Our drinks and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time, which we appreciated. The mango margarita was a great choice along with the crispy , well seasoned fried pickles . I absolutely loved the bread with cinnamon butter they brought out while we waited for our meals. My husband ordered the Road Kill and really enjoyed it; he said the meat was juicy, well-seasoned, and topped perfectly with sautéed mushrooms, cheese, and onions. My son went with the country-fried sirloin steak and said he liked it, though he didn't finish because he filled up on too much bread beforehand. I ordered the Steakhouse Filet Salad. It was okay, but the filet had a slightly different flavor that was hard to describe and just wasn't my thing. Overall, aside from the initial wait (which we expected and were prepared for), everything moved along smoothly once we were seated, and we were out at a good time. We'd definitely come back again.

I was happy they had the wine in stock I wanted to try. I also wanted to try the glazed croissant. It was actually good. It's sweet, but tasty. I'm hoping the wine will be great. It was on Facebook with wonderful reviews. The prices are good. Plenty of parking and quiet early mornings. I love H-E-B and all the interesting things I can find.

The Melissa location, unfortunately, is a real disappointment and doesn't reflect the standard HEB has set elsewhere. The store frequently feels like it's operating in a state of disarray. Shelves are often bare, items are regularly out of stock, and the overall organization leaves a lot to be desired. More frustrating, the product quality has been consistently questionable. We've picked up cheese that turned out to be molded and tortillas that were stale, almost as if they'd been reheated and restocked rather than rotated properly. Produce tends to be overripe or outright unusable. These aren't one-time flukes. It seems like it's a pattern. The staff experience is also a notable departure from what you expect at HEB. Employees frequently seem frustrated, and the warm, helpful vibe that defines most HEB locations is largely absent here. The online order pickers are a particular issue. Their large carts are routinely parked across aisles while employees chat, making navigation difficult. Politely asking them to move is not well received. I understand they have a job to do, and I respect that, but at every other HEB location I've visited, it simply isn't a problem. The cashiers are flat out grumpy. They will fling your items across the scanner and down to the bagger, and the customer frequently has to bag their own groceries. Which I don't mind normally but they could be a little nicer about it. We also attended the crawfish boil event on the first Sunday it launched, we got there about an hour in, and it was a mess!! They were already nearly out of supplies, staff had no answers about whether more food would be prepared, and one employee admitted live crawfish were sitting on a pallet somewhere but he had no idea what was happening with them. We ended up driving to the McKinney location instead, which was well worth the extra miles. I hope HEB management takes a closer look at this location. The potential is there, it just isn't being realized. Until things improve, we'll be making the drive to McKinney. 2 stars because I love HEB and everything they do for Texas but just not this location.

**BOGO COUPON IS A JOKE**…read more It had been YEARS since we last ate at Spring Creek BBQ, swore we'd never go back, but a BOGO rib deal encouraged us to try them again. The coupon was clearly made to boost those slow nights (valid only Sunday through Thursday). No problem, we went on a Tuesday night. The ribs were room-temperature, the sides tasted like they had been there since lunch, and the beans were not cooked (firm in the middle). We also remembered those hot, fresh yummy rolls they're known for, but apparently those are only served over the weekend because they were nowhere to be found on an off night. If this promo was supposed to bring in new customers and convince them to come back, it did the exact opposite. Great idea in theory... terrible execution, again.

It's hard to judge, since I like the sauce here sometimes better than any of the other restaurants. The sliced beef is not bad and I always prefer the lean sliced beef to ones that have the fat on it. The sides are better prepared at other BBQ restaurants. The beans are good here. But the corn is much better at another'. Same with the coleslaw. The rolls are super good! Lots of butter. They also come around and offer fresh rolls to those dining in. The sausage is better at another bbq joint than this one. We didn't like the pepper flavored sausage. The original is much better tasting personally. Depends on your mood. I'd return. It was expensive. But what place isn't when you go out to eat? The service is cafeteria style, except they serve you. Just tell them what you want. There are plenty of tables or booths to sit at. It's your choice. July 2024

One touch, and they gave in completely. No resistance. Just tender, juicy surrender. I leaned in, and suddenly it was just me and those ribs, no distractions, no dignity left. The kind of experience where you stop caring who's watching. Then the mac and cheese. Soft. Creamy. Rich in a way that feels almost too indulgent. It coats everything slowly, deliberately... like it knows exactly how to linger. Each bite deeper than the last. I didn't rush it. You don't rush something like that. The green beans surprised me. They had bite. Confidence. A little snap that kept things interesting--like a playful contrast to everything else melting around me. Not innocent. Not at all. And then... the tangy pork sauce. Sweet, smoky, just enough sharpness to make you react. I dipped once. Then again. Then I stopped pretending I had any self-control. It clung to everything in the best way--bold, unapologetic, unforgettable. By the time I thought I was completely undone... they handed me free banana pudding. Cool. Smooth. Soft in all the right ways. A gentle finish after everything that came before. I slowed down. Let it linger. Didn't want it to end. I left full... flushed... slightly overwhelmed. Hutchins isn't just BBQ. It's an experience you feel in your whole body.
