Good food at a fair price. Service was quick and food came out in a reasonable time. The restaurant has that small town midwestern feel.

Pasta is worth what you pay for it not spectacular. I enjoyed the garlic toast. They bet their Pepsi products but saved by big red like so many Indiana. Restaurants are Alfredo sauce tasted about up to Ragu level. The chicken only cost a dollar to add and taste canned not much seasoning, but it was soft, decent meat and there was plenty of it for a dollar Lasagna wasn't quite as big as she was thought and she said the sauce was a little bit sweet, but yeah again for the price like eight dollars it's reasonable. Didn't have to wait too long for a refill. I would say it's pretty good for Salem choices are somewhat limited around here. read more

They have the best lasagna!! I love their pizza. The "big Mamma pizza" is huge! The sauce they use is a sweeter sauce. They have a salad bar. I do wish they would bring back their homemade bacon vinaigrette style dressing (they use to have it on the salad bar) read more

Very reasonable prices. The menu has a bit of variety with some interesting pizza options. Pizza crust was bread like, unlike any crust that I have had, not bad just different. Tried one with artichokes with chicken, not much off the chicken and heavy on cheese. Sauce on the ravioli was a thick meaty sauce and enjoyably seasoned, not overly sweet. Good portion size. The coffee is barely tolerable. The sweet tea is extra extra sweet. Service was miserably slow, the do a lot of take out and that must have been the issue, since restaurant was not busy. If a zero were possible, it would be zero instead of the one-star. I have dined in and had take out from here in the two weeks I have been in town for business. I have tried the baked chicken penne Alfredo, ultimate cheese sticks with bacon, and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Everything was very good even though the name had me expecting a little more flavor. I love Alfredo sauce but I've never had it as runny as theirs. I make my own from scratch so I am just use to more flavor and thickness. But it was still good. read more

I came to Salem from LA to visit my family and I was a bit weary of the restaurants here. My reservations were quickly shattered after I tried the food here. I ordered a large Pizza, Meat Ravioli and Alfredo. They have many pizza toppings and sauces at reasonable prices. The taste of the Pizza was delicious and I recommend trying their sun-dried tomato sauce as a base. The pastas were good as well and they come with a side of garlic bread. The waitress was friendly and they accept credit cards which is why I happily rate Mamma Rosa's 5 stars. read more

Good food with a down home feel. The pizza is really good but I wish that they delivered in town as sometimes they are tuff to get in the parking lot. They own the bar next door but the 5 times that we was there the noise was not out of control. And everyone was very respectful. I will be going again soon as a friend loves to go there. I haven't actually been to Mamma Rosa's since high school, but for the second year running I've met up with friends on Christmas break at the attached Bill's American Pub. They've got a great selection of craft beers and serve their Moscow mules with ginger beer in copper cups the way the Russians intended. If you're really nice, Holly will bust out the mic for an impromptu karaoke party. Beware though...she's a ruthless emcee and might make you sing "At Last". Next time, the pizza!!! read more

My favorite place for pizza in our small hometown. Local family owned restaurant since the 80's. Service good. No better pizza around.

They have started a new thing where you wait on yourself. Ok so we adjusted to that. We ordered a large with bacon and pineapple. There was about 5 crumbles of bacon on the pizza and 10 pineapples. We paid for the pizza first or we probably would have gave it back. Price is not bad I guess. 12 for a large. 1.65 per topping. read more

I would not feed the food that was on the salad bar to a dog. Blek! The salad was turning brown and everything was an artificial yellow chicken based food. The grossest looking food EVER! We did not eat anything from the bar. We did order some over priced pizza and rootbeer. Our dogs welcomed the pizza we brought home for them. read more

Great salad bar (my favorite in the area), and the pizzas are legendary. My son will drive 40 miles for a Big Mamma pizza! He couldn't wait to introduce HIS son to them. The menu is somewhat limited, but when they have a buffet, there is something for everyone. read more
