What an incredible little find for a morning coffee, a midday pick-me-up, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth! Donerds Donuts is a locally owned small business that's well worth a stop when you're visiting Jim Thorpe. I learned that the owners met in Chile, where they were inspired to start a donut and coffee food truck. They sold their handcrafted donuts from a vintage VW bus on the streets of Santiago before eventually bringing their passion to Pennsylvania. Today, they have two locations, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Jim Thorpe shop. The storefront is charming, welcoming, and has a few seats where you can relax and enjoy your treats with a fresh cup of coffee. Best of all, everything is made fresh on-site. Their display case is filled with an impressive selection of classic and specialty donuts, along with colorful macarons, French toast cinnamon rolls, flaky croissants, and a full lineup of coffee drinks ranging from lattes to iced coffees. Honestly...wow! Deciding what to order wasn't easy. Since it was already midday, I kept it simple and went with a Boston Cream donut. It was incredibly fresh, light, and filled with rich, creamy custard, then topped with a smooth layer of chocolate. Absolutely delicious! A special shout-out to Sarah, who made the visit even better. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the different donuts and macarons. Everything she described sounded amazing, and she definitely had my mouth watering. I had to show some self-control or I would've walked out with half the display case! She was fantastic. If you're spending the day in Jim Thorpe, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Donerds Donuts. Grab a coffee, treat yourself to one (or a few) fresh donuts, say hello to Sarah, and support a wonderful local business. I know I'll be back the next time I'm in town. read more

Absolutely delicious donuts. We were in Jim Thorpe for three days and went here twice, lol. I had a fasnacht donut with powdered sugar the first day, and it was fabulous. The second time I had a PB cup one, and it was delicious. My daughter had a smores donut and absolutely loved it. My husband also had coffee and said it was great. The service was quick and prices were reasonable. Definitely would come back if we're in Jim Thorpe again. read more

Cute little count stop with counter service only. The donuts are good with some unique flavors highlighted. The croissant was actually our favorite between the creme brûlée and strawberry cream croissant. It's a nice stop, but a once and done for us. While the donuts were good, we didn't think the flavors were as good as they could have been. The creme brûlée had a lot of potential but just tasted as though it was filled a vanilla pudding. read more

We were spending a Tuesday in mid August in Jim Thorpe so we decided that this donut shop would kick off our day there. We came in at the perfect time as there was no line at 9:30am! We decided to get four stuffed donuts and split them all so we each got to try them. We picked the following: Boston cream, pistachio, cannoli and an Oreo. Absolutely incredible selection of donuts! I had such a hard time choosing which one I wanted, but I couldn't pass up a cannoli donut, and it was the best donut I've had. Not only was the cannoli filling delicious, but it was a perfectly made donut. This is not a gimmicky place with subpar donuts but lots of toppings. Our group tried a variety of donuts and each one was absolutely amazing. I also had a delicious chai latte to go with it. Definitely stop into Donerds for a morning or afternoon treat! read more

The donuts that are stuffed definitely taste better. My favorite from the ones I got was pistachio and the cannoli. The tart-ish raspberry/berry cream on top of the pistachio cream really works well. The cannoli cream in the cannoli donut was really good. When it's just the topping, I taste more of the donut which doesn't have much flavor. Price is relatively on par to what most donut prices are now, so no complaints there. Service was also good. read more

We visited in January and I'm unsure how much of an affect the time of year has to do with the amount of options available. Upon entering, although there were quite a few to choose from, I was a bit underwhelmed with the available selection. I opted to try the Dubai pistachio cream which was fresh, full and delicious My wife went for the ol' school glazed which she said was great. I'd love to return during a different time of the year when different flavor options may be available. Stopped by on a whim to try their donuts and they were delicious! Even at 4pm, the donuts were soft and flavorful. Had the chocolate glazed and raspberry jelly and both were definitely better than Dunkin' Donuts. Fairly priced. Had the matcha also which was not sweet and was flavorful. Overall, highly recommend this shop if you're craving a donut! They have a great courtyard seating area too and are dog friendly. read more

We were in Jim Thorpe last weekend and had read about Donerd's. It was our first stop (we found a parking space right across the street). I had the chocolate glazed - it was excellent. I'm very particular about my doughnuts, having been spoiled by Dough doughnuts in NYC - which are the best I've had. Donerd's is a close second! I can never refuse a good donut. Came to Jim Thorpe for the weekend and this place caught my eye while walking down Main Street. Had a fantastic time. Ended up getting a half dozen variety pack so I could try as many as possible. NY cheesecake was a fan favorite. Never tasted a donut like it but I have to try it again. Delicious. I'll add that the space was extremely welcoming and cozy. There's an outdoor seating area in the back if you want to enjoy your sweats/ beverages outside. read more

The donuts themselves were delicious! There were so many tasty ones to choose from, it was tough. My wife and I will just have to come back in the future for me. It was a cute little shop off of broadway. Not a lot of seating but nice staff. The only downside is the drinks were very meh. We got a Hot Chocolate and a Chai Latte and they each were just like steamed milk with some extra flavor. read more

Very small but delicious place! Take out donuts and coffee. Dog friendly even on the inside. The donuts are immaculate and soo soo good. Attached to a wine tasting place so you can use those tables to sit down. Highly recommend the snickers coffee and Boston cream donut! read more

I stopped here on a whim on my way out of town and I am so glad I did! I picked up half a dozen beautifully decorated donuts. If their website displayed the menu in something larger than a thumbnail, I would tell you what flavors I got, but alas... I remember having a Creme Brulee donut that was deelish. The donuts and coffee are fine. I would stay away from the other things. We got macaroons after noon and two of three of them seemed to be old because the texture was chewy and gummy. The next day we got breakfast sandwiches here and they were basically just microwaved Jimmy deans with soft bacon. Staff were plenty nice and donuts were good. read more

Stopped by while in Jim Thorpe and picked up a strawberry donut. It was decent, but for me it was a little dense. I like softer, airier donuts so if you are like me, I wouldn't recommend. Their donuts do look very pretty however and service is quick. read more

A highlight of our trip to the Poconos! The ladies working on 7/9 were friendly and patient as we decided which donuts to purchase. So many great options! We ordered a fantastic variety including creme brûlée, peanut butter and jelly, snickers, Nutella and cannoli to name a few. These were some of the freshest and tastiest donuts we have ever had! Came to Jim Thorpe for the weekend and had to stop at this highly recommended shop! We got here around 9 am, on a Saturday (Easter weekend), and they still had quite a large selection of donuts and there was not a line. We got a wide array of donuts and enjoyed them ALL. I particularly enjoyed the crème brûlée and "homer," which is one of their more simplistic donuts. We were even able to have a few the next day and they were still just as delicious. I also got an iced chai here and it was truly incredible. I didn't have super high expectations for my coffee, but was pleasantly surprised. Tip: Their menu does change everyday, so you want to be sure to check their social media before going there, as their store is not large, and can be overwhelming if you're not familiar with the flavors do the day. Not only were they crafted so well, and were the decorations fantastic.. but they also were extremely delicious. I was sad that I had only gotten one! I think Jim Thorpe is donut heaven and I just made a visit, wow. The banana brûlée was amazing, maybe the best donut ever . The blueberry cheesecake was also delicious but not as good as the brûlée , they have so many amazing choices it was a difficult decision but I don't think you can go wrong. These are not the average run of the Mill coffee shop donuts, they are clearly made by passionate bakers that know what they're doing. I didn't read about the places story but I'm sure they have been around a long time, and will be around for a long time. The donut is very hearty but light and airy, the cream filling is very creamy and you can tell made with quality ingredients. They are definitely well worth the cost , probably should be more. Definitely go glad I tried a few and will definitely visit this place if I ever am in Jim Thorpe again. The liberal coffee shop vibe and service added to the ambiance and I would try some other options including sandwiches and breakfast options. read more

Cute spot we stopped at on our trip to Jim Thorpe! Although it was just two of us we decided to indulge ourselves in multiple donuts: The Homer, Glaze, Boston Cream and Berry Cheesecake. All delicious! Our favorite by far was The Homer, cant go wrong with a strawberry donut! I also ordered a breakfast burrito to balance the sweetness. I got bacon, egg and cheese, which was great! Only reason I didn't automatically give it 5 stars was because they were out of matcha. The service was very friendly and there was plenty of seating area to enjoy our donuts. They're planning on opening a second shop in Bethlehem so i'm very excited to have these donuts more often! read more

Though very aesthetically pleasing, I didn't think that was enough to make up for the mediocre offering. Cannoli Donut (5/5) - This was the best of our experience. Cream was light and airy, donut was fluffy as well, flavor combination all together was perfection. Apple Crumb Donut (2/5) - I know cake donuts lean on the drier side but this felt like I was eating cardboard with apple flavor. There was a little pipette of liquid to inject into the donut, but that nowhere near salvaged the donut. Coffee (3/5) - Sadly, I can't even remember the name of the specialty coffee I ordered because that's how average it was. Hard to say more since there really wasn't much to write home about. I hope you learn from my mistakes and have a better experience! read more

It might be safe to say, the best donuts I've ever had in my life! They are so thick, rich and delicious. They're a bit pricey but completely worth it. Every time I think about them, I want them. The Oreo donut was ridiculous. My wife got the pistachio one, and even that was amazing. The cinnamon sugar was just piled on that one, as you can see. We're definitely going back the next time we're in that area. You should too! read more

At first look this ice cream spot seems to be a gas station before turned into an ice cream shop, a very good spot to attract a lot of costumers. There are some picnic tables around where costumers can enjoy their sweet treats. First we scouted their menu which was on their wall, chose an ice cream flavor, then went in line at the window on the right where you can order food or ice cream, after ordering and paying you go to the window on the left to pick up your order. We bought cappuccino ice cream in a cup, butter pecan ice cream on a cone and banana ice cream in a cup with chocolate top shell. What I was able to taste was the cappuccino ice cream, it was creamy, not too sweet, rich, velvety smooth and captures the flavor of coffee and espresso, really delicious and good. They give large portion for the price, value is well below compared to NY prices. Staff was welcoming and very friendly, service was quick and efficient. I have enjoyed our experience in this ice cream shop, it was a refreshing treat and a delightful indulgence.

By 11:45 AM, we were staring at the menu again, now featuring lunch items, and questioning whether breakfast is merely a figment of our imaginations. To make matters worse, the entire experience felt like a tourist trap--no pun intended--where dreams and appetites go to die. You know it's bad when you start contemplating whether the short stack of pancakes and omelet you ordered actually requires a passport to arrive. So, if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal that may or may not arrive before dinner service, this gem is for you. But for me? I'll be sticking to an actual looking glass, where at least I know the reflection of my breakfast is not just a cruel joke. Never again. Nope. Even before peak summer season, there was a steady flow of customers coming through the doors. The staff seemed like local high schoolers, but they were friendly and working diligently attending to each group that came through the doors. My cookies and cream shake hit all the right flavor notes, so would gladly return and recommend Chantilly Goods to others for their ice cream and sweet tooth needs.
