I always like Beach Hut, and this is maybe the nicest one I've ever been to. Super clean, smells delicious, really nice helpful staff, cute, convenient location and the bread is extra wonderful. They even sell the day olds for a buck! Would definitely hit this again on the way to Tahoe. read more

While waiting for my order in the afternoon on a Tuesday, I watch what looks like a teenage girl chugging beer in between making sandwiches. The entire staff is maskless & shouting out order names over other orders they're preparing. If this is what they want to the public to see, I can only image what happens behind the scenes. The costumer service is kinda awful. Everyone is messing around not doing their jobs and getting paid to gossip and play around. The quality of women working at this location seems un sanitary. Nestled between a fast food place and a pizza joint is the Beach Hut Deli. The guy who took my order was the owner I over heard him tell the guy in front of me that he has a band and that they played classic rock and roll. I had what turned out to be the surf bird sandwich (which is a turkey, bacon and avocado) it was possibly the best tasting sandwich I've ever had my girlfriend had the high tide and she loved it too. The tri-tip were local beef being smoked for a skate park fundraiser. This guy is legit. The sandwich was best ever. Hwy-80 close for a great lunch. Skatepark const beginning 2017. Amazing gem! We happened upon this local deli on our way home from Tahoe and loved it! They have a great beach town vibe with surfboard and Kona decor. Dealing with the power outage hasn't been easy for anyone. My boy friend and I planned getting out of town to go fish near Colfax. We stopped at this beach hut deli to enjoy a sandwich. We rolled up to a bbq stand instead. Power out and this owner was so clever and had burgers and hotdogs cooking outside instead. I was totally craving a burger before even thinking of stopping at beach hut so I wasn't complaining. The owner was so positive and energetic it really made our day. We stopped by here on mothers day, heading home from a weekend getaway. We did not want to wait too long for our food to get delivered to us because we were in a hurry. My wife wanted a salad. She likes salads that have fruit and nuts in it and they did not have anything like that on the menu. So my wife asked if they had a salad with fruit in it and they put together a salad that she would like. It tasted great and the idea of them going out of their way to make something my wife would like is something we highly appreciate. However, the grilled cheese sandwhich that we ordered for our younger two we did not like it. There was too much bread and not enough cheese in it. There was more bread than anything else. I ordered malabou hot sandwhich and it tasted really good. Our son had salami and cheese and liked it as well. We would defiantly come back here. Their customer service was 5 star. read more

I ordered the Malibu (hot pastrami with avocado w roast garlic on cheesy bread) yummy! The Skinny Dipper (hot roast beef w au jus) was also good too. Great flavor. Last the Sunburn (hot chicken sandwich w bacon & hot sauce). Spicy & good. The bread makes a difference too. Nicely toasted. Service was prompt & greeted upon walking in. We happen to stumble upon this fantastic find today. Beach Hut deli is a perfect stop in for a filling meal. Husband had the Pig Kahuna sandwich which kept him quiet until it was all consumed, son had the meatball sandwich which he too was speechless until it was gone. I had the pulled pork salad which left me wanting more. The Amazing flavors satisfied each tastebud. You will not be disappointed . This place is the best. First off, Beach hut sandwiches are amazing. More importantly, this is the best location! Don't stop in auburn when you can stop at colfax. Ky is amazing and has the best attitude which has created such a great atmosphere. Everyone is super nice and will go out of their way to remember you.
