Building exterior

Great first experience at Roxy's! Ended up treating some clients to lunch with take out and sampled all their flatbread options. Roxy told me a little history about the building and all the different types of businesses that have occupied this space prior. After visiting, I think all the former business owners would give their seal of approval for what she's created inside this beautiful building in downtown Vevay. I look forward to going back and enjoying the rustic ambiance of the bar combined with the small town hospitality you'll find at Roxy's.

Roxy's in Vevay was a very nice experience. The food was absolutely fantastic the service was subpar. When we walked in it was about 6:15pm on a Saturday night. They were not completely full when we got there but after we sat down more and more people tried to come. While we waited for someone to come take our drink order we counted about 15 couples leave that couldn't find a seat and we saw a couple leave after they finished their drinks before they paid, we saw a couple leave after they paid but didn't finish their drinks and we saw a 4 top leave without ordering. Someone finally came over and took our order, my alcohol was the correct brand but wrong one I drink she did offer to o my charge us for a single as that was her mistake. Once we were at the bar service got better and another employee had gotten called in. We finally put our food order in and that took about 30 to 45 mins before we got it. But once we did it was fantastic. We order the three meat flatbread which came out piping hot and was delicious. That comes with pepperoni and bacon and prosciutto. Next we ordered the buffalo wings which were very good but we could tell had been sitting there waiting for our flatbread and our fries to get done. Last thing we ordered was a small truffle, those also came out piping hot and were to die for. Overall a very good place, lacking in service for such a small place. We would like to come back and try hopefully on a day that isn't too busy. Also the women's bathroom was a tad dark either need more lights or the current bulb just needs to be changed out.

My friend and I have been enjoying Roxy's since shortly after it opened and, easily, for 30 miles in any direction (if not more), you won't find a better watering hole. Set in a beautifully restored 19th century storefront in charming downtown Vevay, Roxy's offers handcrafted artisanal cocktails (including the non-alcoholic G&T (pictured) made with steeped juniper and flower essence), a well-rounded beer list, and a newly added menu of from-scratch pizzas and apps that are sure to please! The bar's exquisite interior is reminiscent of an 1800's high-roller saloon, but regardless of whether you're drinking top-shelf or well, the bar's proprietor and staff will feel like old friends before you know it! Stop for a drink and stay for a bite, Roxy's is always a unique and inviting experience we're eager to repeat! Enjoy!

In love with the ambiance, drinks and flatbread pizza at Roxy's. The pizza dough is homemade and so fresh. We ordered the Margherita, Three-Meat, and Frank's Ranch. All 10/10! The service is excellent and getting know more about Roxy's was a plus. The decor is dark and charming. If you're ever in the area, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in to chat with Roxy. She's welcoming, sweet and makes a strong drink. Side note: there's a small parking lot to the side if you'd rather not park curbside. Thanks again Roxy for an amazing experience!

The place is a good size, volume was nice, they have both indoor and outdoor seating along with the bar, too. Our waitress was super nice, allowed us to modify our drinks a little and our meal. The only downfall was the food took forever to come. We were there for about an hour and a half from start to finish. Drinks were good, strong. The "grilled" Caesar salad was not grilled but honestly i preferred it that way. We got the chicken meal and it was phenomenal. The chicken, the potatoes, and the sauce were so good. The salmon presentation was beautiful and delicious!

So I was very selective about where I made our reservation. The menu looked amazing and I was looking forward to splurging on what I hoped would be excellent steak and seafood. We arrived on time and were immediately welcomed by kind staff. I was pleased to see a birthday card on the table for my husband signed by all their staff, such a nice touch! Our waitress Page was wonderful! She was very friendly and gave thoughtful recommendations on the food selections. The bartender was also awesome and made a special mocktail for me and specialty drinks for my husband's birthday. I could tell he loved his job and went the extra mile to make us great drinks. To start I ordered the roasted pear salad and scallops with grits. Considering the restaurant was relatively empty, the food service was very slow. However, my starters were both great quality and tasty. The problems didn't start until it was time for our entrees. They didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after we were done eating our appetizers, possibly longer. It felt like forever. But we could be patient for quality food. Unfortunately, that isn't what we received. I ordered the surf and turf with filet and lobster. I took one bite of my lobster and told my husband I had never been served bad lobster until that night. It was by far the worst tasting lobster I ever had. I initially thought maybe it needed more butter and was just a problem with seasoning. However, I took one additional bite which was still awful and stopped eating it completely. My husband took a bite of his lobster and immediately spit it out complaining of a strong ammonia smell. He thought there was cleaning solution in it and told me to look up on Google what that might mean. When I did I was unpleasantly surprised to find it meant the lobster was "spoiled and unsafe to eat". I had wished I hadn't eaten any of it being 5 months pregnant! It was the worst feeling. On a side note, my asparagus was overcooked and my husband's medium rare steak was well done. The horrible smell emanating from the lobster completely ruined the rest of the meal for me. I took my filet to go, but threw it away once we were home fearing it might be contaminated. If this review was based on the service/staff bartender and general manager it would easily be 5 stars. The general manager who I believe is Emily was really kind about the bad bad experience with our entrees and did comp several items from our tab. However, I really just wanted an amazing meal and celebration for my husband. Instead I had to worry about spoiled/unsafe to eat seafood and if that might harm my baby. In a restaurant with prices like this one, you'd expect fresh seafood. It's hard to imagine the chefs could miss the horrible smell from our cooked lobster. I really hate leaving a bad review because the service and staff really were amazing. However, I've seen too many Gordon Ramsay shows where he inspects restaurant kitchens and am really strict about food safety and quality. It should be every restaurants main concern that their food is safe to eat. I would never choose to eat at a fine dining establishment which served spoiled/smelly seafood.

You can stop by whenever you feel the need to taste some wine, tequila or bourbon Hannah, the manger, is so sweet. She reminds me of Joanna Gaines. She's one of those people you feel like you know and want to be around. Just a beauty inside and out. She was the only one there and had a few guests to help and she said she was having a bad day but you'd never know. She made my bf and I feel more than welcome and took care of us. We got a small charcuterie with nuts, meats and cheeses and added olives. The charcuterie was not what I was expecting from a winery. It was more of an adult lunchable than charcuterie. The cheese was like that precut Cracker Barrel cheese found in the store. I would have like to have had some freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella. Something that would pair well with the wines. I'm not a fan of Swiss. Love Colby jack and cheddar but those don't really go with the wines I had. I got a flight of white wines that are numbered in my 2nd picture. They were all pretty good but 1 & 4 were my favorites. I was able to taste a new wine slush they're offering. I chose the red wine slush over the white moscato one. I fell in love with it. I tried to get one to go but was unable to due to them not having approved to go containers for them My boyfriend got a flight of premium bourbon which he enjoyed. There are lots of cosy places inside and out to sit and sip your favorite drink. We did leave with a bottle of the # 4 wine I liked and garlic sausage though. I will definitely return for a slush!!
