Big Creek BBQ Food Truck is located in an empty gravel lot right off the boulevard. The truck itself sits on a concrete pad, so I'm thinking they either own or lease the lot. Anyway, I was in town for a wedding the next day and decided to grab a late lunch here after our drive from NYC. Got the dozen chicken wing special, the half rack of ribs, Mom's Cole Slaw and asked for a sample of all their sauces on the side. Wings were good. My other half though their hot sauce was rather mild. The half rack of ribs were good also. The meat fell right off the bone. I liked them with the BBQ Apple Sauce. Mom's Cole Slaw was good too. Absolute the best BBQ I have had in a long time! We saw this food truck on the side of the road with smokers going- best advertising ever! We both had the Monday special- pulled pork sandwich with 1 side and drink. $9 I had the slaw and he had the beans. The sandwich was huge and had a nice semi sweet and spicy sauce on it. Huge amount of meat. The slaw was fresh and delish. Bean were smoky sweet. There are picnic tables but they were wet as it was raining so we ate standing up. Three and a half stars. Ribs are good, rub had some nice flavors that came through. Ribs were fall off the bone style with a nice juice bite. I appreciated that they weren't sauce slathered and you could add your own sauce. Pulled brisket tasted as if it had been steaming for a while after it was pulled off the pit. Likely kept in a covered warming pan. Both chicken and brisket were under-seasoned and bland as a result. Great sauces and a a variety of them. Sides were all good. Service was friendly but have to take a star off for not one employee wearing a mask. I get it. It's hot in there next to the pit - but I wear one at work all day and other restaurants do as well. Some older folks in line that could get really sick. We can all protect each other - no excuses right now. read more

Some of these reviews are way over the top. Best BBQ you've ever had? Best BBQ other than down South? You people need to get out more. Nice little setup in the parking lot of a car wash. If you are very COVID conscious, the first thing you will notice is that not a single employee is wearing a mask. They probably figure, well, we are basically outdoors. Of course, servers at outdoor restaurants wear masks, so that doesn't really fly. Pulled pork was fairly dry. Asked for spicy sauce. There was no kick to it at all. Both the pork and the sauce were pretty bland. The sides were quite good. I got the cole slaw, which was better than average. And the baked beans, which were nice because they had at least four different types of beans in there plus a little hunk of pork. But the sauce they were in tasted like jarred tomato sauce. So, not great. Not horrible. Pretty OK. I would consider trying the brisket or ribs because sometimes places that have not great pulled pork have great brisket. I tend to be generous with online reviews based on a single experience so I might've let them slide into 4 stars, but the maskless staff is just a stupid political statement. You're serving food to people, and most of the customers I saw were kind enough to be masked when ordering. read more

We hesitated because of the carwash where the food truck is parked until a local told us it was a must try. So glad we went back. Best bbq on our trip to white water by far. Excellent brisket and RIBS with mouthwatering whiskey heat sauce. If I'd have gone earlier in the trip, I would have come back a couple of more times. We had tried to order food once before but it was after 6 so there wasn't much left. Also the hours of operation that Yelp has listed tend to vary based upon the weather. Every meat they serve is sooooo tender and melts in your mouth! And the sauces are a perfect pair!! Best place I've found so far for great bbq!!! This will most definitely be my go to place from now on. Brisket was amazing. Tender and still juicy and smoked just right. They use mesquite to smoke their briskets but they use just the right amount because the mesquite isn't overpowering. The pulled pork is mouth watering good. My wife and I were over in Jim Thorpe for the morning, so we swung towards Lehighton for chow before heading home. (Fewer fellow human beings). We settled on this place because, well, food out of a truck is usually pretty good. My wife went for the 50/50 with the white sauce, and I got a half rack with the spicy sauce. In my unhumble opinions, ribs are easy to mess up. Many times when I get them out, they're dry, chewy, mealy with sauce that's way too sweet. But these get my stamp of approval. When I say I inhaled them, I mean it. They didn't even need the sauce if I'm truly being honest. They were tender and dripping rib juice everywhere. My wife was also very happy with her sandwich. It was overflowing with meat and sauce - so much so we had to bring the rest home. If you're in the area and you smell the smokers going, do yourself a flavor and stop in. My husband always gets the pulled pork with the Irish whiskey sauce, and I usually get the drumsticks with the apple barbecue sauce. Both are to die for and literally melts in your mouth. The owner truly does know how to do barbecue, and their sides are so yummy! The cole slaw is personally my favorite, and they also have baked beans which is another must! Sometimes they have specials as well, but they sell out really quick so I would go for lunch if you want to see their specials. Also, this is cash only so make sure you hit up an ATM before coming. While this is a food truck stand, they have small seating (a picnic bench) but we usually eat in our car or take it home since we're from the area.
