Spinach & cheese pastry was absolutely delicious! Sticky bun heated in oven at home was really good. Also tried chocolate peanut butter cupcake and raspberry cheese muffin. The owner was so nice and upbeat. Nice drive out into the country to get to this bakery. read more

I would not recommend ordering from this bakery. I ordered 30 cupcakes that I wanted made into a cross for my daughters baptism. I originally contacted the bakery on Facebook messenger on June 25th and was told to call the bakery the next morning. The next morning I called the bakery and spoke to a lady. I told the lady exactly what I wanted and asked if it was possible to have done. She responded back and said yes and was provided a phone number and was told text the cake decorator my name, what I wanted done, when I would be picking it up and any pictures I had. I went ahead and sent the number provided all of my details and a picture of what I wanted. Shortly after sending the message I received a thumbs up reply from the cake decorator. Fast forward to July 13th. I arrived at the bakery. My husband went inside to pickup the cupcakes, shortly after he came back out and told me they didn't have our order. I was in my car tending to my baby so I called them on the phone and questioned what was going on. The lady who answered told me they don't see my order on the calendar and that they don't have it. I went inside and showed proof that I placed the order and the owners husband confirmed I messaged the correct number and he seen the number responded back to me. The owners husband called his wife and was on the phone with her for a few minutes explaining the situation to her. At this point I'm absolutely devastated!! My daughters baptism was in 5 hours and now I don't have anything to take to her reception to share with our guests. Once the owners husband was off the phone he offered me two small cakes that he had in the fridge. I appreciate the fact that he offered the two cakes however I explained to him that I ordered 30 cupcakes and that the small cakes would not be enough for all my guests. The owners husband than proceeded to tell me that each cake serves 8 and that it would be a total of 16 pieces with the two cakes. I then again explain to him that we have 25 guests coming and that it wouldn't be enough. He responded to tell me "we'll not everyone eats cake". (Actually every single guest that came ate a slice of cake). I do appreciate the fact that he gave us the two small cakes for free however it wasn't what I ordered, and wasn't enough for my guests. Anyway I left the bakery absolutely devastated. Since we had two small cakes that wouldn't be enough, I had to stop at giant to purchase another cake so I could serve all my guests. Would not recommend. read more

We began our process with Barry and The Bakery Nook over a year before our original wedding date of May 2020.  From the original tasting to delivery, Barry made our experience carefree and exciting.  Not only was his work sweet, but he was as well. I usually am not a lover of cream filled donut. Growing up in NY it's normally a glazed or jelly donut for me or, if I'm feeling fancy, a chocolate old fashioned. But then came Bakery Nook. Someone brought a dozen of the most delightful donuts to our office in Reading. I immediately wanted to drive to Coplay and buy a dozen more. The fillings were light and sweet without being cloying, the icings were smooth and luscious but it's the donuts themselves that are the stars. Stopped in here for the first time today. Had a hard time deciding what to get because everything looked great. I went with a raspberry/white chocolate chip scone and a chocolate peanut butter muffin. Both were ridiculously tasty and fresh. The coffee was pretty good as well. Haven't stepped foot in the bakery yet, but my relatives brought a delicious cherry pie and chocolate eggs for Easter dinner. I wish I'd thought to take a picture before we gobbled everything up, but everything was delicious. Pie crust is not forgiving and this one flaked just right. The filling wasn't overly sweet and had rich flavor. The chocolates...well let's just say those barely lasted the time it took to open the box. Always get our birthday cakes at the Bakery Nook and they never disappoint. Cookies and Donuts are also delicious, worth every cent even though they are a little pricier than other bakeries. Owner and staff are very helpful and courteous much more so than the rude staff at the bakery on Macarthur Rd in Whitehall. Only negative is they close by noon on Saturday and are closed on Sunday. If you were never at the Bakery Nook please give it a try as they are the best bakery in the Lehigh Valley read more

Poor quality. The 'butter cookies' tasted like imitation butter flavor. The chocolate on top of the cookie was bitter and gritty. The cinnamon buns were dry, flavorless and hard and the icing tasted like cheep lard mixed with powdered sugar. All in all a waste of money. read more
