Great pasties and great coffee! Nice display of options, staff were helpful in my selection. Just wish they had a place to sit.

I LOVE this place! I've been coming to Jim Thorpe for over decade playing music at the Opera House…read moretwice a year. I finally decided to stay over night and explore the town in the morning. If you know musicians, especially sober musicians, you know we like our coffee. There seem to be quite a few coffee options in town, so i randomly walked into this place. It was sooo cool inside! Perfectly decorated for the season, a movie screen play family friendly Halloween movies, and just looked so warm and inviting. There was quite a line, which is a good sign, but i went surprisingly fast! The staff were working extremely efficiently, like a well oiled machine, and every one of them were smiling like they actually liked their job... being someone who travels around the country playing music, this is NOT always the case. I felt so welcomed like i was the only there, but i certainly wasn't! I usually just drink plain drip coffee, but the specialty drinks looked amazing, so I got a caramel something. Soooo goood! Annnd they have fresh slices of a variety of Quiches.. i had ham and cheese and it was amazing as well! I sat there and ate and drank my coffee. I was so comfortable i didn't wanna leave, but i wanted to explore. So i grabbbed a drip coffee to go which was excellent as well! A few hours later, i went back for another quiche and a dirty matcha! I'm telling you that match was the best I've ever had. I finally had to go home, the Eagles played at 1:00 .. but i swear I'd go back to Jim Thorpe just to come here! (I don't EVER write reviews like this, i just really liked my experience and just had to let people know!). go birds

Movies play on the big screen so I watched the end of hunchback cartoon w Esmeralda! And some of Pirates of Caribbean. I like the atmosphere cuz it's dim lighting and you can chill and wake up slowly! I didn't see a sign but it's the corner shop w funky yellow string lights on the windows. Use your GPS. My Husband stumbled upon this place researching our getaway and we gave it a try. You can tell they took pride into the details of all the food served and every ingredient. My husband had the cauliflower special omelette with fresh pumpkin challah. While I had the gardaniera chicken melt absolutely incredible for both!! A must if you will. We took home some pastries which I am sure is incredible. If you are close to the area do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't regret

We came here Sunday with about an hour to closing trying to find the Muggle Mugs... while this was…read morenot it (Muggles Mug was next door but was closed and they removed their Harry Potter stuff probably due to WB lawyers) this place was an awesome find. I got their bourbon honey to try to mix into my hot toddy's like the alcoholic I am... they also had marshmallows and taffy in a jar that said "eat me" which is something I would yell at people in a fit of rage but this was most likely a reference to Alice In Wonderland... Totally loving the vibe of this place. Also, anyone ever notice that this area (Jim Thorpe) seems to have a bunch of churches around here like they were Starbucks but this coffee shop has like three or more witch theme businesses? Like a witches workshop/tower is the last line of defense of a coalition of churches trying to crack down on witchcraft like some sort of Bible theme Avengers? Anyway, this place is great.

I got an iced lavender latte with oat milk, and it seemed very watered down. The ambiance was the best- I'm a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee shop was tucked inside a building that had a few businesses, so I didn't actually notice it at first. I walked in for the gift shop, but saw the coffee shop first upon entry. Service was extremely slow. We were there around 4pm on a Monday and waited in line for probably 15 minutes (there was maybe 4 people in front of us). There was 1 barista working. She took orders and immediately made them after each customer, and so the time just added up. Even though the service was slow and the quality was so-so, I was happy to support a small business

PLEASE update the stores Yelp, and Google hours as they differentiate from the hours listed on their door and the website. ONTO THE COFFEE First up ~ Banana pancake cold brew, with no cinnamon sprinkle on top (per my request) ~ 5.5/10 - The Cold brew itself has a great strong flavor. However there is no flavor beyond that. I did read their menu online prior to ordering and that definitely adds to my disappointment. The described maple and banana notes that the coffee "should" have are missing completely. They make a lot of their specialty syrups and flavors homemade which had me really excited, so I was quickly bummed to taste absolutely none of it. Next up ~ Black Cold brew with Vanilla ~ 7/10 - Simple, basic and what you expect. Not much to add here. Lastly, The FOOD ~ We ordered the Turkey bacon, double egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. ~ 7.5/10 - The sandwich was good! I wouldn't order this again unless I was in a rush. The turkey bacon a little bit sweet and that was great. The Croissant was toasted well, however we were let down by the egg, it seemed to be baked? As if they cooked up a large egg bake for these specifically. Which personally, I wasn't expecting or a fan of. The Spongey texture was really a miss. I do think a bit of salt and pepper would've improved this overall. -

I've had many great experiences at Taylor Roasted over the years, but after today I will NEVER…read morereturn. I was meeting two friends and their 2 year old child for coffee at Taylor Roasted and was met with an employee telling us that children are not welcome unless they can sit still and be quiet. Apparently a child standing in line with their adults, naming the colors of the cups around them, looking at the plants, and speaking is not welcome in their establishment. The man who spoke to us said that since the coffee house/play place down the street opened, they've seen an "influx of children" in their shop and that children have been "playing with toys and knocking over drinks" that has caused them to have to "reupholster a chair" (I encourage them to look up an upholstery cleaner) I can absolutely understand telling someone to leave if their child is being disruptive to others, crashing into things, or damaging their surroundings but no behavior like that was happening. Young children learning to speak will talk, they will be given small toys brought from home to occupy them, and they will try to experience the things around them within reason. We all have to remember that we were children at one point trying to figure out the world. No one is greater than the other. If all members of our family are not welcome, none of us will be coming. I encourage families to try Blockers Coffee House 10 minutes from Taylor Roasted where their employees greet all members of the family kindly and even have a little children's lego table in the corner. Incredibly disappointing experience at a place I used to rave about and recommend to others.
