Been here a couple times visiting my girlfriends fam. Funny story how I found this place. When I can't find a good coffee shop I'll look for the closest Coffee Bean. Well that's what I tried. We were out and I wanted some coffee. I searched for Coffee Bean and our navi did the rest. We all laughed when we realised what had happened. Very clever of you...Bean Coffee Roasters. :) So thanks to Coffee Bean we found this place. Their coffee: Tastes pretty good. No bitter taste. Nothing else really matters. If you need to adjust anything, they have the typical coffee shop station that has lids, stoppers, napkins, honey, sugar... Service: Every time I've been here everyone's been nice and helpful. First time I was there the cashier gave me a few coffees to sample. I'd say the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they don't have any organic milk options. While doing some Christmas shopping and waiting in your typical horrid lines a lady in front of me overheard my conversation about my love for coffee and my loathing of chains like Starbucks who give coffee a bad name and customer service an even worse name. She immediately turned around and said "bean roasters off Ynez.." she didn't have to say much more.. as an avid small business supporter and someone who do anything short of sell their soul for a good latte I was adding it to me to do list.. fast forward a week I made the trek from corona to Temecula to try what she described as the BEST VANILLA ICED LATTE.. and boy was she right... hands down the best vanilla latte I've ever had and I've had quite a few... I really wanted to like this place, I really did. We're not from the area, in fact my husband and I barely visit Temecula, and only come down to visit my brother and his family. The morning that my husband and I tried this place, I waited in the car with our kids as we were on the way to San Diego. He ordered a vanilla latte, and he ordered me an iced vanilla latte. Upon my first sip, I was immediately in love! I the taste was sweet but not too sweet and the coffee used tasted real good. My husband also confirmed that he loved his coffee as well. He also said the atmosphere of the area was really nice as well. So why the 3 stars right? Well, my husband purchased a 1/2 lb of Ethiopian beans, and today as I was getting ready our morning coffee, I noticed that a majority of the beans were burnt. I thought, well maybe I can pick out the burnt beans and still have a decent cup. I was wrong, the beans were horrible! And I really mean horrible. I tried brewing our coffee 5 different times and finally gave up. It really bothered me to throw away 1/2 lb of beans because we paid $10 for it, but unfortunately, it just didn't work out. It was a waste of time and a waste of money. We live in the Bay Area, so I was really upset that we came home to what was essentially the worst beans I've ever purchased before. I found it amazing that the coffee taste was so horrible given the fact that they advertise outside their store that they roast daily. I was super excited to try the beans when we got home, just to be let down. I really really wanted to like you guys, but I was terribly upset with the end result. While the coffees that were made for as at the store were great, their beans were not. read more

This was my first time trying and being at this coffee place. I got their Blended carmel drink. Their Strawberry smoothie are really good full of flavor. The staff are very friendly and sweet. This place makes a great hot spice chai latte. Reasons for my 3 stars is half of half . Half is quality which is good and half which is service which is also good but it is hit or miss on certain days. I subscribed to there rewards programme and recieve texts for rewards. I received a text for a free medium drip coffee. When I arrive the gentleman informed me it was an error and he doesn't know why the text says that and referred to there tablet next to the register stating it is free only with a pastry purchase. Seemed pretty short with me but I continued to patron the place because of there quality spice chai latte. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth even if it is an error and you don't know why your text system is not in sync with what is on your tablet in store I feel you should at the least honor the rewards in the text that was received. read more

I've been a customer since moving to Temecula about 3 years ago! This is my go to place for coffee! I love that they roast all their coffee in house, and you can see the roaster going from where you order. The decor is beautiful and the patio is a nice outside seating area. The baristas are very friendly and the coffee is outstanding. I usually order a coldbrew or their iced vanilla latte. They have a lot of different milk options for non-dairy and an extensive menu offering. I have yet to try their bakery, but I love seeing that they've started to carry a lot more Gluten Free options! I'm lactose intolerant, so again it's nice to have a coffee shop offer a lot of different milk options for non-dairy people. I've seen some reviews about people being upset over not knowing that their powders have dairy in them, and to me it's a little ridiculous that they've been given poor reviews due to people's negligence of their own allergies. Having been a barista in my past, I know of a lot of people who chose to drink alternative milks not because they have to, but because they like the taste and texture of alternative milks compared to dairy milks. It's not the barista or any workers responsibility to check your allergy, unless they are made aware of it. I've also asked about the dairy in their powders, due to my allergy (that being my responsibility and NOT the barista's (: ), and the powders don't have enough dairy to negatively effect my allergy (I know some people are worse off than others). I also love that they sell their freshly roasted beans, I always give those as gifts to all my coffee loving friends! They also have an online store where you can place an order and have it shipped, dropped off or ready for pick up at the location. They also sell their vanilla powder online (for all my vanilla latte peeps!). All in all, this place is beautiful, the coffee is excellent and the service is outstanding. As an avid coffee connoisseur I've seen my fair share of coffee places and this is by far one of my favorites. It's got ample seating, a industrial old school vibe with beautiful mirrors and tiled front wall. The decor isn't the only thing they nailed, the coffee is amazing. The Tahitian vanilla blended iced drink, along with the fall caramel apple espresso were truly amazing. Date night stop for us, had our baby in tow. Friendly, helpful staff--loved the drink Brett recommended. Brett was very knowledgeable about beans and espresso roasts, we ended up buying a bag of fresh beans to use at home. The roast is light and enjoyable, ate a bean out of bag, not butter or acrid at all, smooth and enjoyable. I had the Maple brown sugar esporesso with Oat milk--yes you read that right, OATmilk. The Oat milk really brought out the flavors and I would order it again in a heart beat as a wonderful milk alternative. Even my cow milk loving husband said the drink was enjoyable as a dairy free alternative. Hubs had a Mocha and really enjoyed it. Atmosphere is very relaxed, lots of warm lighting and comfy places to relax and study, work or just visit and hang. Bean is our new go to coffee shop, excited to share it with friends. read more

Update: still no return call from management. Review remains 0 Poor customer service after a terrible $7+ drink experience: I ordered a pina colada smoothie a couple weeks ago. It was awful however I knew something was wrong with it because I've had them before. By the time I tasted it, I was long gone and wasn't about to drive back for a replacement. I tried to call and notify them however you can't actually get through to someone there. Lesson learned. Try your drink before you leave. Granted this was a few weeks ago, however I go in today not recalling I couldn't talk to a human (leave message only) and asked for a remake. The tall guy there informed me they don't have a phone and questioned how did I tell someone. I'd forgotten that I wasn't able to speak to a human. Excuse me. Not really high on my priority list to remember things like that and I was shooting from the hip as I just walked in without much thought other than they should remake the crappy drink I paid over $7.00 for (including a nice tip). He then went on to say he "found it hard to believe that a drink tasted bad". Ok. Enough. At this point I'm realizing I will not be back. He's challenging me, questioning me. I did nothing wrong, they made an awful drink and the least they can do is HAPPILY remake it without making comments and challenging me. Thoroughly embarrassing experience to be challenged at the register. He's a regular worker there. I've encountered him on several occasions before and he never looks happy to be there so why am I surprised that he'd say the things he said. Never really loved this place anyways. read more

This was my second time at this coffee shop. The first time I got an iced mocha and it was quite possibly the BEST iced mocha I've ever had in my life. So I went back today and got the same drink and it wasn't even drinkable. I would have asked them to remake it, but I ordered it "to go" and hustled out to make my next appointment in time. I was a HUGE fan of this place in the beginning and recommended all my friends to go there until one day I asked them to go light on the ice~ I received my iced vanilla latte 3/4 of the way full!! I was so surprised that I asked them to fill it up for me with more drink and the manager said they could not do that because it messes up the taste ratio of the drink and proceeds to tell me he could add more ice to it if I wish. I was extremely put off with the response and therefore will not be back anytime soon. If I want light ice and am paying $5 for a drink I would assume that I would receive what I want, especially from a new business. read more

Mexican Mocha with almond milk is super good but can also be very sweet, so when I want something sweet I get that! :) The vanilla chai latte with almond milk is always a good choice as well! Their gluten free brownies and super moist and delicious. Giving 4 stars just cuz their a bit pricey, in my opinion. This place is really nice- the shop itself is really spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, and it's tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is really great to study, catch up with friends, or do some reading. The coffee itself is good, but not amazing. The times I've been there I've ordered the drip (black/ethiopian), hot caramel latte, a non flavored iced latte, a hot dirty chai latte, and an iced vanilla latte. It's pretty comparable to Starbucks, I will say that the chai latte was way too sweet and I could definitely taste the powder they used to make it. Compared to other specialty coffee shops this place is meh. They also have a large variety of pastries. I tried the macarons and they were pretty good, just really expensive. Also, the wait is always so long. I've waited as long as 15 minutes in line, which is kinda long if you're just stopping in before work. Overall, this place is a great place to come together and have a cup of coffee/tea because it's got a good vibe. However, the coffee is a little overpriced for the quality. read more

The arrogance of the "baristas" is appalling. They are overpriced and have an extremely limited menu (no light roast coffee or even 2% milk)...and way more expensive than SBUX. When I asked for 2% milk, I was told, "our customers prefer whole milk". Really? Dude- if you cannot afford to stock simple gallon of 2% milk that cost about $2, then reconsider your go to market strategy. I have tried this place 3 times- all bad experiences. Clearly, the workers are all friends because of their comfort of being arrogant and smirks of reveling in that arrogance. Too bad...cute restaurant but out door seating area leaves you breathing car fumes on Ynez. Try Ryan Bros down the road...way better....that, and we need a Peet's! read more
