Very disappointed with our visit last night. I waited with my family for over 45 min for our food even though the restaurant wasn't even half full, which is ridiculous. When the steaks finally arrived, they were overcooked and cold in the middle. To make matters worse, we had to flag down a server three different times just to get refills. For the price they charge, you expect much better service and quality than this. Definitely won't be coming back to this location. read more

DISAPPOINTED! 3rd time to this location and all 3 visits my steak came out overcooked.... I always ask the waitstaff how to order a steak to ensure a warm red center? They always say Medium Rare. I reiterate to please ask the kitchen to make sure I get a warm red center, no matter what they call it. STIL, all 3 visits I get a medium well or medium steak. 1st visit, I just ate the overcooked steaks. The 2nd & 3rd visits I asked for a recook, which took from 15-20 minutes each time and BOTH TIMES, the replacement steak was also overcooked! The "Manager" said that I should try ordering Rare in hopes of getting a medium rare steak! While she "graciously " took the steak off my bill, she charged me for the 2 beers (one ordered to have with my meal and the 2nd because I'd been there 43 minutes waiting for the 2nd steak to come). I paid the bill and gave the waitress a $5 tip for her trouble. I am NOT a cheapskate and would just like to come to a great restaurant and get a steak cooked medium rare! We went on a Saturday night, and the place was packed, buzzing, and full of energy. When we walked in, we were told the wait would be about 40-50 minutes, but once we were seated, it didn't take long at all for our orders to be taken. Our drinks and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time, which we appreciated. The mango margarita was a great choice along with the crispy , well seasoned fried pickles . I absolutely loved the bread with cinnamon butter they brought out while we waited for our meals. My husband ordered the Road Kill and really enjoyed it; he said the meat was juicy, well-seasoned, and topped perfectly with sautéed mushrooms, cheese, and onions. My son went with the country-fried sirloin steak and said he liked it, though he didn't finish because he filled up on too much bread beforehand. I ordered the Steakhouse Filet Salad. It was okay, but the filet had a slightly different flavor that was hard to describe and just wasn't my thing. Overall, aside from the initial wait (which we expected and were prepared for), everything moved along smoothly once we were seated, and we were out at a good time. The drink menu states $5.00 dollar beer all day everyday- nothing specific to which beer (draft). Girl brings me a tall and I ask ma'am is this the 5.00 beer deal? No sir that's only during the week... with a glare in her eyes I ask can you read the menu and please interpret it for me. She said I agree 100% with you but they won't let us sell the beer at that price (miller lite draft). Manager stops in and try to give the corporate spin. Each location is different etc etc... haven been in management and marketing on a national level this manner of marketing to the general public is not only shady but screams a big disconnect between the corporate office and the restaurant locations. Last time for us, and company outings. The hosts suck like actually. There is this one red headed girl that walked us to the table didn't say a word and didn't even know where she was going. Not only did she not say a word she completely ignored us didn't even look at us and also walked so slow. As we sat down and ate we saw her doing the same thing to others. I always order my steak medium well and then some kid cook back there who doesn't understand it someone might not like it the way he likes it. He thinks he knows better than the customer and I get a raw steak happens about 50% of the time here they need to train these kids better. If it's not cooked correctly, they should take it out of the kids or the cooks pay. Especially when the difference is rare instead of medium well that's not even close. I've never had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse, but you have to manage your expectations. It's essentially the Applebee's of steakhouses--it isn't upscale, and that's okay. It is, however, the only place in Anna that consistently serves well-seasoned food. Sometimes they're a bit heavy-handed with the seasoning, but the flavor is always there. I usually skip the steaks since they aren't top-tier, and instead stick to the burgers, pork chops, or the ribs (which are decent). If you keep it simple, you'll leave happy. I love TRH but this location has a lot of kinks to work out. When we sat down no one greeted us or even got our drinks for 15 minutes. We had to flag someone down. Turns out our waiter didn't know he was covering our table. Two of the medium steaks weren't cooked correctly and had to be sent back because they were undercooked. I'm pregnant so I can't have raw steaks. When you send back steaks they recook the same steaks which is fine but my steak was too blacken the second time. So although the second time they brought it back it was cooked to medium but it tasted too charred. The manager and another waiter helped out. Once they got involved food and service was quick. It's a great location and has a lot of potential; they just have a lot of kinks to work out. read more

If you like Texas Roadhouse, then this location is no different really. However, our server seemed a little distracted and kept forgetting items we asked for. All in all though, it was a good experience. Food was hot and tasty, drinks were cold and hit the spot. It's our local TR, so I'm sure we will be back. We wanted to try this new restaurant and it did not disappoint. We've been to quite a few Texas Roadhouse but this one is pretty good. The bread is of course delicious. The service was extremely fast. The waiter was super attentive and knowledgeable. The steak was delicious and cooked properly. The fries were so good. The shrimp was average wouldn't get it again. There were a ton of people in the restaurant but a lot of servers. It was a nice lunch date and good experience for a middle tier steakhouse. Looking forward to going back! read more

We love Texas Roadhouse but this one is a mess! The place doesn't look clean and the staff is so unorganized. They didn't have bread for 10 mins and server took over 5 mins to greet us. Staff is friendly enough but the food is very meh. I sat at the bar and had a beer while I ordered some food to go. I was surprised how busy this place was on a Saturday early afternoon. Naturally, the food seemed to take forever. When I got home all of the batter from the Cactus Blossom slipped off. I was left with a huge sliced cooked onion and a glob of batter that had to be thrown away. The other food items and sides were O.K. (but nothing memorable). Overall, I would skip this place altogether and try Chili's nearby or make a drive to McKinney for better options. Perhaps if this location gets its act together I might try it again. read more

Walked in to place a to go order and was advised if I wanted the before 5 specials had to go inside and order at the bar. Went into the restaurant and placed my order waited 35 minutes while waiting those who came in after me were being served their food. The steaks were good, (6) fries I got were old and mushy, was really disappointed. We eat here 2-3 times a month . Hopefully next time it will be better. read more

The best place for dinner in Anna !! I've been on several occasions now and everything was amazing we received excellent service by all staff and have never felt more "at home " . From the time we walked in the door till we left and were invited back multiple times!! And then suddenly over the past month, it's awful. We've given 5 or 6 chances now. Average service but steaks consistently cooked wrong. Medium is full on rare. And we aren't a family that's even afraid of it leaning med-rare. Sent back. "Eh" response from very young staff. Everything else just " ok". First time I've been to a TRH and been disappointed. The ROLLS WERE EVEN BAD. They were dry and kinda hard like either they were baked too long or sat in the hot window for a while. The ribs were super dry and the outside was hard. The service was AWFUL. Someone should tell your bartenders, particularly Jessica and Tyler. It was the typical greeting at first, and as soon as i told Jessica we weren't drinking, she rolled her eyes every single time she interacted with me. Idk if she just didn't want to be there or she's just new to server, but that is unacceptable. Tyler halfheartedly continued her service. At no point during the entire visit did they initiate service, we had to flag them down. They visited and spoke to everyone else directly at the bar and literally went out of their way to avoid eye contact. It made us feel completely unwelcome. We ordered steaks and baked potatoes and Cesar Salads. Everything was great as far as the food goes except the steaks! I don't know what they have done but the steaks were over seasoned and we could barely eat them! We've been going there ever since they opened and this was our first bad experience! We had a terrible experience a couple of months ago. We decided to give it another try last night. Our wait was reasonably short. It took 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. We ordered right away. I had asked for regular butter. I love their honey butter, but need something more savory. We waited another 10 minutes and she brought our drinks. Of course they were not what we ordered, A quick 5 minutes later she brought my butter and the corrected drinks. The rolls were cold by then. The wait staff is friendly, but they always mess up on my steak they either burn it or give to me bloody the way I don't like it. I always ask for medium-well prime rib or sirloin. The last time we were here they served me a steak that looked ok or normal on the top but I noticed it tasted dry so I flipped it over and the whole bottom was black and burnt from overcooking like they tried to hide it from me. . We waited for a better one that should have been medium-well but it was medium with a little blood. So by that time we were tired of waiting and we decided it was fixable and can just cook it at home a bit longer since my husband had already finished his food and I finished my salad and potato. They just never get it right here. Also I have had steaks that tasted reheated or like they were cooked a day ahead or even frozen. This is a new restaurant. The previous reviews did not do it justice. We were greeted promptly, seated very quickly, and greeted within minutes. Our drink order was taken within a matter of minutes. We did arrive close to opening time, but there were several patrons that entered the restaurant at the same time that we did. Our server was an attentive,, we were checked on by both the bus staff and the manager, in addition to our server, and our food came out on time and incredibly accurate. The salads were fresh, the rolls were hot, and the food was cooked exactly as we had ordered. For a restaurant that has opened in the last few weeks, they did an exceptional job! please remember that this restaurant is new, they are going to experience growing pains. Don't let the negative reviews that you see fool you, they did an exceptional job, and I think they will be highly successful! Give them a chance. We were there for a birthday party, a party totally ruined by poor service(rudeness), long waits, incompetence and cold food. Our party was all at separate tables/booth with different waiters, our table unluckily got a waitress that is/WAS horrible. Our first round of drinks took forever, she said the bar has a system that she said doesn't make sense and she was a bartender but they won't let her go back there and grab stuff. The other tables already had appetizers so we skipped those and ordered, I wanted shrimp with my steak but her incoherent explanation of what it would take made me think better of it, sounded like it would mess up my order. We ordered a 2nd round of drinks early to be safe, not early enough tho. At this point we rarely even saw our waitress , it was all runners. After salads she showed up, no drinks , my date ordered a drink this time and some how it came right out with the round we were waiting on. Mine was the kinda cold Corona with no lime, it somehow got knocked off by her at the table. She left and our food came, when the runner set the tray on the stand I looked down at my plate and could see/tell it was real real cold, it was dull and dry looking. Now if I could tell that ,how in the H did all the "pros" it was handled by not know it? It was honestly the coldest food I ever was served besides ice cream. Several other items around the table were cold too(SHRIMP,RIBS). I called the waitress over, not that she came to check on us, and told her. She was well we can heat it up or I can get a manager and do another . I said I don't want either , go ahead and take it and get me a manager. She got an immediate attitude and wouldn't even acknowledge me now, she left ,came back briefly when I was halfway done with my beer and slammed a dish, with 4 limes, down in front of me,then just walked off. I don't trust them to "rush" one out in under a hour given the time on the first one and 4. the experience has been so bad I'm not going to enjoy the damn thing. Thankfully he put my mind at ease , he was going to take that steak off the bill. Well WHEWWWWWWW I really thought I'd be paying for it. THE MaNAgEr was short, dismissive and did absolutely nothing that would make me consider giving this location another chance or not talk it into the ground every chance I got. Every now and then I go to TX Roadhouse, and then remember why I don't go there often. Their food has the distinct taste of being microwaved from frozen. The service does not make up for the bland, overpriced menu. Honestly, Buc-ees has much better food, price point and service. Save yourself time and money and enjoy a much better food experience and get dinner at Buc-ees in Melissa. I was very hesitant about trying this, due to the negative reviews on google. Got there at 4:15pm, thinking we'd beat the rush (everyone had the same idea, completely packed). Bri was our server. She was super attentive, always made sure we had our drinks full, and we were satisfied. Checking on us frequently. I ordered a medium rare steak, it came out rare rare, but they immediately fixed it, and brought it back pretty quick. All and all it was a great experience, just an overwhelming, overstimulating place for me personality, however I had my two small kids, and there were lots of screeching children (because of course it's a family restaurant to be expected). This is our second visit to this location of Texas Roadhouse. We came for dinner on Sunday early evening. The restaurant was semi-busy. We were greeted right away and seated within a few minutes. Our waitress, Marilyn got our drinks and order with a smile and a very pleasant manner. The hot bread, salad, and our steak dinners were delicious. The steak was a beautiful medium rare.
