It didn't really give "red velvet" flavor like I expected. However, that bourbon cream cheese? 10/10. Easily the best part of the meal. Smooth, flavorful, and it definitely elevated the waffle more than the waffle did itself. Now the wings. They were jumbo wings (which I don't normally go for), and they were almost a burnt crispy and hard to pull apart. I ordered lemon pepper with sweet honey sauce, but I didn't receive the sweet honey sauce. As someone from the South who takes chicken seriously, I was hoping for bold lemon pepper flavor throughout. Unfortunately, most of the seasoning seemed to stay on the outside, and the actual chicken inside was very bland. I'm a big chicken fan, so it was disappointing that I couldn't even finish them. Overall, I was really looking forward to trying this place, but based on this experience, it just wasn't for me. This is only my personal opinion and experience and I was disappointed and wasted money.

One way I like to judge smoked meats is if you can enjoy it without any sauce. IMO good BBQ is about the meat not the sauce. This brisket is awesome alone and my wife prefers it that way. I use a small amount of sauce if I make it a sandwich. Very easy to prepare. I boil the water and drop it in for about 10 minutes. Could also be microwaved. I was having a hard time finding catering options that were suitable for what we were looking for... until I stumble across this place with no reviews on yelp. Michael and Julie are the loveliest people I've had the pleasure to work with for getting catering set up and ordered. Not only are they extremely flexible but they also have great suggestions on what they could do to accommodate our group. They were also able to do delivery and set up for me, which was great!!! Pricing is right on point too. We ended up ordering: chopped smoked brisket and chile lime chicken street tacos, elote (mexican corn), potato salad, coleslaw and some queso on the side. Street taco order also included all the sides like salsa, chips, sour cream etc. Can I just take a moment here to just say wow???? I couldn't stop eating the mexican corn, as well as the brisket and queso all night (no lie, if I had the option, I would have taken these back with me but I had an early flight the next morning!). If you have any hesitations about booking this place for your next event, don't! I'm sad that I'm back in California now and can't order from Country Crafted for all my events here :).
