Nice selection on Menswear and shoes. The prices are decent on good quality clothing. Nice selection of housewares. The staff are friendly and helpful. One staff member asked if I was signed up for their rewards program and helped me to get signed up in no time. This is a great option if you haven't done so. My better half was there with the intention of spending $10 from her rewards program. She then found out that she had another $5 to spend from past rewards. This Bealls was a brightly lit, very clean, store. Employees I met were friendly and each one welcomed me in their store and then asked if I needed assistance. As I roamed the men's section one thing became very clear to me ... either Bealls doesn't cater to oversized men or they order small quantities of XL/XXL items and they get sold very quickly leaving nothing but S/M/L items. Lots of ocean themed kitchen stuff and towels, etc. almost bought a few things to take back to MD but the suitcases were already at 50lbs when we came to FL. Maybe, someday, Bealls will open a store in MD, Baltimore area. read more

This is one of the few department stores in the area, and they have an ample supply of just about anything you need. Popular sizes seem to sell out quickly, so you need to make frequent stops for new merchandise. They have started using self serve registers, which I find easy to use, but saw many people struggling. read more

I went in there to get some shoes. They had something that I liked for $85, but they were on sale for $59. I also had $10 in Beals Cash thereby reducing the price to $49. You could get the same shoes at Amazon for $49. The exact same brand and model and size. And that's what this place does. They have outrageous prices, and then they have sales, and you might think you're getting a good deal, but like my shoes, the sale plus the Beals Cash reduced it to the price I could get somewhere else. Self checkout was a mess. Manager that was on staff 12/31/22 afternoon was very rude. The self checkout is hard to use and employees were visibly irritated when they were called over to help you. Cash payments need to have an associate process so either way you need somebody to come over to help. Store was incredibly clean and organized but the checkout experience was enough to not want to shop here. read more

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all bealls supposed to be really cheap and marked down ? This store is the only one I've ever been to that you walk in feel like you're in a Macy's, Dillard's, or JC penny and not in the best way, considering that if I'm walking into bealls to shop it is to shop at a bargain. Well this is not the place for that. They have good brands like Roxy, and O'Neil, they're "marked down" but def not cheap. The cheapest thing I found was around $24 dollars, and it was on clearance. If you find something you like and you are 50 or over they have 15% every Tuesday. I went in Monday and asked about that and they said they will hold items for 3 days so you can go back and get your discount as long as within 3 days. I almost spent $90 and tomorrow will be much less. Great deal as many places only honor it the day Advertised. They have a pretty good selection and if you have the patience to sorry through their clearance racks you can usually find a great buy plus many days you will see an additional 10-15% off clearance making some items almost 90% discounted. Store is clean and organized and staff ate friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and I side store is not cluttered or crowded in the aisles so makes shopping easy. read more

I think this store is great, but sometimes forget about it. Not sure why. Yes I know why. I tend to go to Kohl's because they have a better selection of children clothes, and it seems that is what I shop for most. Very neat and well organized store. Always a deal to be found. And Tuesday's is Senior day so they give you and extra 15% off your order, no coupon needed ! I find it to be very much like Kohl's, but much closer to home. Not sure if they still give Beall's Bucks, ($10 for every $50 spent, just like Kohl's) but if they do, awesome !! read more

This store has become my all time and past time favorite store to shop. Their prices tends to be on the higher end but I have found them to offer awesome deals and sales. So if you know how to work your magic and combine coupons with sales you can walk away with an absolutely outstanding bargain. I have made purchases of dresses for only $10 or less when I utilized the coupon days of $10 off a $25 purchase and taking an additional 50% off clearance items. I have found trendy outfits and fashion jewelry at very reasonable cost in this store. It's always an added bonus to be assisted with excellence service. I absolutely love this store. Lourdes is great, the store manager always says hello and looks at you with a smile. I found what I needed and at a great price and had $10.00 in Bealls bucks to match! So why the low stars for today??? Something very odd. I came in today Thursday February 27th 2020 at about 930am. I made my way to home goods to get a mattress protector. As I approached the area, there was a lovely young woman with a short dark brown/black bob haircut, dark rimmed glasses, grey ankle boots with black leggings, and a knitted dark grey with white sweater. She looked straight at me and did not say hello. I was searching around for the mattress protectors, she walked by me another time and did not ask if I needed help (which I did). She was working on displays etc. I found the mattress protectors and began taking them off the shelf in hopes of finding the size I needed. Again she walks around me and behind me and not one word. I accidently dropped a mattress protector and some fell off the stand and I began to put that back up, which I did not mind. She continued to do what she was doing. I put everything back as I found it and I had my mattress protector on hand. I slowly walked by her and made eye contact again, I smiled and she said nothing and turned away. She did not have a nametag on. Is this woman the upper echalon of Bealls and does not require to either acknowledge patrons or wear a nametag? Very odd. I normally do not complain or bring notice to such things. So why am I doing this now? Because I work retail and I know what it looks like when those with no ranking fail to wear a nametag, or say hello to a patron. I would hate to think that if this woman who ignored me is in upper managment that she is allowed to bypass the protocols expected by everyone else. read more
