Mad Love Eat and Drink in downtown Madison, Indiana is my favorite place to eat! Amazing food, great service and wonderful surroundings with Fun and eye catching art to look at while you're there. They also have an outdoor area, which is nice to sit in when the weather is warmer. It's just a wonderful place to go with family and friends for great food wonderful drinks and lots of fun!!

Freebird

Lunch service today for our business was spot on. Our table 6 was offered inside our outside seating. As a business lunch we chose inside and were in a central room off kitchen that allowed us privacy and quiet. Fish tacos were had by most of the team they enjoyed then thoroughly. I had the Freebird. Fries were hit and miss but the bbq chicken slaw was delicious. Nice tang in the slaw. Nice salads too. Food was prompt and drinks refilled quickly. Would recommend for lunch and will be back.

Fun decor inside and out

My mom and I were visiting Madison and stopped into MAD LOVE when our original restaurant choice was too busy. It looked like this place was busy too, but we were seated right away. There were a couple different dining areas, a bar, and outdoor covered patio, so they can fit a lot more parties than it seems from the outside! The decor was really fun and the staff were friendly and helpful. We split a giant bavarian pretzel to start and then we each got the special of the day, which was a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, kettle chips, and some pasta salad. Everything hit the spot! The pretzel really was giant and came out hot! The sandwiches were good and I really loved the pasta salad. There's plenty of street parking surrounding the restaurant and I really appreciated that we could pay at our table using the QR code printed on the receipt.

OMG. I had seen posts regarding this spot. I am so glad we went. Pure accident that it was Italian night. (Hubby is Italian) I ordered the special. Ginger Mahi Mahi so good. Great flavors. Right amount of garlic in the potatoes and perfect char on the asparagus. Server was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy her job and customers. Can't wait to go back -the place is so cute. Well decorated.

What a fantastic dining experience we had at Mad Love! A restaurant that we would have never tried if our old tried and true favorite restaurants were open! The spaghetti Mason had was outstanding, my salad was to die for and we both had margaritas that were absolutely the best I've ever tasted! Staff was so friendly and nice! Will not take groups of six or more because it's actually a converted older home. Well worth trying out!

Stopped here for lunch with my brother and mother. My brother recommended this restaurant. The service was friendly and very attentive. The prices are very reasonable. The food was very good. My brother and mother loved the hamburgers. The atmosphere was interesting. Lots of art and unique style of decor. The noise level was high, but I still enjoyed my time there. I look forward to visiting this place again.

Long story short, we took shelter in their basement when the tornado hit; much appreciated! The food was amazing, one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I've had in a long time! The fries were also seasoned to perfection and crispy. My coworker had the chicken with sweet potato fries and she really enjoyed it. Service was top notch and the vibe is amazing! I will be back!

The place is a good size, volume was nice, they have both indoor and outdoor seating along with the bar, too. Our waitress was super nice, allowed us to modify our drinks a little and our meal. The only downfall was the food took forever to come. We were there for about an hour and a half from start to finish. Drinks were good, strong. The "grilled" Caesar salad was not grilled but honestly i preferred it that way. We got the chicken meal and it was phenomenal. The chicken, the potatoes, and the sauce were so good. The salmon presentation was beautiful and delicious!

I was really excited to try this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. It's very rare we…read moreget to go out (with 3 young children and a baby on the way). So I was very selective about where I made our reservation. The menu looked amazing and I was looking forward to splurging on what I hoped would be excellent steak and seafood. We arrived on time and were immediately welcomed by kind staff. I was pleased to see a birthday card on the table for my husband signed by all their staff, such a nice touch! Our waitress Page was wonderful! She was very friendly and gave thoughtful recommendations on the food selections. The bartender was also awesome and made a special mocktail for me and specialty drinks for my husband's birthday. I could tell he loved his job and went the extra mile to make us great drinks. To start I ordered the roasted pear salad and scallops with grits. Considering the restaurant was relatively empty, the food service was very slow. However, my starters were both great quality and tasty. The problems didn't start until it was time for our entrees. They didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after we were done eating our appetizers, possibly longer. It felt like forever. But we could be patient for quality food. Unfortunately, that isn't what we received. I ordered the surf and turf with filet and lobster. I took one bite of my lobster and told my husband I had never been served bad lobster until that night. It was by far the worst tasting lobster I ever had. I initially thought maybe it needed more butter and was just a problem with seasoning. However, I took one additional bite which was still awful and stopped eating it completely. My husband took a bite of his lobster and immediately spit it out complaining of a strong ammonia smell. He thought there was cleaning solution in it and told me to look up on Google what that might mean. When I did I was unpleasantly surprised to find it meant the lobster was "spoiled and unsafe to eat". I had wished I hadn't eaten any of it being 5 months pregnant! It was the worst feeling. On a side note, my asparagus was overcooked and my husband's medium rare steak was well done. The horrible smell emanating from the lobster completely ruined the rest of the meal for me. I took my filet to go, but threw it away once we were home fearing it might be contaminated. If this review was based on the service/staff bartender and general manager it would easily be 5 stars. The general manager who I believe is Emily was really kind about the bad bad experience with our entrees and did comp several items from our tab. However, I really just wanted an amazing meal and celebration for my husband. Instead I had to worry about spoiled/unsafe to eat seafood and if that might harm my baby. In a restaurant with prices like this one, you'd expect fresh seafood. It's hard to imagine the chefs could miss the horrible smell from our cooked lobster. I really hate leaving a bad review because the service and staff really were amazing. However, I've seen too many Gordon Ramsay shows where he inspects restaurant kitchens and am really strict about food safety and quality. It should be every restaurants main concern that their food is safe to eat. I would never choose to eat at a fine dining establishment which served spoiled/smelly seafood.

My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a Winter Spiced Old Fashioned. Whenever I order a cocktail that has cinnamon in it I always worry about the cinnamon overpowering the drink but this cocktail was perfectly balanced and I would order it again. Our waitress, Darri, told us what the specials were when she took our drink order. The specials of the day were a steak pasta and steak tacos. The hubby ordered the steak tacos, they came with fries. I ordered the Red Combo, half Caesar salad and a small bowl of soup which today was crab and shrimp bisque. The hubby said his tacos and fries were very good. My bisque was pretty thin but the flavor was really good. My salad was good as well. The restaurant had wood floors and brick walls making for a cozy lunch. I was told I need to come in to try the dinner and I think we will. Definitely worth a try while in Madison, Indiana.

A Must-Visit Gem in Vevay!!!…read more Roxy's is exactly the kind of place that makes a small town trip unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit -- rich colors, vintage decor, great music, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and creatively alive. Roxy herself greeted us right at the door, and that personal touch set the tone for the entire visit. The menu has great range and something for everyone. I ordered one of the 'Roxy' cocktails and a cappuccino (hey, it's called BALANCE! ) , and both were genuinely delicious -- handcrafted and thoughtfully made. For food, we went with the 'Farm-Flat' (aka Eloté) flatbread and a turkey pesto sandwich, and they were amazing. Presentation was beautiful, the flavors were on point, and the portions were so generous that we walked out with leftover flatbread (fair warning -- come hungry or plan to take some home). What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. Our food came out quickly, the staff was warm and attentive, and Roxy took the time to chat with us about local events and what makes Vevay such a special place to visit and live. What a gem of a human. You can tell this isn't just a business to her -- it's a love letter to the town. We can't wait to come back. If you're anywhere near Vevay, Roxy's is a can't-miss stop. Five stars all day.

Okay I am going to preface this review with the opinion that I do not think they should be rated…read morethis low but on this day they were. This was my first time in Roxy's and it was a Saturday at about 1:30. This particular Saturday the Kat Von D black tulip field down the street was nearing the end of its life. This town was bustling with people. I walked into Roxy's and stood in the doorway not quite knowing what to do, do you wait for someone to greet you here? Still not sure about that but finally I saw a couple seats at a high top next to the bar and I walked over and sat down. The inside of the restaurant was full and the outdoor patio was filling up as well. I was right next to the bar so the bartender was right behind me and waitresses were right behind me constantly. It still took almost 20 minutes just to get a menu, as a matter of fact we did not get a menu until the waitress came over to take our order and we said we do not have a menu. My girlfriend and I decided on a flatbread to split and some truffle fries to split. We ordered our cocktails, she had The Roxy and I ordered the Carajillo. We went to order when she brought our cocktails back and she said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, we cannot do flatbreads because the dough is not ready and we are out of the soup." So we did not want her to get away so we quickly decided on something else. My friend ordered a roast beef sandwich and I stuck with the truffle fries. The place is cute on the inside and it was clean. We received our food and the food was enjoyable, my fries were hot and crisp with a lovely lemon aioli on the side for dipping and my friend said her sandwich was good. It was a really good thing we were not in a big hurry. We will be making more trips to Vevay as very soon Kat Von D is opening a new clothing shop and we want to go to see it. We may return to give Roxy's another try when the staff is not completely overwhelmed.
