We love the small cozy atmosphere in Grecco's! It's an intimate setting...and we're all about it. We've never had a problem with the service either. My wife is Italian and very particular when it comes to Italian cuisine. With that being said, she gives Grecco's a big thumbs up for no spongy weird sausage on their pizza. It's the real deal. This has to be one of the most unsuspecting little pizza joints you'll ever find. It is literally in the middle of a y in the road. There is some parking across the street. I was in the area on a little Yelp adventure and came across this little spot and decided to give it a shot. I called ahead with my order and when I got there it was hot, ready and waiting for me to take home. The inside of the Resturant has a few booths and has a real old time and homey feel. This place has been in business since 1945 and has been deemed Lawrence county's first ever pizzeria. The menu consists of both pan and hand tossed pizzas, calzones, stroms, breadsticks, and some pastas. I went with the hand tossed supreme, breadsticks and 1/2 strom just to see what it was all about. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the crust was baked just right with a little crunch and a little chew. The pizza sauce is pretty amazing also. The strom was delicious and had a ton of toppings on it as well. I would highly recommend trying this if you're in the area. Next time I'm getting the pan pizza! Pretty awesome that a pizza place can continue to stay in business for well over 70 years. I'm sure it is definitely due to the deliciousness of the food and the hometown feel. read more

Staff Mocked a Handicapped Customer: On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at about 7:15 PM my wife called Grecco's in Bedford to place a take-out order. She has difficulties with her speech due to a brain injury. She was on speaker phone so I could hear the conversation. As she was placing the order, the male staff member on the phone started to mock her speech as he was reading back the order. There was no doubt he was changing the way he spoke to mimic the way she speaks. I immediately asked him why he was mocking her voice. He denied it saying "they have old phones that don't work well". I asked for his name and he refused to provide it. I asked to speak to the manager and he attempted to change his voice and pretend to be a manager. At this point I cancelled the order and ended the call. We will never eat food from Grecco's again because if the staff is allowed to behave in such an unprofessional, juvenile, and cruel manner, I would not trust them to prepare something I am going to eat. read more

Never again! Zero stars! Please save yourself the trouble and black list this business!!!! My friend messed up and ordered from this location. She thought she had ordered at the Mitchell location but to her fault ordered from the Bedford restaurant. Anyways, there is No Parking! No parking lot and no street parking on the same side as the restaurant. Closest parking is,...across a busy street, in front of residences,...which were all full at the time. So I parked in the back of the restaurant which clearly had signage posted for delivery drivers only. There were multiple spots available 4+, absolutely empty parking lot. I thought okay, surely I am a customer of this restaurant it will be alright if I park here for 2 minutes while I run in to pick up this Pizza (that was already paid for over the phone, mind you) it should be done, quick, fast and easy. Since I went to the wrong location first. So more to the point, it took 10+ minutes to retrieve a COLD and NASTY pizza that I felt like the staff was poisoning while the rudest staff member questioned and lectured me about where I parked. AND THEN,... while running out of that disgusting place as fast as I possibly could go, the meth mouth crackheads, across the street yelled profanity at me. Saying I must be a stupid illiterate B!tch from where I parked?!?!...... This business, clearly is not dine-in, nor do they welcome carry-out, paying customers either, period! I absolutely love their pizza. It's the dough for me. A large crust but the crust is crispy, flaky, and soft at once. I wish that we could get a Grecco's in Bloomington but I understand the demanding nature of the business. HORRIBLY RUDE OWNER. I had placed an order for delivery and had a few items that were forgotten and one that was made incorrectly, I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake and ask for a refund on the items I didn't receive. Through the phone I heard someone yelling in the background, then I was told I'd have to talk to the manager. She yelled me and kept repeatedly saying the items were listed on the receipt. She couldn't understand or accept that just bc they were on the receipt, didn't mean I received them. Then she hung up on me. Grecco'se was the only pizza place I'd order from in Bedford. Disappointingly, they're now just another Bedford establishment that I'll no longer support because of poor customer service. read more

The restaurant has recently been renovated and looks great. Nice ambience, very clean and comfortable dining experience. Restrooms were also remodeled and very nice. This was my first dining experience here and love the fact that the pizza dough is homemade and hand thrown (hate machine made, frozen, and prefab pizza). I was very disappointed in the customer service shown here. I was very patient during the busy time and waited patiently and when it was my turn to order the way I was treated when I was giving my order was unnecessary. When it came time for me to order t​he manager looked at me and said what do you want I said I'm sorry was just trying to place an order she said yeah I know obviously we're just busy so just let me know what you want. I waited 15 minutes to order and I was not rude I was very patient and went up there with a smile and walked away very sad that why I was treated that way. When I asked to speak with the manager she said I am the manager. I don't know if it was just a bad day or if this happens a lot that I will not be back. However the wait staff that was nice and polite at the beginning and during our meal, turned very rude when I asked to why the check for a small veggie pizza, that I asked for the green peppers to be omitted and to add pepperoni to one side went from $12.99 and a added topping to half at .65cents ended up as the following: $8.99 for a cheese pizza $1.40 for mushrooms $1.40 for onions $1.40 for tomatoes $1.40 for black olives .65 cents for pepperoni A total of $15.24 for 6 slices A large only cost around $17.00 So apparently omitting items on a special pizza and adding items makes it become more expensive...Had the menu indicated zero modifications or had the waitress said That will cost you more by adjusting the menu pizza...I would have ordered it as is and picked off what I didnt want. By asking for an explanation of why I was charged that way without being told I would the waitress said " Thats the Rules, and if you don't like it, dont eat here!" The manager also rude, and as they took $2.00 off...also muttering about their rules and when I paid the check, with cash because they charge a dollar extra for CC Leaving me with only .43 cents for a tip..and thats what I left the server who told me not to eat there anymore... Had she communicated the rules as I was asking to make modifications I would have paid with my CC paying the dollar extra and would have left her a $10 tip on a $20 dollar check! read more

Grecco's is my mostes favoritist place to go for Meatball Sub sandwiches. The meatballs are flavorful, juicy and not overcooked. And they put plenty of meatballs on their sandwich with mozzarella. Grecco's was the first mom and pop Italian restaurant that I visited when I was a child. It has outlived all of the corporate pizza delivery places that have popped up in Bedford over the years. Grecco's has survived for so long due to the incredible food that is served here. If your a true Italian food snob then don't go here, because your going to miss the point of Grecco's. Grecco's brings a style of Italian to the southern Indiana that was vacant until the corporate chains arrived. Visited at 8pm Friday night. Two other customers in restaurant. Ordered breadsticks, chicken wing appetizer and a cheese pizza, Breadsticks arrived almost immediately and were stale - definitely not made to order. We chose garlic butter and cheese dipping sauces. Chicken wings were spicy (waitress told us "if you like spicy you won't like these", but they were very spicy and had an unappetizing consistency). Next came the pizza, which was very good especially after the other food. After complaining to the waitress that the wings were not good, we were told that they could not be discounted and we would pay full price after being told the wings weren't spicy. I understand tastes vary, but charging full price for food customers don't like is an odd policy. One star for good pizza. Zero stars for everything else. read more

I've had Bazbeaux in Indianapolis, I've had Gino's in Chicago...but this is my favorite pizza of all time. I grew up in the area and feel fortunate to, simply because of Grecco's. It's the oldest restaurant in Lawrence County and their food is the root of their long-lasting success. From the breadsticks to the pizza to the strombolis, the whole menu is fantastic. I have been several times with my kids and the staff has always been friendly. They don't have restrooms and getting there can be a chore with the traffic but I highly recommend. read more

Well to start things off ...just so you know ahead of time there is no public restroom. They serve Pepsi products. I have only had one pizza and I probably won't get another one. As a former "pie" maker I don't like when all the ingredients are in the middle and the sauce hardly comes close to edge ... and that's the way it was and it wasn't cheap either. I love supreme sandwich. It is usually nicely packed but again the ends usually don't get toppings...I asked for extra pickle for my full size sandwich because last time I got one tiny pickle slice for each 1/4. And much to my surprise came a container of pickle and $2 added to my bill. Well so much for extra pickles. Finally let's just say it's not the cleanest restaurant I have ever been to so that makes wonder what the kitchen looks like. It looks like a very cool place from the outside tho! read more

This place is GREAT for pizza. LOVE the sausage & pep in the BIG boy size. Can feed the whole family on that and still have some left over for lunch at work the next day. Like someone else said their Stromboli's are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Nobody else around makes them with the crumbly meat like they do. All others have the pellet type and just aren't as good. I typically get the standard one but they have a supreme one that has a REALLY good flavor and variety of toppings that will satisfy you. Has a really cool atmosphere of kinda like a high school, James Dean bowling alley all rolled up into one feel. Hard to describe but it's very cozy & inviting. Strange by way of seating in that there are two rows in the shape of a V but there's PLENTY of seating if you were to go in a group.
