Just to compare - a different company asked me to email the list of items and gave me a quote based on that. All measurements and weights were off and their quote came almost to a bill that I had to pay for my move across the country. Eileen from Olympic Moving came to our apartment to personally look at our belongings. We got a decent quote and both Eileen and Catrina were very helpful with scheduling the move. At the actual moving day movers arrived 45 mins early. But that was ok, we were ready to be done with it asap. There were 2 guys. They did not waste their time. Disassembling, loading and unloading went pretty fast. I was impressed when Robert lifted heavy wooden table top with his bare hands (no gloves) and carried it to the truck. I also had an electric piano, that I was worried about. I was that annoying customer hovering over their shoulders watching them wrap and move it. If you get Robert as your mover - you are in good hands. The move was smooth and faster than scheduled. The company charges hourly, so we paid based on how many hours the crew worked. I don't know what axe the vicious reviewer has to grind, but I urge anyone considering storing their belongings at Prolock to do so with the greatest of confidence. Nothing was said about the special deal not being available for the larger space. After I was billed for the 2nd month rent - called & disputed due to promise of 2nd month free & was told that the special only applied to "new" customers. I explained I was a new customer because I never moved anything into the smaller unit (10' x 20'). Public Storage referred me to "corporate" customer service which was not helpful. They have refused to honor the inducement of 2nd month free. Get any promises in writing BEFORE you move all your stuff in.

I was told the rent is based on "market analysis"; some vague formula involving how much demand there is, market fluctuations, moon phases and a bunch of other lies that boiled down to them knowing moving your stored items is such a hassle that you'll just cave and stay. Any of these 5 star ratings are bots or payed for. Anytime the ratings are only 5 stars or 1 star, beware. The only redeeming quality is the units on Stoll Rd. in Olympia WA are kept clean.

Happily, I found out there were no long term contracts. When I called to ask what I needed to do for move-out, it was so easy. Just empty, leave it unlocked, and inform the office. I cleaned it out the same day/evening, and before I even left the parking lot, they were in doing a final cleaning. Johnnie on the Spot! Really efficient. When I called the office the next morning, they had already me removed from the system so I would not incur another monthly charge. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
