After an afternoon of jeeping around Southern Indiana, we made a stop at Speakeasy Pizza. While the beer selection was a little disappointing, the pizza more than made up for it. The wood fired pizza was cooked to perfection, and the breadsticks were outstanding. Whatever you do, don't skip the garlic butter . If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. We'll definitely be back soon to try some of their sweet pizzas! They sound divine! read more

Very good Pizza and excellent atmosphere. Yeah it's a little small but I like small. I highly recommend.

Ok, I'm a New Jersey pizza guy. No apologies. So when I was invited to a get together here for pizza, I was, to be frank, skeptical. The locals raved about the sauce, mozzarella and, more important, the crust. We shall see. I ordered a traditional Margherita style personal pan pizza ... sauce, basil, discs of fresh cheese. My 8 inch pizza arrived hot and it smelled wonderful. Two big pluses. The key, however, is always the taste and the "tooth" of the crust. I dug in and there were two more big pluses. I ate it happily and was tempted to order a second! However, I ordered dessert instead...a New York style cheese cake. Yummy too. Miles from the garden state, I found a pizza that can hold its head in any crowd. A winner in Indiana ... read more

Ok so......... I'll start by saying that Speakeasy is over a 2 hour drive from my home..... and there are few, wait......, zero, zero pizza places that I would drive to that are more than 30 minutes away from my home. Speakeasy is different! And I do drive more than 2 hours to get a slice! Not only is the pizza the best ever..... but the owners and staff are some of the greatest folks I've ever met. Not an exaggeration here folks. You come to speakeasy and you are not a customer...... you are family! If you are lucky...... you might even end up as a "KnuckleHead"! 5 thumbs up! read more

Serving up tasty wood fired pizza perfection in a quaint Orleans building. Individual pizza comes with choice of sauce, three toppings. There are savory options and fun sweet pizza options. The toppings are fresh, the crust is crispy and toasty. Pizza gets placed on a giant sauce can opposed to the regulal metal table racks. They even have alcohol options or soda pop options. Worthy of frequent visits, the staff is extra friendly and pizza is served up quick. read more

My spouse and I came down to celebrate my birthday with my sister and her spouse. We have never been to this quaint town before. The restaurant itself is on the town square. The staff themselves were masked and gloved. social distancing was not possible. They have high tables and low tables. The pizza oven is a real wood burning oven. The pizzas and calzones are delicious The cheesecake is real cheesecake. if you are looking for a place to eat in Orleans they are worth it. read more

Food was better than average , bread sticks were very hot. Bar cheese not a great choice should've gone with garlic butter.

Speakeasy Pizza. Hmm. Where to start? Let's begin by outward appearance. Speakeasy Pizza is located in Historic Downtown Orleans, Indiana, on the historic Congress Square. From the outside it is very welcoming. Upon entering we found the establishment pretty busy. Only 1 table available for dine in. We took a seat. It took about 3 minutes to be greeted and explained that orders are taken at the counter. Pay and tip is taken at time of order instead of upon completion of your meal. Brother ordered a build your own pizza. When it was served, the toppings all fell off the top. Not a good start, but things happen. Cheese sticks were served with what I can only guess is a poor attempt at Marinara sauce. BLAND, no seasoning I ordered my breads ticks with Beer cheese. Much Better! I ordered the Fat Tony pizza and was pleased with the presentation. Knowing that the toppings have a tendency to fall off, I was careful to avoid the same demise as my brother.Woodfired pizza takes talent to pull off successfully. I think there is something missing. The toppings overall were good. Brother disagrees. Service was Excellent and courteous. I would eat here again. Brother, probably not. Welcome to our little community! read more

Pizza anyway you like it. Cool spot in a little southern Indiana town. Friends drug me here from Bloomington and I was glad they did. Try the butter and cinnamon sugar pizza. The place is tiny and people pack in which adds to the atmosphere. Friendly people who are very welcoming read more

This was my second attempt at Speakeasy but my first review. This is little place on the square of Orleans, Indiana. They use a wood fired over to bake the pizza which is unique to the area. We arrived at opening time, 11am. Parking on the square is usually not a problem. On Saturdays they do hold a vendor market and part is blocked off. Seating inside is limited as it is small. They do have a few tables outside for additional seating. Bonnie and Clyde was the order of the day. A cheese, pepperoni, and sausage pizza. If you like toppings then this is a great place. Lots and lots of cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. Large chunks of sausage and lots of cheese piled on top. Did I mention the cheese? The pizza is good...thin crust (which I'm not really a fan of) but the toppings make up for it. Their breadsticks are great! Crunchy exterior with a chewy inside. Seasoned properly with garlic and butter. All in all this is a good place to eat. Fine food, lots of toppings, and good flavors. Only draw back is it can be pricey so be sure to sure to do the math before ordering. And there could stand to be a bit more red sauce on the pizza. Still, very worth the stop in at Speakeasy Pizza. read more

Speakeasy Pizza - Decor at Speakeasy. - Pizza Near Me - Orleans, Indiana

This is a great asset for Orleans! Over the past two years, we have come-up from Nashville, to visit familly, and we have eaten here 3 times. It is a little better than Papa Jones and Pizza Hut but nothing to write home about. Perhaps from an overly hot oven, this pizza crust is raw inside; when we asked for crispy crust, 50% of the pizza was burned as black as charcoal. The cheese is disappointed and obviously comes shredde in a bag- the cheese has no stretch as shredded cheese has corn starch added to the cheese in order that the cheese does not clump. These folks obviouly have no prior pizza experience. If they monitored the oven temperature and started shredding their own cheese, easily, their quality would compare to that of Mother Bear's in Bloominton. So close and yet so far. read more

Update: they have cancelled the event. We are grateful they listened to the concerns of the community. Now go enjoy some pizza. Unfortunately this establishment is supporting a known predator through a local event. We've asked them privately to reconsider, but they would not respond. We do not recommend any place that enables child predators to reach a wider circle of potential victims. read more

First visit today! I've been hearing about this place for a few months, but didn't make the time until this afternoon. Quite simply, it's the pizza I've been dreaming about! 1) Quality ingredients. 2) Good, homemade sauce. I'm picky about sauce. Most places put too much on and it's often thick and bitter/sour tasting. 3) Cheese that really melts. 4) Excellent crust. 5) Friendly proprietors. The owner came over to speak to us, personally. 6) Often, in restaurants you have one or two busy people and everyone else is standing around. Even though the restaurant wasn't quite crowded (yet), there were several visible employees and every one of them was doing something. One making pizza crust, a few by the ovens, servers, cashiers, etc. Every one had a task and they were doing it! Coming back soon! read more

We were out for a drive today when we decided to stop. I live in a neighboring county and have heard good reviews, but I had never been here myself. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The best wood fired oven pizza hands down! Such a fresh taste and incredible crust. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop. read more

Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had. One of the owners, Cody, (I hope I'm spelling it right) is the nicest human!! He came and talked to us about how this place got started, his favorite dishes, etc. we had a wonderful conversation with him, and he even gave us some beer cheese on the house! And that beer cheese is TO DIE FOR. Wow! I was speechless. I've had a lot of different pizzas in my life and this one is by FAR the best!! Fast, delicious, and great environment!! read more

The atmosphere is neat. They have events every so often but the interior is kinda small

I've given this place a few chances. The first time we went it was amazing.... Perfectly cooked pizza and great service. The following 3 times I have been here the pizzas were undercooked in the middle and the sauce was flavorless. Looks like a lot of teenagers standing around in the back and on their phones. We won't be back. read more

Every once in a while you come across a restaurant that absolutely blind sides you. Speakeasy is one of those places. Wood fired pizza oven and high quality ingredients take you by surprise. Today was my first time dinning and I look forward to many more trips. My brother in law and I are always on the lookout for great pizza and stumbled across this gem today. When we walked in the lunch rush was just starting up and the staff got everyone through at an impressive speed. The quality and flavor is what you would expect from a larger city established pizza joint. What a great family business the two owners have started. It seems like the whole family has a hand in all elements of the shop. We talked to one of the owners Cody after lunch and you can see that he cares about his product and what he is putting out there. read more

Good pizza and great breadsticks. The only issue I have is it looked like the owners' family was in the dining area and they were not observing personal space. One of them knocked my purse into the floor and didn't even acknowledge it. read more

Great pizza, atmosphere and the owner was very as were all the employees we met. Good craft beer selection. A lot of outside seating.

Just...wow. I have never had this bad of food before ever. Ordered 2 calzones and they were soggy from the sauce inside and the bottom was not cooked at all. The insides were cold to the touch. The ingredients were all store bought (Tyson precooked chicken strips yuck) Turn your oven down, use a stone, and cook until internal temp is adequate. read more

Pizza was delicious! All of the flavors were just right. We got the Mobster Margherita and the Capone which is essentially a supreme and they were both great. One of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. Thinner on the bottom and a softer bubbled up type crust on the edges. We aren't from the area, but would definitely come back if we are ever this way again. read more
