Just moved to this area I called in an order and picked it up at the drive-through. Service was very friendly and the pizza was good. The only thing I can complain about is, I had asked for no sausage on the Jendy's classic pizza which normally does come with sausage and they accidentally put it on there. It's not the fanciest place, but the food is pretty darned good. We had a bit of everything - fried cauliflower, cheese sticks, a baked potato, boneless wings, and a pizza. We loved it all. Has a dive bar feel with well worn decor. Food had great prices and was not bad, but not especially good either. A bit more TLC to the lasagna would have made it great as what i got was cold in the middle and bland with no herbs. Yet the base of it was done excellently and the sauce was chunky. Garlic bread was dried out but bread was tasty. Lots of uncleaned tables and so so service. Just a bit more attention to details would have been appreciated. We visit Clifty Falls State Park every year after Christmas and look forward to eating at Jendy's at least twice. This year we made a third stop as we we were headed home and ordered a large deep dish cheese and a large deep dish sausage and onion. We were enjoying the deliciousness when our waitress came up with another deep dish cheese. The cook had thought the original did not look right and wanted to give us another for free. Stopped here at recommendation of the front desk staff at our nearby hotel. It is a family friendly local pizza place (with Attached ice cream shop). The deep dish pizza is fantastic. Not as thick as a Chicago style deep dish, but the fresh ingredients, flavorful sauce and crispy/ cheesy crust made for one delicious pizza! They have personal pizzas, which is nice when traveling with a picky 4 year old :) Totally recommended if you want to try a great local pizza place. read more

I'm a local and regular who has been going to Jendy's since it opened. Hanover is very lucky to have such a nice pizzeria. The pizza is very good, and the quality is very consistent. Some reviewers fault the service, but my experience is that it is always great, although they can be taxed on busy days. The ambiance is a small college-town pizzeria, and it always clean and comfortable. I really like the deep dish pizza; not exactly Chicago style, but great. read more

Perfection! Our family visits nearby Clifty Falls State Park every Christmas and spends the other 51 weeks of the year talking about Jendy's. For starters, the breadsticks are the best, a combination of soft and chewy. They come six to an order, and our family of four orders two. We always get two large deep dish pies for the main course. The hand tossed is delicious, but the deep dish is jump-up-and-slap-your-mama good! The sausage is our favorite...crumbly and lots of it. The sauce is killer. And the price? Not sure you could put one on something the whole family talks about all year long, yet the Jendy's folks do, and it is very reasonable. All in all, Jendy's is why you patronize local restaurants and wave at the chains as you pass by. read more

FYI: Never had the pizza. This is a small time pizza joint, kept alive by the locals who love it. Pizza Hut across the street didn't shut this one down. I've only had the appetizers... all great. This is easily the best pizza in Madison/Hanover. It's actually called Jendy's now and there are two locations. The Hanover location is the one I know best. I particularly like the italian sausage and peppers combo. I've just discovered the deep dish, which I recommend. We usually get some breadsticks too. Nothing amazing about Jendy's pizza, but it's well better than the alternatives. The drive-thru pickup at the Hanover location is really, really nice. read more

Our senior year of college we had a "new" golf coach. We all knew him but since our other one randomly got let go, we acquired a new one. He loved Jendy's pizza and most of us had never been so he decided to take us there to eat. We ordered family style and just got a lot of random things to share. A couple of pizzas and breadsticks. Overall impression.....meh. First of all, I rarely leave reviews and my expectations of a restaurant are pretty basic. Feed me good food, be polite, and keep it clean. Feed me good food- pizza was just ok. I'm not complaining about the quality of the pizza but the fact that I couldn't help but feel like I paid WAY too much for it. I could have easily gotten the same quality across the street at Pizza Hut for a cheaper price.....but it's pizza, we're talking just a few dollars here. Oh, the sweet "tea".....more like semi sweet water. It was clear when it came out which was my first clue. It's not like they brew it fresh every day or anything, they by it and it comes out of a multi-selection machine. Maybe it's not their fault but perhaps they should know about it? Be polite- everyone was friendly but not overly eager to interact with customers. Nothing to give a bad review for though. Keep it clean- restaurant was fairly clean, nothing really to write about here. Like I said, not a terrible experience, just meh. The food at Jendy's is our family's favorite pizza restaurant ever! The food has always been great! The deep dish pizza is by far our favorite. But there other entrees of sandwiches are good too. I love, love their breadsticks, and dessert pizza too. The Scottsburg location is just as good but they don't have all the items on the menu that the Hanover location does. And, I wasn't too pleased with their lunch buffet. Otherwise than that, I would definitely give them two thumbs up for sure! The Hanover location also has a small play area for kids. My kids, who are older teens still like to go to the window at the play area and watch the employees make the pizza and toss the pizza in the air. Even for adults, its a lot of fun! read more

My family LOVES Jendy's!!! They have THE best deep dish pizza around. We always get the bread sticks. The delivery area is small but the times are usually pretty good. The prices are comparable to similar establishments. Dining in is also a plus with this joint. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is excellent! They also have a salad bar. The pizza overall is alright nothing to write home about. Their deep dish meat pizza is quite good however and would definitely recommend that. Love Jendy's Pizza and have been a long time customer but I suggest that management send a customer in late on a weekend to see exactly how poor the service is when the teenage girls want to be doing something else. Not only did our drinks not get refilled until we went up to have them refill them for us but we were asked to pay the bill and get our refills in to go cups .... Extremely rude!
