I had an intense craving for Korean fried chicken after watching some Korean food videos on Youtube so here I am. I ordered the half chicken with secret sauce over the phone and I think that was a mistake. By the time I got there and brought it back home, it definitely lost its crispness. The crunch factor wasn't there!! That said, the sauce itself was very sweet which I didn't mind but there was definitely no heat so I'm not sure why it had the fire mark. When I arrived, the small place was busy as expected. I paid for my order and was handed the bag and that was it. This our spot for fried chicken. It is pricey, but, we can feed the entire family a half chicken for under $20 here. The chicken has been perfectly fried each time I visit. Their golden fried chicken, which I always get has a nice subtle kick to it. Kimchi fried rice is good with chunks of chicken in it. The employees all seem to be high school students. But, they are well behaved and trained. They always greet me when I come in. Phoning in the order is cheaper than ordering online that seems to go through Grubhub. Really solid Korean chicken place. This is more of a takeout place as there is limited seating inside. That being said, they also have a few tables outside if the weather is okay. The rosé ddeok bokki alone is worth a visit. So good. Tried the golden original chicken, the Gangnam wings, and the garlic honey wings. The skin on the golden original chicken is nicely crispy, and the flavor is good but not amazing. The honey garlic wings were more crunchy and flavorful, but still did not blow my mind. My least favorite of the three was the Gangnam - they had gone soggy by the time I got home, and the flavor wasn't bad - just probably not something I'd go for again. Can buy for some lunch, and ordered two 8 piece boxes of chicken. Got the Galbi and another non spicy order. However, when I got home to eat my food one was spicy and I can't really do spicy. Also when we ordered the cashier was a little rude, and kept pushing us to make a selection even though we said we needed a minute. She kept saying, "what do you think you want?" This didn't really change our minds about ordering, but soured the mood a bit. After ordering we waited about 20 to 30 minutes for our food. Which was a bit longer than we previously thought, but when we got the food we were able to go home and eat it. I have to say it was pretty tasty, but the other order that was spicy, which wasn't supposed to be spicy, threw us off. Hopefully next time we return we will have a better experience and have the correct order. Our favorite one is the honey garlic wings; they balance out well with the side of radish. Portion size is also good for a boneless wing. Goes great with rice at home too. It costs $27.99 for a medium (16 pieces), and $14.99 for a small (8 pieces). The employees were nice and friendly too. When the cashier had a lot of orders to take care of, he asked for his coworker to take the phone order so that customers don't have to wait too long. (Spicy Galbi, Spicy original, Soy Garlic, Kicmchi fried rice and cheese sticks) Fried rice is a bit over-priced and has a one tone flavor. Adding cheese just makes it worse for me.
