Extremely nice server, quick service, and relaxed atmosphere. Really neat old-fashioned diner vibe! The salads were crisp and cold. The poutine was cheesy and greasy, as it should be. The au jus for the French Dip had onions. Got a nice little bag of Martin's chips with it so I could take them home for later. The Meatloaf and whipped mashed potatoes were like grandma's. Sweet rice pudding with whipped cream and cinnamon to top it off and grabbed some homemade halupki soup to take home. The menu is fascinating with some really interesting options! We'll be back!

I gave this a place a 1 because first in November the place had air conditioning on had to sit with oversized coat because it felt like i was outside. The potstickers were greasy and the sauce was so spicy hot without no indication on the menu and i cant have spice ruined my whole meal.

We had a great diner lunch here! It's got a local diner vibe and menu. We both got lunch specials. One seemed to be a regular menu item and the other a true 'special' since it was St. Patrick's Day. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were VERY reasonable especially since we were just a couple miles from super touristy Jim Thorpe. I don't know what all the negative reviews were all about. It seemed perfectly clean, even the bathrooms... and the food was classic diner.

My mom and I found this on our way to Walmart in Lehighton,PA. This is a nice diner that has an old-school diner feel to it. The food and atmosphere were good here. They don't have a big, traditional diner-style menu, but enough choices to satisfy anyone craving breakfast or dinner at a reasonable price. The service was good; we weren't kept waiting too long, but understood as they had a sign to notify us of being short-staffed.

Clearly the Beacon 443 Diner in Lehighton PA is a local favorite. The diner is run by a small crew so things move a little slow but the food is well worth the wait! We enjoy the breakfast menu and I love the coffee! There isn't a bad menu option to choose from and the fact that I've seen many local regulars at the diner come back time after time is a testament that the Beacon Diner is the place where you'll always find a good meal and a place to meet up with friends for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! I highly recommend you give it a try but whatever you do don't go on a Tuesday because they're closed on Tuesdays. :-). Finally big shout out of thanks to Deb our waitress and the rest of the crew who keeps this local gem humming.

We visit Jim Thorpe annually and were excited to try this place given its vegan options. When we entered the restaurant, the set-up was a little confusing. They did seat us pretty quickly though, and the service was probably the only positive to this experience. My husband and I both ordered cocktails; he had the Manhattan while I had a special vodka drink they were offering that day. Our drinks were overall fine but not anything special. My husband's Manhattan was very basic tasting. The menu and the food were the worst parts. The menu is unnecessarily long and phony sounding, like they are trying to be quirky but just come across as fake and condescending. There's extra, unnecessary description of the food that makes the menu difficult and frankly annoying to review. We ordered the bread teaser as well as the hummus. The pesto and the hummus were basic store level quality. The bread was definitely undercooked. For our entrees, we ordered the Cleopatra salad and a pasta dish. The salad tasted fine enough but it was basically just romaine lettuce with a very light dusting of nutritional yeast, vegan cheese, and a very low amount of chickpeas/protein. The pasta was an absolute travesty. It was extremely oily, flavorless, and bland. To top it all off, the food is extremely expensive! They have absolutely no business charging that much. The interior of the place is also a waste of space. It doesn't make any sense that it calls itself a pub. There's also stupid decor everywhere, including a sign that says "no" leading out to an employee-only location. I guess that's supposed to be funny but just comes across as condescending. It's a shame that this place has such a good location with Jim Thorpe and apparently can make a pretty penny serving subpar food and weird vibes. Don't waste your money.

We were excited to try some items on the menu, so we made reservations. What a disappointment! When we got to the restaurant, we were the only patrons there. Red flag number one. We were seated immediately, and handed menus that consisted of alcoholic beverages, and a pop up menu of sandwiches. We were never told while making reservations they would not have their full menu, especially on a busy weekend, and were told that customers did not have to pay for parking. We were literally in and out in 3 minutes because of the menu, and came out to a parking ticket on our window. We had to make alternate plans for dinner, which in the mo the of October you basically need a reservation anywhere you go because of tourism, and had to pay a parking fine. Do not recommend this restaurant.

The staff insists that "it's well worth the wait," but the real question is: is waiting over an hour for food truly worth it? After placing our breakfast order around 10:40 AM, we eagerly anticipated a plate of fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon, but alas, time marched on. In fact, it marched so slowly that I'm convinced we slipped into an alternate universe, where time doesn't exist and food is just a mythical creature. By 11:45 AM, we were staring at the menu again, now featuring lunch items, and questioning whether breakfast is merely a figment of our imaginations. To make matters worse, the entire experience felt like a tourist trap--no pun intended--where dreams and appetites go to die. You know it's bad when you start contemplating whether the omelet and pancakes you ordered actually requires a passport to arrive. By leaving time (6pm) we contemplated making a pit stop on our way back to see if they were finally prepping our breakfast, we had resigned ourselves to the cold reality of gnawing on our own disappointment. Don't get me wrong; I appreciate a good mystery, but I didn't sign up for "Where's My Breakfast?" as the main feature of my day. So, if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal that may or may not arrive before dinner service, this gem is for you. But for me? I'll be sticking to an actual looking glass, where at least I know the reflection of my breakfast is not just a cruel joke. Never again. Nope. Edit** we walked down the road to Antonio's pizza, the place was packed but Magee to find one empty table. Upon sitting down our order was taken within 2min. Our food then took 10min until it came out. We were blown away! Antonio's for the win!
