Surprisingly there was plenty of seating for the 10 of us. The staff were nice and I ordered 8in buffalo chicken pizza, fried dill pickles & large drinks. They have fountain drinks & 2 liters drink options. They ordered the largest cheese pizza & it came with free breadsticks. We did have to wait for a decent time but they were fairly busy with people picking up call in orders. The fried dill pickles & breadsticks came out and they were hot and fresh. I loved the pickles they were crispy & seasoned & had a dipping sauce. Also did I mention it brick oven pizza style, so once our pizzas came out a few minutes later not & fresh out the oven. You can see the crisp on the bottom & crust. The buffalo chicken pizza was good not hot buffalo sauce but still packed some flavors. 8 inches wasn't a big pizza almost a personal size but still plenty and our other group devoured their cheese pizza. It the huge and delicious. They didn't have a trash can and we were told to leave our stuff for clean up. They have one small bathroom but it was well stocked & clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the location size, service and food. Don't sleep on local places you never know until you try it.

The only thing I can complain about is, I had asked for no sausage on the Jendy's classic pizza which normally does come with sausage and they accidentally put it on there. They said they were pizza (made sense since it was NYE) and I waited to pick it up. Now, I'm born and raised in the Bx, NY. Home of the best pizza in the world. The pizza here at Palermo's is good. Too thick for me; but they have a nice flavor profile in the sauce. I'm sure the pie is even better fresh out of the oven. The cheese lovers calzone tasted even better. My only issue with that, was the crust was too thin. They mixed the two up. Haha. They could have put two containers of sauce in the box with the calzone so if you order it to take home ask for the extra sauce. I look forward to going back and dining in. Eating the pie fresh out of the oven and some of their other dishes as well. Definitely recommend.

Fortunately, our grandson had a soccer game in LaGrange and that put us right where we needed to be. First impression? Waite staff was wearing white shirts and black slacks. This ain't Fazoli's. Our waiter, Robert, took our drink order and brought us freshly backed cheese bread served with a side of marinara. The bread was excellent (almost too good) and the marinara was full flavored without the heavy sweetness so many sauces rely on. My wife ordered cheese ravioli and I went with an Italian meatball calzone. Both dishes were beautifully plated. The Stromboli was almost intimidating, so I immediately split it in two knowing half was heading home. My wife couldn't finish her serving of ravioli. The ravioli was well filled and the sauce was outstanding. My Stromboli was heavy on the melted cheese to the point it was difficult to find the meatballs. But what really stood out, aside from flavor and sauce (on the side) was the dough. Light, just the right amount of crisp without reminding you of a burnt pizza crust. Service was outstanding. Robert was attentive without being obtrusive. Pricing is reasonable, with a nice mix of prices for any budget. Palermo's is upscale dining at modest prices and well worth a visit.

Unfortunately, my high praise wasn't deserved. We ordered a side salad and a large Farmers Garden Pizza. We added ground beef and jalapeño. The side salad was a lettuce mix with croutons, diced tomatoes, and cheese. Nothing fancy, but the veggies were cold and crisp. Our Farmers Garden Pizza was ordered with a thin crust. It came out quickly, but certainly not very hot. It was loaded with veggies and sauce, but skimped on cheese. Just as well, because the pie wasn't served hot enough to melt it. Service was good...our server, Miranda, stopped by the table several times to check on us. On the other hand, the greeter lacked any welcoming warmth. Maybe a hand tossed would have been a better choice.
