Very pricey and the prices don't make sense. Nachos cost the same as ribs and a side??

We actually pulled in and saw a hundred motorcycles and turned around and left thinking it would be crowded. The place we went to as an alternative was closed so we went back. Hostess was super friendly and seated us right by the "river" not crowded at all inside! Rum runner seemed to be orange/peach slushie. Didn't taste any Malibu at all in it. No price listed. Nachos were very good but not for $18! Ribs were delicious and tender and juicy - great smoky flavor. Fries were crisp. Smoked wings were very good but sitting in a pool of bbq sauce that wasn't anything special. Overall we would go back but it's pricey.

Meet our new friend Roger. Let me tell you a lil story. It is human nature for people to only post reviews when they have something negative to say. That is not the case here! This past Sat, Jenn and I decided to go for a ride. It was overcast so we checked the weather, not once, not twice, but about a dozen times between us.No rain in the forecast at all. We had an amazing ride up to Jim Thorpe where we had lunch and took in the sites. Just before we were going to leave we heard a huge clap of Thunder and the couple next to us told us a severe thundetsrorm was coming. We looked at the weather and south looked good so we made the decision to try to get south before the storm hit. BAD MOVE! As we climbed out of Jim Thorpe, the skies opened. It was probably the worst rain and wind I ever rode in certainly without any rain gear. It progressively got worse to the point I couldn't see... the rain was too hard, wind gusting, and getting hammered as cars hit puddles next us. We pulled into River Walck for shelter. There was a group of people calling to us and ushering us under cover and into shelter. This is when Roger, the manager and Christina a server stepped up to help. Roger immediately said let me get you some dry clothes and offered to dry the clothes we were wearing. Knowing we were miserable and Jenn was still hyper ventilating, Christina got us drinks to calm our nerves. Over the next hour, our clothes were dried and we were engaged in friendly conversation. The skies cleared, they gave us our clothes back and wished us a safe ride. It is really great to know there are still good people out there. Thank you Roger, Christina, and River Walck. We will be back!

I LOVE this place!! The food is Always good, we love the addition in the back it's so way cool like sitting outside in winter! And the bar in there has the most Davy barkeep that knows her business and makes the best BLOODYMARY I've ever had!! Best of all my pocketbook doesn't have a cardiac over the prices!! Very reasonable!

this place definitely doesn't deserve more than 2 stars. i don't recommend you come here unless it's just to drink. enjoy these pros and cons. pros: - the outdoor area was beautiful. - the fries were perfect. - chicken tenders were fine, but also how could they mess that up? - the jumbo pretzel was good. - $4 vodka drinks! cons: - the chicken tacos had canned chicken and 0 flavor. had to douse that in ranch just to get through eating them. - that was a sorry excuse for loaded nachos. chunks of tomato were huge, so many black beans, liquid cheese instead of real melted cheese. proportions were all off. the guac was okay, however. - the fish sandwich came out with no coleslaw despite saying it was included. but the fish tasted okay.

Was grossly disappointed. Outside seating available in April but no indoor service? How is this a sensible business model? Server was friendly, but service was slow. Dirty Martini was undrinkable, consisting of just olive brine. Could not see thru the martini glass, no trace of vodka. Keibasa sandwich was two hot dogs, split in half. TexMex Burger was decent as was the Harley Hen sandwich. Fries were decent, just cold. Salsa was watered down with ketchup. Do not recommend and will not go back.

We went for a quick bit to eat and the food was good. We had chicken fingers and fries we split it ! My new thing is it clean- and eating was outside was nice open air! Will be back soon!! The location for this place js also perfect for dogs! They are dog friendly!!! Guess what we have a 13 week old pup and she loved it ! It was a hot day out and we took her on the path down to the creek why we waited for our food My son is 12 and we played shuffleboard too while we waited. Dog got offered water more then we did! Haha Ok wasn't expecting this but the staff was amazing! People eating were kind and nice to my pup! Thank you!

I do not give many 5 stars, but I'm taking a lot of things into account for this one to get it. You really have to make this place a destination stop! It's not just a "biker bar". I have been here numerous times and have never seen people have any issues! No biker "colors". There is a person in the parking lot to help find parking (which makes it easier for sure). The food is very good! Today we got the loaded bacon fries, pork sandwich, nachos, and prime rib sandwich. It does get a little busy, but who can blame it...it's a great atmosphere, great people and a great responsible time! Cannot wait to go here again.

Truck out front, plenty of motorcycle parking.

I ordered a half rack of ribs, side of mac and cornbread. OMG. The ribs were tender, with an amazing dry rub and BBQ on the side. They were a nice size with a great smoke flavor. Speaking of smoke, next time I go, I'm getting the bucket of mac. Creamy, smokey, spoons full of comfort. Finally the cornbread. Probably one of the best cornbreads I've ever had; it is more in line with a pound cake. I could eat an entire loaf. Smooth and sweet. I got my order to go. Great customer service!

I was on 309 North and passed it (it was on the left hand side). So, I pull a u-ey (is that how one abbreviates U turn). I was SO disappointed by how hard the ribs were. They were not tender AT ALL. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I definitely have had WAY better ribs. I would not recommend this place. Update: owner responded with sincere intentions. I WILL give these guys a second try. I'll post the results afterwards.

I've had tender, cut with a fork prime rib years ago, but I cannot this elusive cut anywhere in the Lehigh Valley. The places I've tried were all good, but none were great! I've tried prime rib at Millers Ale House, Prime Steakho.use, Texas Roadhouse, Outback, Longhorn. While the seasoning and taste varies from place to place; the one common element is having to saw the steak with a knife to cut it. This results in excessive chewing of the meat. This really reduces overall enjoyment of the prime rib experience. To get what I want from a prime rib experience will probably require paying $60 plus dollars and a long drive from the Lehigh Valley. Grumpy's of course serves smoked prime rib. I love smoked meats but not when it comes to prime rib I discovered. So, I won't be getting the $32 dollar, 16oz prime rib there again. I will be ordering the blackened bleu cheese burger with bacon and the ribs again! Onion rings a must for me. The side salad (adds $2) is excellent! Not just iceburg lattuce. I chose cole slaw as a side' it's good but their style of pink cole slaw is not for me. You get a piece of corn bread, but it's tiny and totaly underwhelming compared to cornbread elsewhere. The staff is courteous, attentive, and friendly. The ambience leaves much to be desired. To me feels like a bikers bar, which it is not. At the end of the day Grumpy's gets a B+ in my book and I will occasionally visit for lunch or dinner. Note: Their Au Jus is highly recommended and is not served with the meal. Must be asked for and you'll be glad you did!

Roadhouse is the perfect word for this place. It's packed with Americana and has a really homey, laid-back feel. I wish it were closer to where I live because there were a lot of things on the menu I'd love to come back and try--especially the Creole/Cajun options. This visit I went with the wings and the gumbo. The wings were smoked and really good, and the gumbo was just as tasty. It also looks like they can pack a crowd in here--they've got a bunch of live music acts scheduled through January. If this place were closer, I'd be here a lot more often. That said, anytime I'm heading back to Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, this will definitely be part of the same-day plan.

We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. They don't have a truck, but have a small tented area where they display the menu, take orders and pay (credit cards accepted). Then next to it is a large wide smoker and a table where you hand over the receipt and collect your order. They offer pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, roasted hog and sides (baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, etc). They use their own special dry rub, so this BBQ is not dripping wet. They do have several BBQ sauces to add to your food. The baked beans had a pleasant kick to them. I do think they should use a nice brioche roll instead of the average burger roll. I've had a lot of different BBQ from various states in the country and this was better than average. About an 8 out of 10. I was glad to see no fatty pieces in my pulled pork, but my husband found one in his brisket. That's just a matter of making sure prep is perfect. At South Mall, there are no chairs and tables to dine. So bring your own portable ones and dine near your car or take it home. The entire area is blocked and all the trucks/tents face the center of the large rectangular area. Worth checking out.
