse me is come back was you heard me. Now is that how you want your employees to talk to guests. As a family we spend alot of money at this store. For my son to be talked to like that, well I will not be coming back. I do work in retail and I know how to respect people and that was so disrespectful so I think you should know how mejyers employees talk to your guests not very nice. I feel so sorry for the people that work in this store. They always look so depressed and sad. It is sad that even the employees are so lazy they do not return grocery carts to the corral in the parking lot. The guy with the red Dodge is the worst offender. What kind of a jerk screws over his team mates? No wonder everyone there seems so bummed out if they treat each other so poorly. Makes you wonder what service is like? Mixed bag to say the least. Self check out is hit or miss. They took a lot of the self check out during some remodel job so wait times are triple compared to what it used to be. They now have 6 self check out lanes and sometimes all 6 are working but sadly most of the time only 4 or less really work and open. They have like 33 check out lanes but most of the time only 2 or 3 are manned. I like that I know where most stuff is but it seems like they are going out of business or something. read more

Where has customer service gone? It's definitely not here at Meijer Eastgate. I purchased 400 dollars worth of groceries and could not find a lane that was opened. I was told to use the self checkout lane, really! I was going to leave my cart of groceries when a cashier decided t open a lane. While checking me out, she looks at me and says the bags are all full. Then she sarcastically asks if she can put my bags in the cart. While this is occurring, the manager is BSing with 4 employees in front of the service desk. Ridiculous. read more

Always find what I need. Convenient location with easy access. There are a couple restaurants out front and a Chase Bank. The store is clean and well stocked. The pharmacy has good hours and friendly Pharmacists. I prefer Meijer over Walmart. read more

I went in today 5 mins before I got there and asked for a certain item, I was told they didn't have it people have been calling all day for it etc..... I get in there and the whole shelf is full!!! I do my big grocery shopping at meijer late at night and I must say it's quite different than during the day. I understand stock needs to be put up and that is the best time to do it however I am still a customer and I shouldn't have to push dirty bins and boxes out my way just to get through the aisles and no one was willing to move them out of my way.
