Well, what can I say about this little gem that hasn't been said, already? The service is great! The Chicken Salad is phenomenal. The Pasta Salad is perfection! The Sloppy Joe's are so delicious it makes me wanna cry because they are so far away from my home! (California) Of course, that could be a blessing in disguise, too! LOL The Pizza is fresh, yummy, and whatever you want it to be! And it's SO GOOD, you simply can't go wrong, there. When I return to Kentucky for some more time at The Ark Encounter, I will DEFINITELY be staying in Glencoe again, and will be frequenting this wonderful establishment while I'm there! We came in for the pizza and were not disappointed! The four of us ordered two larges, a SUPREME and a PESTO CHICKEN. The order went in, the owner made them right there behind the counter, baked them and we were eating delicious, thick crusted homemade pizzas within 20 mins! They served it to us at our table, with packaged mozzarella cheese and shipped-in ranch, but the marina sauce came in little ramekin tubs, and it was phenomenal, tasted homemade! read more

Stopped in during a long drive and noticed this quaint general store. I was greeted and welcomed with beautiful charm. Asked for a coffee on a 90+ degree day and took in their small town general store which was decorated with so many interesting objects. Coffee was good and hope to be back for the pizza. read more

So this is a great gem in Gallatin County on 127 just 3 miles off the Interstate 71, worth jaunting off to the spot. Wood fired pizzas are amazingly good, cooked perfect with a hint of wood char and top quality ingredients. Super milkshakes with the banana being extra delicious with a fresh banana blended in with lots of whipped cream. Went perfect with our pizza. The best pizza I've ever had! Just delicious. Run to go get this pie. I had the veggie minus the black olives. The family had pepperoni and meat with vegetables. Stopped in to grab a quick bite on our way back to Cincinnati. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza to share, but noticed many of the others in the stores getting sandwiches- this might be our order next time. The pizza was great. So just to be clear, I hardly ever do any reviews and/or ratings unless the food, service, or atmosphere is bad and I would want anyone I care about to spend time or money there. So for this review to be here, you know it has to be good, if you know me. That being said, this has to be the best place I have eaten in a looooooong time. Since the pandemic, so many restaurants have just become a paycheck for most staff and service is mediocre at best. Most places just don't care, and charge you full price for half the quality and service. That is NOT the case here at Glencoe General Store. When you first walk in, your senses are awoken by the smell of the wood fire oven and the clean atmosphere. My bride and I had the chili cheese fries, a turkey sandwich, fried pickles, and a small pizza. OMG is was sooooo goooood. The best pizza I have had for some time, and the turkey sandwich was so fresh and so good. I can't put the goodness into words to give it the proper justice. Good bright lighting and lots of selection for food. Our pizza took a normal amount of time to be delivered and was happily delivered with a smile. Sadly, when we went up to get dessert and all ordered milkshakes, we were let down. The milkshakes had almost no thick consistency and were more like a glass of melted ice cream. On our way from Columbus, Ohio to Louisville, Kentucky, our baby started melting down in the car, and we had to pull off as quick as possible. We found this absolute gem of stop three minutes from I-71. We had floats, coffee, and a I found the perfect wooden cutting board from a local woodworker.
