The parking lot was full, but still had plenty of seating. We were greeted immediately. Very friendly service. Very surprised how quickly the food arrived. We ordered the garlic cheese bread and 18" traditional pepperoni pizza, so yummy. We couldn't finish it, we took it back to the hotel with us. From outside just another joint, but when you step in welcome to the locals favorite. Place was busy, but not too noisy. The service friendly and welcoming. And smelled like good ol' pizza! Made to order, specialty or just good pepperoni. Mine was the all meat, add cheese add jalapeños and add .... Yup pineapple. And it arrives. Food porn!!! And so starts my assault on hunger! I am from Northwest Indiana, so the concept was a little different to me. You walk up to the counter and place your order and then go sit down and they bring it out to you. Typically I'm used to a waitress but I'm fine with whatever. The pepperoni cheese sticks were pretty tasty dipped in marinara. The sauce was sweet, but not too sweet. we got a pizza and I had it on thin cracker crust which was pretty tasty. I just wish I would've gotten a little bit bigger of a pizza but they only went up to 14 inches. Maybe I should've had a small as well? Anyway, I didn't leave too extremely full, so maybe it's good that we didn't have more to eat. Place was pretty empty when I went there the pizza is just OK, but it was filling for the night. This was a unassuming spot from the outside, but upon entering, you can tell it is a local's favorite spot. This place was packed! It's the kind of place where you order at the front then grab a spot and wait in full anticipation of the delights to soon arrive whilst engaging in the indulgent aromatherapy of pies being made in the kitchen. It has a nice clean and well loved environment with marble tables and dark wood benches, big open windows, and beautiful scenery around. There is a large parking lot that the trolley driver can pull into, or if you are driving yourself, is easy to navigate. The pizza was really good and my husband loved his as well. We both are a 10" each. They weren't AMAZING, but they were really enjoyable and up to expectations, so I'm certain you will enjoy this spot...if you can find a table! read more

The food was very good. We had pizza and a Stromboli with a salad. The salad was cold and fresh and very refreshing. Our family loves this restaurant, especially the sweeter sauce. From the buffet, to the breadsticks, salad bar, pizzas, and pasta dishes - we love the French Lick Chicagos. The employees are wonderful and always courteous. I wish they would bring back the meat spaghetti sauce though (now only offer plain sauce with meatballs). We will be back!! read more

OK, it's not deep dish Chicago pizza but it was filling and reasonably priced. We also got a small tossed salad with it for$3.50 which was quite large. They have a salad bar for $6 but there's not much on it to be honest. Trust me the tossed salad will be enough. Service was very good and the folks there were very friendly. The total cost was less than $25 which included a couple of diet sodas. That's a bargain. Do add a tip for good service. They certainly deserved it. read more

This pizza was awesome. There are slim pickings in the area, but this was definitely worth it. We got a deep dish style pizza. It was so good, we are going to eat pizza again today. The wings were good, but I recommend cooking them a little longer. Other than that, the staff was nice and attentive. If you visit French Lick, be sure to stop at this restaurant to eat. Visited here for the first time about 8:00 PM on a Friday night. It was still pretty busy. Me: Salad bar (great) and baked ziti with meat sauce (average). I wanted the lasagna but they were out of it. Party #2: Sausage and pepperoni pizza on a traditional crust (excellent). Party #3: Salad bar (rated great) and a half order of the garlic cheese bread listed under the appetizers (rated great). Party #4: Salad bar (no rating) and a steak hoagie (rated really good). Positives: variety of choices on the menu Negatives: we all got up to go to the Salad bar and while we were gone our table was completely cleared (like post meal), the server was not very pleasant for being in her role, our food was all brought out at different times (with the pizza having a more than 5 min delay and was last), our server wasn't overly attentive, and I had to go to the register to ask for a box and our checks (granted they were still fairly busy). I would probably try another restaurant in the area before I would visit here again. I liked the salad bar the best. read more

I visited Chicago's in December when French Lick is full of visitors at the hotels and for the Polar Express. We opted out of overpriced hotel food and happily settled into a booth at Chicago's in a Friday night. The place was packed! Servers were genuinely friendly and moved things along so even though they were very busy, we were seated, received drinks, apps, and food, pretty quickly. Between the friendly, local vibe and the prices, this is a straight up win. Six of us shared appetizers, three pies and everyone had a couple beers and it came to $30 for each couple, including tip. We would've paid almost double at our hotel and the same food would have been half as good. If you are in French Lick, give this small Indiana chain a try. We were glad we did! read more

They were in the middle of a busy shift of family's trying to shuffle in and get some grub before heading out to the Christmas train ride. The servers were all very nice and prompt offering refills galore! The restaurant had a mom and pop feel with some local memorabilia hanging on the walls.. Though they were quite busy the place was fairly clean. We ordered the ham and pineapple on thin crust. It came out piping hot with oozing cheese. The crust was super thin and crunchy and the sauce had a mild sweetness to it. Definitely not the best pizza I've ever had but it was worth the money and didn't disappoint! A good pizza buffet if you want a quick, cheap lunch. Iceberg mix with tons of salad toppings. A few cold pasta salads. On the hot size, a mix of at least 4 different pizzas at a time. The breadsticks are unseasoned, but soft and chewy. They have regular cheese, nacho cheese, and marinara for dipping. They also have one cinnamon sugar pizza that is very good. When I requested a cheese pizza, they had one hot and ready within 10 minutes and even delivered a couple slices to my table. read more

The salad bar is pretty basic, but includes a couple pasta salads. There are usually at least 4 different pizzas on the buffet (cheese, pepperoni, sausage, combination, vegetarian, ham & pineapple, cheeseburger, etc.) There are also breadsticks with dipping sauces (nacho cheese and marinara). To finish it off, there's a dessert pizza. The decor is pretty common for the area - meaning there's a lot of Larry Bird memorabilia hanging up. read more
