Always my go to coffee spot for some midday studying. It's very spacious and there are generally seats available. Also, being on campus means there's usually a lot of other people working on their laptops as well so there's a nice study atmosphere. They also have a lot of outlets where you can charge your electronics. It does get quite noisy sometimes but the chatter is kind of nice. There's a seating limit of 2 hours which is a great reminder for me to take a break from whatever I'm working on. I usually order the latte and it's very consistent and well-made. The baristas are very nice and the service is fairly quick. It is a little more expensive than other cafes on campus and also more expensive than other Bean Around the World cafes around Vancouver, but it's probably to compensate for its large pretty space right on campus, especially being one the very few actual cafes towards the south side. Overall a very convenient stop for coffee and to get some work done between classes~

Very good pizza and sandwiches, as well as freezing cold beer glasses. Relatively expensive though

Had a matcha latte and a brownie. Really cool choices for beverages. A very cute area to sit and work.

It seems to be a family-run business and they offer an eclectic assortment of food and drink: the standard coffee shop fare of sandwiches, baked goods, and coffee/tea, plus milkshakes, smoothies, tteok bokki, and some interesting desserts to round it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of everything I ordered! I got the Pesto Melt Bagel, Tiramisu, and an Apple Cider. The bagel was grilled lightly (any less would have been not enough, but I liked the way they did it, which gave it a little crispness and warmth without loosing the fresh texture), the tomatoes were fresh, and it wasn't too oily, which is sometimes a problem for me on this type of sandwich. The tiramisu was nice and a little bit different from the usual since it was more like a trifle or parfait than a cake slice. I liked the custardy mascarpone layers and the syrupy espresso sauce at the bottom. Finally, the apple cider was really good. It came with a piece of dried apple and lemon slice and had a spicy flavour, and was sweetened tastefully. The prices are pretty fair (cheaper than other UBC coffee shops). The shop itself is really cozy - it feels like walking into a home - they have lots of couches in addition to regular tables and chairs, and there's also seating upstairs which I didn't check out. The staff also seem to be very nice. I do think it would be nice if they had more vegetarian sandwiches, but otherwise I'm really happy to have finally tried this place, and definitely will be back again.

I pay the tip, and they still ask me to take the tray by myself. I even walk out from the store,…read moreand they ask me to come back and return the tray from table to the counter.

Line up was a bit awkward.. you're kind of forced to stand outside if it's more than 3 people, and then when you're in you have a short time to look at the menu or food case. Got the Jeremy sandwich which was full of flavour and my husband got the ham egg breakfast sandwich. Both great! Our drinks were pleasant. We also bought the churro croissants which were unique and pretty good! Lots of seating outdoors, not too much indoors. Staff friendly. Quick interaction.

Where have I been all this time????? And I am a devoted "dog mom", so this place is totally right down my alley! It's tucked away, though, and not so easy to find if you've never been here before, but it's SO worth the time to find it and visit! Hands down, this is the most dog-friendly place I think I've ever been to. Photos of patrons' dogs plaster the walls. Dog notices are posted everywhere. I believe this cafe was named for the owner's Great Dane. People bring their dogs here. It's as dog-friendly as they come. And I love that. The coffee and pastries are fantastic. I hear the lunch sandwiches are good, too. My friend has been here often and says it's consistently good. My biggest issue with this place is the lack of seating. In the summer, sure, you can sit outside on the various concrete half-walls and benches, and there's a large outdoor patio area with a lot of tables and chairs, but in the winter, or on rainy days, there are very few tables and seats here. FYI.

We didn't stick around as we were on our way to the Pacific Spirit Regional Park trails. However, the setting of the café was enchanting enough for me to come back with my husband two days later for Sunday breakfast. We ordered our americanos, breakfast croissant, and breakfast sandwich and found a table in the courtyard outside the chalet-looking building of the café. There is small park in the courtyard along with about half a dozen tables. It was still rather early on a Sunday morning before 0930. It was quiet but neighbours were starting to emerge for their morning coffees, yoga stretches and dog walks. The americanos were rich. Good sign before we tasted our coffee: they were not served in mugs, foamy, and dark. Our croissant and English muffin sandwiches were pressed. My croissant had cheese and turkey slices with an addictive spicy jam. The English muffin halves of his egg and ham sandwiches were so pressed that they did not resemble English muffins. However, he said it was so good with its texture, greasiness and flavours. I think I'm going to get that next time.
