We struggled to decide but we got a chocolate cake (OMG YUM) and a peanut butter pie that was huge. Super cheap desserts, too! Small little place, but the staff were overly friendly. This is 5 star all the way because it's both amazing pizza and incredible desserts! Let's talk about the pizza first. Like everyone else, I love pizza. But my taste is a little different in that I am more into thin crust and a good base sauce while others may prefer a thick crust or pan style. This place has perfect crust, it's thin and chewy and they offer four different kinds of base sauce. I prefer traditional, but at least you have options. On the dessert side, well, my friend, I won't spoil it for you. Just don't wear your socks. They'll get knocked off. I've bounced around Colorado--Redstone, Telluride, Aspen, Crested Butte, Boulder, Lake City, Ouray, Breckenridge, and more--usually after long days of hiking, and this spot really is in my top three. Amazing experience. There is a reason this place is rated so high. The ambiance was incredible. Eventhough the place is small, they make up with us being able to watch the people make the pizza. It's not like Dewey's where you watch them in while waiting, you watch them right at your table. Everyone working there are extremely nice and care so much about the place. We were even able to talk to the owner of the place, learn about the history of the place, and see him cook the pizzas as well. Me and my mom got the Cheese Romona, it was good, but needed more sauce. I told one of the workers about the lack of sauce and then she brought us some dipping sauce which made the pizza perfect. That amount of service is what makes this place special. The desserts are absolutely amazing. The strawberry cake is probably the best cake I had. The breadsticks are made with their award winning dough. The pizza is made to order and there are a ton of different pies to choose from. They have a big brick oven that really cooks well. Phenomenal! The freshly fried bacon made the wedge salad a delight. The homemade Gorgonzola dressing was great as well. For pizza, we tried a large Cheesy Ramone and added pepperoni and peppadew peppers. We also added a personal Schnabel Wobble. All the ingredients were extremely high quality. The shrimp on the Wobble was large and tender. The sauce on the Wobble took me by surprise as it is described as a spicy etouffee sauce but it cream and cheese based. We also tried the New York cheesecake and yep, phenomenal as well. Service was attentive, friendly, and quick. Not a single complaint to be had. This place is awesome! read more

B-Bop's continues to be a must-have every visit to Madison! Friendly service, clean and comfy dining room, unmatched brick oven crust pizza. Love that they added local wines and beer to the menu (we sampled New Madison Raspberry Wheat and Amber, they also had wines from Lanthier and Thomas Family). Desserts are still hand made in house, and we devoured a couple generously-sized cake slices. Afterwards, our youngest wanted to wash his hands but the bathroom was occupado, so Scott let him use the kitchen handwashing station! We'll keep coming back every time we're in town. read more

I've had the pizza in Madison and I can say that this place is the best. Everything on the menu comes complete with a funny name and a little story about it. I've really liked everything I've tried here but the Schnabel Wobble really tops the list. It's shrimp n grits on a pizza, dude. It's perfection from the tip to the crispy crust. A lot of the pizzas have Gouda cheese which is next level type of stuff. I've visited four times over the years (I visit Madison once or twice a year) and Scott has been there every time. Every single time this man has made the effort to come out and say hello. You just don't get that level of service anymore. Their desserts are so good and a family of four can devour one in about 3 minutes so just be sure to save some room. Try to get some of the peanut butter pie before they run out. The availability of draft beer at a pizza place is an instant upgrade, especially if it's a local brew so I was excited to see that they now have 2 New Madison Brewing offerings on tap (even if there's not an IPA). They also have some bottles and cans. I see no reason to eat pizza anywhere else in Madison. The seating at their location is a bit limited but I've never really had to wait for a table. I'm a pizza snob and I give my highest compliments to Scott and the B-Bop's squad. read more

The BEST gluten-free pizza I've had! Before finding out that I had to be gluten free, pizza was one of my favorite foods. Most places that offer gluten free use the same thin crust from a distributor and add a thin layer of toppings to make it "pretty good".
