We waited about 45 minutes on a 20 minute quote and eventually I went to sit right beside the hostess stand with my toddler bc it was getting long and they seated us quickly after that. Our server was very friendly and happy to make recommendations. We went with the fresh biscuit of the day - which was a delicious peach cornmeal served sliced and warmed. I chose to order the chicken breakfast biscuit sandwich and my husband had the corned beef hash. This spot has been feeding people since 1974, and you'll understand why in one bite. The lobster roll is the move, dressed simply so nothing gets in the way of the sweetness. It's a fraction of what you'd pay at a sit-down spot on the harbor. There's no dining room, just a few picnic tables scattered around the lot. It's not fancy. It's wonderful. It's the kind of stop that makes a long drive to Bar Harbor feel like part of the trip instead of an obstacle to it. Grab a roll and find a table in the shade.
