Finally got to check out this place! We couldn't have picked a better night either, the weather was beautiful The fire ban stopped us from enjoying the fire pit, but we will definitely have to get out there again to experience it . Our server was Tiffanie and she was just the best, full of conversation and knowledge about the place. We had the perfect table along the river, lights were strung up at the tables for when the sun went down. If you dont get to sit along the river, you can sit under the beautiful huge pavillion they have. It's all wood and when I say it's gorgeous, I mean it! There is a bar there also. We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed the entertainment and had a few more drinks after dinner. We had the brisket blazing fries for an appetizer and then I had the chicken parm as my entree, Casey had the Piggy Pile-up sandwich. Everything was very good! They also have a game room with a pool table, juke box and games of chance. You could easily spend a few hours here. The food was gross. We drove by this place and I said to my husband it looks like one of those places that are nicer than what the food will taste and that's exactly what it was. I ordered the tacos and asked for ground beef instead of the steak. And that was ok. My husband got the smoked wings and said they were gross. He got garlic parm and was not impressed. He loves smoked food but he said these had no flavor. It was freezing cold inside. The waitress was super friendly and was a pleasure. But I should have went to the cheese steak place that we were originally going to go to. Now I'm upset that I'm going home and spent $50 on absolutely nothing. We actually pulled in and saw a hundred motorcycles and turned around and left thinking it would be crowded. The place we went to as an alternative was closed so we went back. Hostess was super friendly and seated us right by the "river" not crowded at all inside! Rum runner seemed to be orange/peach slushie. Didn't taste any Malibu at all in it. No price listed. Nachos were very good but not for $18! Ribs were delicious and tender and juicy - great smoky flavor. Fries were crisp. Meet our new friend Roger. Let me tell you a lil story. It is human nature for people to only post reviews when they have something negative to say. That is not the case here! This past Sat, Jenn and I decided to go for a ride. It was overcast so we checked the weather, not once, not twice, but about a dozen times between us.No rain in the forecast at all. We had an amazing ride up to Jim Thorpe where we had lunch and took in the sites. Just before we were going to leave we heard a huge clap of Thunder and the couple next to us told us a severe thundetsrorm was coming. We looked at the weather and south looked good so we made the decision to try to get south before the storm hit. BAD MOVE! As we climbed out of Jim Thorpe, the skies opened. It was probably the worst rain and wind I ever rode in certainly without any rain gear. It progressively got worse to the point I couldn't see... the rain was too hard, wind gusting, and getting hammered as cars hit puddles next us. We pulled into River Walck for shelter. There was a group of people calling to us and ushering us under cover and into shelter. This is when Roger, the manager and Christina a server stepped up to help. Roger immediately said let me get you some dry clothes and offered to dry the clothes we were wearing. Knowing we were miserable and Jenn was still hyper ventilating, Christina got us drinks to calm our nerves. Over the next hour, our clothes were dried and we were engaged in friendly conversation. The skies cleared, they gave us our clothes back and wished us a safe ride. It is really great to know there are still good people out there. Thank you Roger, Christina, and River Walck. Was grossly disappointed. Outside seating available in April but no indoor service? How is this a sensible business model? Server was friendly, but service was slow. Dirty Martini was undrinkable, consisting of just olive brine. Could not see thru the martini glass, no trace of vodka. Keibasa sandwich was two hot dogs, split in half. TexMex Burger was decent as was the Harley Hen sandwich. Fries were decent, just cold. Salsa was watered down with ketchup. Do not recommend and will not go back. read more

The food at this place is bad and also very overpriced. The meat that is used for things like pork sandwiches, taco salads, ribs etc...is almost always dry and lacking of any flavor. The last couple times I've been here, the server has started off by telling us that they are out of numerous items. How can you have such a small selection of items and still frequently be out of them? I wouldn't mind paying $15-$18 for burgers if they are good, but the quality of the food does not warrant the menu prices. When this place first opened, the menu was huge and the food was great, and it slowly has gone downhill since. At this point, I feel like they don't even care. I do not give many 5 stars, but I'm taking a lot of things into account for this one to get it. You really have to make this place a destination stop! It's not just a "biker bar". I have been here numerous times and have never seen people have any issues! No biker "colors". There is a person in the parking lot to help find parking (which makes it easier for sure). The food is very good! Today we got the loaded bacon fries, pork sandwich, nachos, and prime rib sandwich. Ate here on our way back to New York. The half chicken was very good, the meat was juicy and tender. Probably the best half chicken I've ordered at a bbq place. My fiancé ordered the half rack of ribs and his were tender and tasty. We also ordered 2 beers which were delivered to the table quickly. We also tried the fried green beans for a starter which were served with a ranch dipping sauce. Overall everything was very good we had an excellent experience. They tell you over the phone that you have to follow the state's guidelines. The guidelines put in place to keep people from getting sick. I've been coming here a few times a year for what might be a decade. The outdoor environment and design of the facilities along a tributary waterway leading into the Lehigh River is really terrific. Great dive bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a huge deck overlooking the river. We stumbled upon Riverwalck while camping and visiting friends in the Poconos and couldn't have been much happier. He had some wings and I had chicken fingers and then we sat out in Adirondack chairs watching the river while listening to music on the speakers and enjoying some drinks. They have a great, laid back atmosphere and nobody rushed us or seemed to care that we just wanted to hang out and enjoy the scenery. I was a little less pleased with our second visit because the deck was packed with smokers, and the secondhand smoke definitely detracted from the fresh air and relaxing vibe. Maybe a certain section for smokers would help, instead of allowing it in the whole outdoor space? I know it's supposed to dissipate outside but you get 30-40 people and that's still a lot of smoke. read more

Lots of outdoor seating, fire pit. The seats are really uncomfortable. They were not serving tapped beers just mixed drinks and bottled beer, mostly domestic. Each table has a number assigned and that's what you use to order your food and drinks with at one of the bars, there are no waitresses. They do have runners serving food. So in our case where the burger was well instead of medium and the pork/kielbasa sandwich had no slaw as the menu read it should and the taco fries had no taco seasoning about them, they were quite bland. Basically your stuck with whatever and however they.give it to you. Again, I think this place gets packed due to ambiance more than it does quality of food and service. read more

I found this place while randomly driving from Jim Thorpe to my uncle's house in Newfoundland. It's now my absolute favorite bar. Food is very good and a big selection of stuff to drink. I had the "mountain man" wings and GF had chicken tenders. My wings were smokey and flavor was great. She was happy with the tenders. The inside of the bar looks like a cool biker enclave. Service was good. The outside has a big camp fire, a river, and tons of seating in wooden chairs. It's all integrated very well from inside to outside. There are several bars outside. There are speakers in the rocks which was real cool. We sat back, sipped a few drinks, and listened to some CCR while watching the river. Life is good! Definitely happy we stopped by on a total whim. I'll be stopping by every time I am passing through. Great scenery, nice people, fantastic BBQ... what more can you ask for? read more

Ok... this is a 2nd review/update. I spoke SO highly of these guys in the past, have been back 1/2 a dozen times, made excuse after excuse after excuse. This place needs to be avoided. The food is marginal at best (who the heck sells a garbage steak sandwich!?!). Had ribs that were tough to eat....they do burgers well, though (hard to mess THAT up). The food's not the issue, though....the attraction is of being near the river which overcomes the food's mediocrity.....it's the God-awful service that's the issue!! You'd THINK that because of covid and the lower attendance, servers would be "on top of it".... they're not. They're somewhat bitter that they have to work instead of joining ONLYFANS for that easy dough (they're not hot at all, but I'm told below-average-country-looking-dumpy broads can make money on there, so......). My last visit (I'm never returning) was bringing a group of people there.....we sat there for almost thirty minutes before I went to the bar asking if anyone was going to take our order.....I was told and I'm not making this up, I was told that she - the bartender - could take my order. I responded a little harshly, "ma'am....I've got a GROUP of people with me". She thought it through, realized I was getting irritated by her ambivalence and decided to actually do her job. I wanted to pay - just so I could express my disgust with her by leaving ZERO tip, but I had payed the previous 5 times....so my buddy paid. I begged him NOT to leave a tip, but I didn't see the final bill. If you go here, don't expect decent service.... they're too busy partying to notice you. Don't go for the food....it's high priced mediocrity....the only thing that saves them is: no other venue smokes their food and the ambience. This is an okay place, awesome outdoor and what not. I'm writing because they charged me an additional 41 dollars after incorrectly charging me 60 dollars and won't pick up their phones. All things aside I had a decent time here, decent food, decent vibe but what kind of shady bs establishment doesn't have an operable phone? Or won't respond on Facebook or messenger? This is terrible. My bank will take care of it, already submitted a claim, but it would be nice if manager could maybe step up and be easier to contact. You should defiantly check this place out. All the out side seating right next to the river with the various fire pits and the rustic look of everything promotes a good relaxing vibe. Drinking beer around the fire pit at night promotes a really interesting night with interesting people also. Plus the waitresses are HOT. The service was very good also. I almost love this place if it wasn't for the quality of the food. It wasn't nothing horrible but it was just ok and for a really cool place like this I feel the the food should be able to blow you away just as much as the country/biker style opulence of this place. We are here for dinner on a school night. We were put in the back dining room where it is very dark. 3 tables one light. It was very hard to read the menu but it would have been fine if we didn't have the kiddos. The kids portions are huge!!! So don't worry about it, also the buttered noodles are drenched in butter. I wouldn't allow the kids to order those again for the boys. Our waitress was very good and attentive. We will return because the food is consistent and it's ok. It isn't the best. Was already disappointed that they didn't have my got damn tacos on da menu ... so I ordered a taco salad. My 15 yr old boy server stumbled around the patio searching for my table ... breathing his corona breath on my salad the whole time. When my food finally got there tasted like ... honestly nothing... don't even remember that flavorless sorry excuse for a meal. Let's put it simply .. it fuckin sucked. Not a single server or bartender was wearing a mask. Well they had a mask but it was down around their damn neck. Took a ride on the bike today from the Scranton area hoping to perhaps sit outside and enjoy a meal. We have been there many times before and always had an enjoyable experience. Today, hundreds of cars in the parking lot. Absolutely no social distancing whatsoever. People in line to get in, literally on top of each other. No crowd control whatsoever and not a mask in sight. I am so disappointed in the lack of responsibility and respect for people that want to patronize your establishment appropriately. This place is awesome! I did not eat here so I can rate it on the food. However i had ordered two drinks a pickle shot which the bartender made with sweet pickle juice and almost knocked us on our butts, a pickle shot is made with dill pickle juice. I thought everyone knew that. Yuck Also ordered an orange crush which was an epic fail as well. It had no fresh fruit it was all from the bottle. I guess im pampered back home and at the beach.
