I decided to try out a new place since I found it on Groupon & it's near my favorite nail salon (Champion nail bar). From the moment I stepped in I felt like all hands were on me. It was a very relaxing ambiance and they were quick to sit me down for service. Mind you there was nobody else but me at the time which I kind of liked. The manager/owner offered me some water but besides that there was minimal communication. Which when I'm doing something meant to relax (massage, facial even waxing) I prefer the peace & quiet. The owner talked a little about what other services they provided (extensive list) and told me they've been operating for over 10 years now. They were nice enough to give me a second pair of foam slippers since I was going out to eat afterwards, just incase they ripped. I tipped them $30 total which was more than the $27 I paid for the Gel Mani & regular pedicure Groupon lol I did ask what the regular price for it would be and they said $67. I was in & out within an hour. The ONLY thing I did not like was I asked for red nails which they came out red, but they picked it out. I wasn't offered any other shade of red, just the one they grabbed. All in all came out happy and I do recommend this place when in Rowlett :) read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've had. When I arrived, there were only two booths--one for pedicures and one for manicures--with just two women working. One started my pedicure while the other did my manicure. I asked for dip powder, but she applied it like regular polish--dipped my nails twice and added a top coat, no proper shaping or layering. Meanwhile, the pedicure felt rushed and sloppy. The tech was using a battery-operated tool that kept dying, barely filed my feet, and even left some of the old gel polish on before painting over it. At that point, I just accepted it and figured I'd move on. But then I got to the counter, and they charged me $160. I was completely shocked. I appreciate the lady who I am assuming was the owner discounting me. That's why I gave two stars. read more

I take my 85 yr old mother to this establishment, and they treat her like a queen. She is on a walker, and they make sure she is welcomed and accommodated. My mother loves getting her eyebrows done by Elaine, her mani pedi by Nancy. I also get my services done here as well, my lashes and eyebrows by Elaine 10 out of 10, and my mani pedi is done by Lena. I rated this place a 5 star. Because every time I go here, I get extraordinarily great service. Elaine always looks out for me and all of her technicians are top tier when it comes to what they do, at least from my experience. I take my mother there, which is 86 years old, and they treat her like the Queen that she deserves to be treated. Their services again are always top tier and the prices are excellent. Today I went in just because I needed a quick fix for my birthday and Elaine, manage to squeeze me in. Do my nails and my feet and my sister's nails and feet as they walk in and because it was my birthday. She didn't charge me full price. Again, customer service is top-notch. If you are ever in Rowlette, or even thinking about coming to row it, please stop by and see them at Bayside. All the technicians, there are excellent from the front desk. I have gone to this place four times. I have never felt rushed. They have always asked if I wanted to have something to drink. They offer several things beside nails. I visit this shop without researching the reviews. On my first visit I received a pedicure and a manicure the basic. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I was pleased with my results. So I gave them a second chance and I bought my granddaughter in to get her nails done and I got a pedicure. The tech that worked in my feet was on his phone texting while working. The paint on my toes were sloppy. He didn't lotion my legs once he was done. The tech that worked on her nails rushed through the whole procedure. Once we left we could see a lot of flaws. We return not once but twice to correct the problem her nails and the atmosphere changed. They were not pleased at all. They felt necessary to charge me for repair of her nail. It was my first time and definitely the last time I would come to this place for mani pedi ! Not only it is expensive , the lady who did my regular manicure did not thoroughly clean my nails and cuticles... and the guy Andy who did my pedicure did not do a thorough cleaning of my cuticles and toenails. He even did the foot and leg scrub BEFORE DOING my pedicure which I find very weird... usually that's towards the end before wrapping my legs with warm towel, which by the way, they did not do. They just wiped my legs and feet. Also when I used my debit card to pay (not credit card) they assessed me a "debit/credit card" fee!!! I was furious!! They are lucky I still left a tip of $8 for both of them!!! I should have turned my back when I walked in coz there was NO ONE, NO CUSTOMERS! That should have been my sign! I definitely have a mixed review of Bayside Nails and Lash. I had a manicure and pedicure. The manicure was disappointing. The manicurist tore up the skin around my fingernails while filing off the top layer of my previous gel manicure. Some are still tender two days later and look really red. And not all of the gel polish was gotten off so when she put regular polish back on my nails, it looks bumpy and uneven. Terribly disappointed. The pedicure, however, was fantastic. It was a different woman who did this service. She did a great job smoothing my callouses and shaping and painting my toenails. Everyone here was super friendly and talkative, which makes me sad to give a somewhat negative review. I haven't ruled out giving them a second try, but the current state of my manicure has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Found this place on Groupon - pretty good deal for NexGen if you combine with a coupon but you get what you pay for... Staff was very friendly and accommodating especially since I didn't make an appointment. Took a couple stars off because I was nicked a couple of times and it's been a long time since I've actually gotten a cut from a nail salon. Also not sure if it's the polish that they have or the nail tech or maybe a combination of both, but my nails were not as smooth as other places I've been to. read more

Came in for a shellac manicure and ended up getting my nails done as well as a pedicure. Gel manicure was great. Good color selection. It's been a couple of days and I feel like the manicure is holding up great, but my cuticles aren't looking as good as I wish they did. Gave a nice hand massage but I wish it would have lasted longer. You sit in a nice massage chair even to just get your nails done so I liked that. Probably makes it easier for them to up sell you to the pedicure since you are already in the chair. Pedicure was really nice. They did a scrub as well as a really nice foot and lower calf massage. They have some different price point options, I chose the lowest price one for $30 and was satisfied. I had a groupon deal for my manicure so for both the pedicure and nails it was $45 and I thought that was a great deal. I would go back to this place. read more

She rushed my nail job. I haven't got a full set in a while but I told her it looked clumpy and crooked. She was going to fix it after my wax and tint but she had another client so she didn't hVe time. I also asked for a manicure but it was too much for her. Never get your eyebrows tinted here. I came here in hopes of it becoming my new nail salon but I was extremely disappointed. From the moment I walked in I wasn't able to communicate with one of the ladies because she didn't speak any English. I then asked if I could get matte nails and they said yes but by the time they were finished with my nails they put a clear polish instead of the matte and told me to come in the next day because they couldn't find the matte top coat, the lady doing my nails was rushing because they were about to close and she then shaved some of the fake nail from underneath. I did as told, came back the next day and it only made my nails look worse, there was white bubbles on most of my nails, the shape of the nails were horrible and all of my nails weren't the same length. This place was horrible went there last week and my nails are chipping. It's a bar nail salon and nobody offered me a drink not even some water. I paid before cuz was paying with Apple Pay I waited a good 30 minutes before they got to me it was fine just mention I will be waiting. The guy doing my feet kept hitting my legs when he wanted me to switch. Asked him to be gentle then my boyfriend walked in he calmed down. Paid for a $35 pedicure and no callus removal. This place is hands down my absolute favorite place to go for my eyelashes. It doesn't matter who fills them, every single person is amazing. I drive all the way from Balch Springs and will continue to do so. They are not just limited to eyelashes, they are awesome at shaping and henna staining your brows. Yikes. First off it took 2 hours to get a nexgen manicure. My first 30 minutes was sitting at the manicure chair waiting for the girl to find the cotton swabs and alcohol to remove my previous gel polish. Next 45 minutes was spent on them trying to remove the gel. The first girl had someone sub in half way after she was unable to remove it. Then after it was removed a third girl did my manicure. This was on Saturday and starting yesterday my right thumb has been very tender and red. Looks like a possible infection. I did not see any cleaning of tools between the lady before me and me. One of My best experiences with a nail salon! I took my 3 aunts for mani/pedis & I got a massage. The pedicurists all took their time with my aunts & treated them like queens. They were so patient with one of my aunts who kept falling asleep & messing up her nails! I had an hour massage that was wonderful & my aunts were just finishing their nails when I got done so I know they took their time. These were some of the nicest people I've ever met in a salon. Bought a groupon ... Was a great deal for two gel mani's... Until I tried to use them.. Was very frustrated... First coupon used: had an appointment made for a Saturday decided to walk in instead on Friday.. I forgot to mention my groupon and the owner was happy to see me told me to pick my colors and while I was doing that I remembered and told her I had a groupon and appointment for tomorrow but wanted it done today instead .. She said no she don't have time today ... I gave her a face like "r u serious" because I have a coupon which u r advertising u won't except a walk in ... I don't see the big deal ... Anyways she took me and after 2 hours at the place I left with a good manicure and poor customer service ... I dread that I bought the 2 deal mani package ... That means I have to go back.... Well here I am for my 2nd mani .. I called the owner to make an appointment for Saturday she said she is all booked then said Sunday at 10:30 am ..I said fine .. As I write this review I sit out side the salon at 10:30 closed and opens at 11... Apparently they really don't have any customer service skills ...I have kids who I had to leave with someone to make it to this stupid place ... I will never ever come here again ... EVER... Gave them only 2 star because the gel lasted a while on the first mani...
