I sent a message on a Saturday morning after dropping my dog at the groomers. I had 90 minutes to try and get my Smog Check done. Bayside was the first to respond, managed to fit me in on a busy day in the time I had allotted. When I arrived they greeted me and got my car into the bay immediately. In 10 minutes I was all done. Great service and friendly staff. Will use them every time from now on. read more

I had made an appointment at another smog check station, Star Smog in Walnut Creek. When I got there I discovered that they had double booked so I had to wait. When I was checking in I presented the online coupon only to be told my car (2005 Honda Element) would be extra. Instead of $29.95 he quoted me $80. I walked out, went home and made an online appointment with Bayside Smog. The technician was friendly and efficient. The price was extremely reasonable. I will be back m read more

I needed to find a new smog place because, my guy would take a few hours to smog my car. I really do not have that kind of time right now, to drop a car off and kill a few hours. What to do? YELP IT! I found Bayside Smog on Yelp, liked the reviews and decided to give him a try. I rolled in on Monday 1/11/2021 a little after 9 am. There was no waiting...really(?)....could this be my lucky day? Hell to NO, it is not my lucky day! The shop in down, due to waiting for a part, so the machine will work. But not to worry, The owner was chill! I liked his attitude and I understand things happen. He took my phone number and said he would call me back to set things up, once the part arrived. I left and a few hours later he called me and set up an appointment for the next day at 10am. I arrived a few minutes early, there was a car already on the machine. By the time I finished the paperwork the car before me was done. Start to finish, "I was done in under 15 minutes!" He throw me a bone, gave me the online discount and waived my cert fee because, of the day before. Bayside Smog is solid, honest and he is an all around good dude. I will not go any place other than Bayside Smog. read more

Great customer service & quick smog test! I messaged the company on Yelp and they messaged back very fast. I was able to get an appointment same day. The guy who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will only be coming here for smogs and will refer other people to this location as well. I went to another smog place for questions and the service was terrible, the guy that helped today (June 7th) at Bayside Smog me was great! The price of the smog was reasonable as well. read more

Great local business for car smog service. This is a 1-man shop, and the 1 man (sorry, I didn't ask name) really cares for his clients and his profession. Called in made an appointment...slowly made it over to the designated shop. He was in the middle of.helping another customer. He acknowledged I was waiting and shared there were a few more chairs. Now what was noteworthy...the gentleman before me had an older vehicle and still received careful, attentive service. Next, I was up...he shared some"good news" about the car I just purchased. After completing the review I asked for another recommendation for service needed and was fortunate to receive some great advice (which I appreciated & used). Take aways: -excellent customer service -honest owner/technician -consistent service no matter " new or old" vehicle. -no frills...in & out...very appreciative for the service ,recommendation & attentive service. Warm regards, Sharine - read more

If everything on your vehicle is fine then it could be a good place I had a vehicle with rear catalytic issue and changed it We went there for smog check and he stated catalytic is not match with vehicle since he read a wrong number by mistake He referred to state department and they said there is a month waiting list to check Then CA state referred back to our mechanic because they thought we have wrong part on vehicle based on his report Mechanic checked and said smog guy wrote a wrong number on report Long story short he wanted to charge us again since its a 3 times for having vehicle there After struggling with all taking time off from work and renting car he refused no charge for smog test because if his mistake. He is not responsible for his fault! Sorry brother but do your job with more responsibility! read more

One more 5 Star review. I agree with everyone else's 5 Star review. These guys at Bayside Smog are personable, smiling, intelligent, efficient and do a fantastic job running the business. I contacted Naqib through the Yelp app at 11:17 a.m. and accepted a 12:15 appointment. I live about 1 mile from their shop and I was away from my house, roundtrip, for a grand total of 25 minutes. Smog cert task... done. Amazing. read more
