We were in town for a wedding and found this cute little local restaurant and bar. There was an amazing seafood buffet. We weren't too hungry so we opted for potato skins and cheese sticks and sat at the bar. Dawn was the bartender, she was great. Told us about Leonard, the restaurant and was great to chat with. We had so much fun that we came back the next night and brought the whole wedding party. I think we overwhelmed them but you'd never know by the way they all chipped in together to get everyone drinks and whatever they needed. Dawn was the bartender the second night as well. She's even more fabulous under pressure. Patient, kind and showed a lot of grace to our rowdy group. Leas, the people of Leonard and the fun Saturday karaoke added even more memories to a wonderful night. We'd seen this place advertise on FB and it wasn't too far to drive so we thought we give it a chance. We went on a Thursday evening where it was chicken fried steak, chicken livers and meatloaf on their buffet. First we tried the salad bar. I like the fact that it wasn't just iceberg lettuce but mixed greens with spinach. Vegetables we ate were all fresh and loved the ranch dressing. The mashed potatoes were REAL!! Chicken fried steak was tasty, not chewy and the livers crisp! I love the choice of butter for my fresh soft roll too. Been coming here for the last few months since me and the gf moved in down the road a few minutes. We started coming 1-2 times a week for the seafood buffet and steak night, and a random night as well. We loved our waitress who we've had since the beginning, but she moved on to bigger and better places. But we've managed to find a new favorite. The place is always pretty clean and cozy. There's been a time or two where our wait on our food was more than expected, but for the most part they have always been pretty quick at getting the food out. There steak night has always been on point!!! My gf loves their steaks and their chicken fried steak. I typically just get the buffets. The only time I've had an issue with their buffet was on seafood night, their blackened fish was more like jerky and super salty. I tried them another day and it was super fresh and great!! I love their crawfish night, always has good flavor, little on the spicy side (have bad heartburn) but overall delicious!!! read more

Maybe if I'd never been to a restaurant anywhere else, this might be acceptable. But the salad bar was wilted, the catfish was crispy but tasted like mud. The ice cream tasted so artificial, I couldn't eat it. The places is dated, dirty and in any other location would be on its last legs. Who knows? Maybe it already is. I've just found my new favorite restaurant. Super simple. Looks like maybe a meeting y'all but you must go there. Are you looking for great, homemade, American style, slap your momma, comfort food? No? Are you crazy? Nevermind, it's just me always seeking mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese. What you get at Lea's is a Monstrous buffet for $9.95 with such delicious diner type food I'm ready to drive back there right now. They're closed but I will go anyhow and wait. We were there for a function and as we were leaving they were adding more scrumptious fried foods to the buffet. Did I mention cherry pineapple crisp? And top that with soft serve ice cream. Let me make it clear, not fancy, not elegant. Super delicious. Homey. Fabulous, friendly staff. Mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak, ribs and Mac & cheese all for $9.95. Oh and pizza. Go there. Good for a Buffett. We've been twice so far. Once on sea food night and one mid week. Both evenings had a decent choice of food. l Love all the different salad bar items. Kids always managed to find something to eat. Waitstaff is hit or miss on service. A couple times I had to get up to ask for a drink refill. Pretty good for the most part, we will be back. read more

Lea's has a friendly staff and the food actually taste like it was home cooked at you mama's house. We went for lunch and the Buffett was chicken fried steak, catfish, mashed potatoes (that were awesome!), corn, greens, etc. They also had a pizza bar and a very well stocked salad bar. I told my boyfriend that everything I tried was great and I would like to start coming here regularly. We live about 20 mins north and we would consider driving to Lea's a few times a week to eat. read more

Best catfish we have had in a while, and the new mashed potatoes and corn was great. The apple cobbler desert was a nice finish.

This place is a well hidden gem. Love to stop by Leonard for lunch and drive out of my way to go there. The salad buffet is always fresh and good quality. We were in the area doing out LTC classes and were starved by the end of it. My boyfriend had always seen Lea's while in Leonard seeing family but had never stopped by. He was very disappointed that we stopped. Service was meh. Greeted promptly, told to pick a seat and then it started to go downhill. We had multiple servers trying to wait on us, which confused everyone and irritated my significant other. After the third waiter came by, there was somewhat of an argument between the second and third about our appetizer, drinks and whose table it would be. I wasn't annoyed by this but my boyfriend was obviously annoyed. My boyfriend ordered nachos for an appetizer which was our second big mistake (after coming here). Once they came out, my boyfriend discussed just getting up and leaving. They were the thinnest tortilla chips ever, probably from a bag who knows. They were chips with canned jalapenos and some diced tomatoes and cheese (not queso but normal cheese) microwaved. Must have been microwaved because it was SO HOT when it came out. I could barely pick up a chip. There was nothing to the cheese, just cheese. And it was $7!? What the hell? My chicken friend steak sandwich cost about the same as these microwaved chips. The chicken fried steak sandwich was alright. Nothing I would write home about. I asked for mayo and lettuce on it (no tomato), our server came back about 5 min after ordering asking if I wanted anything on it and what kind of bread. Obviously no one had started my meal after ordering when there was literally 2 other tables in there and that's it. I picked dried on crud off the table with my fingernail while we waited. As for the meal, I got the chicken fried steak sandwich (hard to fuck up, right?) and my boyfriend got a burger. He got MAYBE a handful of tots with his burger and my sandwich came with zero side. I wish I had a heads up about it because I just figured that it would come with a side like fries. I was wrong. They super skimped on the mayo, I had to check and make sure it was actually there. And the lettuce was shredded iceberg and I got a big 'ol chunk of the heart in there that was ball shaped and obviously did not stay on my sandwich. It was disappointing and made my face feel greasy af all day afterwards. His burger he said was okay. For $25 for two people to eat, this was the worst $25 we ever spent. We ate an AMAZING breakfast the next day for $25 which made us feel even worse about stopping at Lea's. read more

They are lucky I gave them 1 star. Absolutely suck at making food. The waiter always gets the orders wrong. My family and I waited for about an hour and a half to get our food. Would not recommend this place at all! By the time the food got to us it was cold and not correct. If your looking to fill up, then this is your place! The buffet is usually good and the quality is mediocre. I made the mistake of going on "seafood night". It was horrible and it wouldn't pass for cat food. They were stingy with the things on the bar that most people would typically come for( shrimp, crab legs, etc). When the food actually made it to the bar it was bad. Nothing worse than old, bad, seafood. If your going to sell food it better be good, all the time, every time! A smallish daily buffet that is packed with a good variety of vegetables and meats. Southern style cooking. A salad bar and pizza bar are available too. I have always liked Lea's until today. Food was good and our waitress was awesome; however, the bartender told one person we were with he could not have a large styrofoam cup for a to go drink when we already had 3. We spent $250 for ten of us and she said we would have to buy another drink to get the large to go drinks. The restaurant was not that busy but the bartender, once again, asked if we were done and if we were, we needed to leave because she needed the table. The people she set at our table had already been seated and had 8 other seats beside them. We will not go back unless she no longer works there. read more

This place is awesome! I had the Swiss Pig Burger, a true gourmet burger with you guessed it, Swiss cheese and a generous portion of ham atop a perfectly cooked 1/2 pound beef patty. Stopped there a little before 2 today. My mom ordered buffet and my dad and I ordered meals with salad bar. They didn't bother to tell my mom that they shut the buffet down at 2. My mom who had double knee replacement asked me to go get her more food before they closed it down so I did. My daddy's food came out so burnt he couldn't eat it. They said since he didn't get a meal (because it was burnt) they couldn't charge him add on price of $2.99 for the salad but had to charge him the full salad bar price if $6.99. Then a blonde lady (term used loosely) starts yelling at me telling me I ate from the buffet so they should charge me more! I never ate one thing from the buffet only got the food for my mom!
