Most of the menu comes as Gluten Free options too, just ask! Walking distance from 2 of the rare North East truck stops, this place gets rave reviews froqm truckers, I had to check it out for myself. I'm an hour away from Philly, so obviously thats what I ordered, to go: a Gluten Free Philly Pizza, super excited to post photos of it and of course, devour it like I hadn't eaten8 in 3 days. Place is immaculately clean. Staff is steady busy, even with few customers, cleaning and scrubbing. They also sell cold beer and pop, yo go. Good for them! I applaud the creativity small businesses display in order to survive this pandemic!

This was an amazing restaurant and conveniently located to the motel Super 8 my husband and I were staying at. The food was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was amazing and made us take our mind off of our worries of a broken down car 500 miles from home. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, which my husband said was amazing, I ordered the Chicken Ceasar salad which was yummy! We shared 3 small appetizers (broccoli cheese bites, 6 chicken wings, and chicken tenders). All very good! We also ordered a Hawaiian pizza for tomorrow! MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS......THEY CLOSE TOO EARLY. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD THEY SHOULD BE OPEN UNTIL 9-10! ;-)

Pathetic VEAL PARM took it back and was refunded

Amanda, who guided my tasting, was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable as she poured my selections and chatted about the different profiles. In general, the wines are lighter as compared to California wines. I didn't have any wine that I didn't like here. The tasting was $15 and bottles varied from $18 on up. Definitely moderate prices. The day was cloudy and cold, so I didn't explore the outdoor area, but it looked like a pleasant space for warmer weather. I visited only the tasting room and did not check out the restaurant. I took home a couple of bottles, including one of their sangria-style wines that caught my curiosity. I'm looking forward to pairing it at home and sharing it with guests. Folino is a nice stop if you're exploring the Jim Thorpe area in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. Thank you for your friendly hospitality!

We jumped into a blind wine tasting featuring six wines--three whites and three reds--complete with a fun guessing sheet that made the experience interactive and playful. Kenzie was a standout host: knowledgeable without being stuffy, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the winery. She shared great insight into the wines and Folino's story while keeping the tasting relaxed and fun. Huge thanks to her for setting the tone for the night. We stayed for dinner afterward and the food was excellent. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Pair that with the stunning scenery and it made for an ideal date-night atmosphere. Shoutout to our waitress Morgan A, who was attentive, friendly, and handled everything with ease and always with a smile. Thoughtful experiences, great service, and a gorgeous setting, this is exactly why Folino Estate earns its Elite stamp. Already looking forward to our next visit .

So I'm sitting there for a few and I'm like maybe they misunderstood and they thought I made a res for 6 people not at 6. So I went to clarify with the hostess. She understood and repeated the same thing. So we sat and waited a few more minutes before she had a change of heart and came out to tell us we could be seated now. We didn't leave for probably 45 minutes and not one more person came in. As soon as we sat down the hostess who was also the waitress came over and asked for our order. We of course we weren't ready. We just sat! She seemed frustrated and I was thinking wow this isn't going to be relaxing. The first thing I see on the menu is the sharing up charge. I hate that type of thing. I always like to do family style and share stuff. I want to try every thing if it's a good place. So we got an appetizer which clearly we were going to share. Luckily we did not get the share charge. The bread you get before your meal is so good. Fresh cut garlic and oil drizzled on it. You also get a side salad that was delicious. When they brought the calamari I tried moving the bread closer to me so the waitress(same as the hostess) could put the plate down. She grabbed the bread bowl from me and moved it to the other end of the table. When our actual meals came she couldn't wait to get our plates off the table. We really felt like we were an inconvenience. I thought maybe it was just a cultural thing. Or maybe she's just overworked since she was the hostess and waiting on 3 tables. Brought us boxes before we were finished our food. So we were like ok fine. We will just pack up. We were going to get desert but we decided let's just blow this popsicle stand and get something somewhere else. The food here is excellent. I would get take out again but I probably wouldn't suggest a dine in experience. Which is a shame. I don't even really like writing this critical of a review because I don't know what was going on in her life so maybe it was just the day.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!
