After a day of fishing at Leaser Lake, I often stop at Kempton Hotel for lunch and refreshments. You can't beat ice cold $1 PBR drafts here. Some of my favorite places are the old school "hotels" in and around our area. They offer rich history, genuine folks, and often really great food. Robin our bartender/ server is always wonderful. She's a foodie too, and follows #rushieeats so she is always happy to offer me a recommendation and give me the skinny on the monthly specials. For April, they are offering a Chicken fried steak croquette. Fried perfectly crisp on the outside and savory and creamy on the inside. The dish comes with white gravy, but Robin suggested the brown gravy. I sampled both, and ended up mixing the two. This dish was sensational! I choose smoked Gouda Mac & cheese as a side and coleslaw. The Mac was absolutely delicious, but the coleslaw was unremarkable. Steph really enjoyed the fried pickles that are made from scratch. The Bavarian soft pretzel is also made from scratch. Dip that in their amazing smoked Gouda beer cheese and call it a day -- tremendous! My wife had the BBQ bacon burger and loved it. The roll is made from scratch, in house. I had a house made roll with my meal and it was delicious in all aspects. The fresh cut fries are right up there with the best I've had. The come perfectly seasoned from the kitchen. Robin insisted I sample the chocolate peanut butter pie. Yes, it was amazing and worth the price of admission. The pizza here is also made from scratch and is pretty good. I've had it in the past, and it's worth mentioning. /5 Wonderful service, great food, great drinks. They have a craft cocktail program here too as a chalk board special.

My visit to the Kempton Hotel wasnt nearly as cool as nearby Hawk Mountain Sanctuary or the WK&S railroad. We first parked on the street and walked up a great big flight of stairs to reach to top floor of the restaurant. There is a bar with a baseball game on tv on our right when we first walked in. We were seated, along with 3 other couples who followed us later, from the WK&S. The menu was standard american food. turkey breast, veal sand, cod and haddock sandwiches, pork chops, yams, mashed potatoes, applesauce, lots of traditional items. Most of the entrees came with 2 vegitables and the soup and salad bar (which could be stand alone or added for 5.50 to other items) They also had seafood, steaks, etc. service was good, the restaurant itself is housed in an 1870's hotel, and it still looks in very good condition.

Was great years ago with previous owner. Now lousy! Menu lacks any real food! Just sandwiches.

Good food, great staff, good old time. Must stop in when passing through the Kempton area for a meal.

A long time favorite place to get a great homecooked type of meal. Well worth driving from the Hershey, PA area to visit.

Outstanding experience. (Hope this review makes up for minor squabbles about Gracie's, which I too…read morelove!) Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.

I would've never known this burger shop was tucked away in the heart of New Hope if it weren't for…read moremy fiancé's friend. He spoke very highly of the burgers from here. There are no cashiers, but instead several touch screen kiosks laid out for you to place your order. There is a small window where you can visibly see the cooks in the kitchen. I ordered the Veggie Legendary with the Beyond Meat patty. Not kidding when I say the brioche bun makes it better, but overall this is one of the best tasting burgers I've had. It was hard to resist eating the whole thing. The patty had bbq sauce and mushrooms piled high on it. The cheese was melty and the fresh greens oozed out. Fries were hot and crispy. Their table setup is quite interesting - it's like a doctor's office where you remove the disposable paper from the bed after each patient, but in this case, from a table after each customer that dines. We did it ourselves and it was easy. We found seating for 4 pretty quickly, but it may be tricky for groups of 5 or more to find seats together. Cutesy artwork can be found on the walls along with a frame TV that had the Tiny Desk concerts playing. Prices were a little higher than usual, but it is New Hope so that's to be expected. We asked a woman in the kitchen for a to-go box and she provided one right away. The ratings here are accurate! A really great place for burgers and fries.

I absolutely loved our experience at The Burgerly!…read more The ambience was perfect. Clean beautiful wood tables / benches, classy decorations and fun paper to draw on the tabletops. They even had games like Uno! The French fries were huge but still crispy. The Simply Amazing burger was just as it sounded - simply amazing. We loved the fun bottled soda options and the extra sauce variety pack we ordered. The food came out quickly and our server was great. A lovely, easy going experience for a Sunday lunch so I highly recommend giving it a go next time you're in town!
