There is a fair amount of angular parking in the one-way lot, but if it's full, you can try the either the Dunkin Donuts or Asian Ginger lots across the street. Waaitress was nice. Hopelessly over worked trivia night. 3 out of 4 visits..the posted available beers were not available. Allowing smoking right by the exit door..no thats not cool. Nor is vapeing inside which we saw several times....Food was ok. read more

Erin our bartender greets us and remembers our drinks from 2 weeks ago our first time there, now that alone indicates that she pays attention. I had 2 tap beers and 2 shots and my buddy had 2 bottles. Ordered wings to go with maple bourbon sauce!! As always a good experience and treated well. Will be back for more! read more

The Barking Frog is all that you would expect from a little bar on a fairly major street in the outskirts of Beacon, NY. That being said, it's a great little place. The beer is cold, reasonably priced, and served with a smile from the bartenders. Great place to go for a few drinks, and they often have live music there. I may be biased because my friend's sister sings there sometimes, but I have a blast when I go. No frills here - just a regular blue collar bar. Great food & ambiance, especially on weekends. I came here during the week to watch Monday night football with a group of 3 others. In the 3 hours there, we easily spent over $100 and tipped well (and probably another $20 on the pool table). At about 11:25, the bartender shouted out to us, "we close in 5 minutes, wrap it up!" I responded with "you don't do last call? We wanted to order another round?" Which for some reason, she took great offense to and responded with something along the lines of "ive been here for 15 years you don't tell me how to run my bar!" I'm not sure if she was drinking in between serving everyone or what but that reaction was definitely un-warranted especially when we were trying to give her establishment more business (we were not aware of the weekday hours & they are not posted anywhere). Upon leaving, she started yelling to us "wait where are you going? I thought you wanted last call come back! I got it right here!" I'll continue to come here & support one of the last authentic beacon businesses left, but a change in bar staff definitely wouldn't hurt. read more

The Barking Frog is a well managed place and the owner is caring. They have always been good to me and I have gone there for both karaoke and trivia. Trivia nights are hosted by John Bryan and he is one of the best quizmasters in the county. read more

Local old school pub kinda where everyone knows your name but with an edge. Very lively, a lot of interaction between patrons, can be bawdy. Definitely not the place to go to if you are looking for ambiance and elegance lol. I was there on a Tuesday night so crowd cleared out early. First time coming to the barking frog. Came across the bad reviews and figures we'd give it a shot anyway. I'm so happy we did . The drinks were amazing the food was exactly as order we got extra crispy buffalo and garlic herb wings burgers were great and so were the pork tacos. THe best part by far was the bartender, holly. Not only did she welcome us as if we were "regulars" she was so friendly and accommodating and ready for us to have fun. You can have good food and good atmosphere but the bartender is what makes it. And she made the night wat it was. The atmosphere was great there was pool darts and a jukebox and all the guests were ready to mingle and have fun and enjoy themselves. I love the Barking Frog. The staff is great, the food and drink has never disappointed, and its convenient to get to. Prices are always reasonable, and they always have specials, especially on football Sundays. They sponsor my local dart team on Tuesday nights as well, so I spend a few hours a week there most weeks in the fall, winter and spring. read more

AMAZING BAR! It is a little off the beaten path of the main street bars, but totally worth the trip. Sabrina Marie is an awesome bartender! I have been coming to the Barking Frog for a few weeks, all on her shift. I can say she always has a smile and very attentive. Service is fast around the bar, even when she has to wait tables! What will also keep me coming back on her shift is that she takes the time to talk and get to know you. Sabrina is a great listener. She takes the time for all that come in. I look forward to football Sundays with her working! The food is outstanding and not simply bar food. The bartender on Saturday night (don't know name) has a nasty attitude. This is the third time I came into the establishment and the second time she was nasty. One thing I can't stand, she has her regular customers who she addresses first, leaving not so popular patrons waiting. The atmosphere around the bar is loud but that is what I expected being most of the crowd was under thirty. I gave my review a one star only due to service. A drink is a drink, especially when you are drinking beer but bad service would prevent me from returning. read more
