Good customer service and 24 hour access. No electricity in the storage rooms so you can't run a meth lab here :P

I researched for weeks before deciding on this location for storage. There were 2 main reasons I…read morechose this facility, as there were 3 other locations closer to my home. The first was that they had 24/7 access. It says right on the outside of the building - no question about it. They also let me know upon registering that as long as I used my card, there was 24/7 access. Perfect! The other reason I chose them was they said they had great security, you need a card to enter and the unit would have 24/7 camera monitoring. I moved the majority of my stuff in and went back 1 week later with the rest to find the lock had been forcibly cut off and the unit opened. I called the office to let them know my unit had been broken into. They didn't seem surprised and when I asked about the security, they told me that the cameras weren't actually aimed AT my unit, so there was nothing they could do. They said I could drive over to their office (a few miles away) to get a new lock though. They also said they would add a camera so they could keep an eye on my unit. (Which they never did) I got the new lock, then went back about a week later to check on my unit to make sure it hadn't been broken into again. At that visit, I found the front doors had been completely ripped off the tracks and anyone could just walk in and out of the units. Still no camera. It took about a week to fix the doors. Each time I had gone to the unit, there were sketchy people hanging around inside and outside the units, a few times I was even approached by these people, they asked if I wanted to purchase bicycles, etc. I felt unsafe as a female going to the unit alone and had to wait for my boyfriend to go with me, which left evenings as he worked weekends and I worked during the week days. A few months later, I needed to put some items into my unit. I had to wait until he was off work, which was no big deal since they were open 24 hours, 7 days a week. It happened to be a Sunday afternoon and just as we pulled in, it started to rain on my items in the back of my truck. I ran inside to open the garage door and was met by a very rude employee telling me that I was unable to access my unit because they were closing in 15 minutes. I said wait.. you're open 24 hours! He said no, we close at 5 on Sundays now and 7 during the week. I never received any notice of this.. I told him that I had 3 things to put into my unit, would take 5 minutes and it had just started to rain. He refused to let me, even though now at this point, I still had 10 minutes before they closed. He said he wanted to leave on time and refused to open the garage door. By now, my boyfriend had come in to see why I wasn't opening the door. I told him and he tried to get the guy to open the door, but he still refused. We ended up having to take the stuff all the way home in the rain. I snapped a picture of the outside of the building where it stated in 2 foot tall lettering OPEN 24/7 and then called their office. They said that they now close early unless I wanted to pay an additional fee for the 24/7 access. I made numerous calls to try to talk to a regional manager, only to be transferred to voicemail each time. I talked to the store manager once, but he sounded so high that it was difficult to have any sort of conversation with him. I asked for his supervisor and was transferred to voicemail yet again. Needless to say, I immediately started looking for a new facility and have since moved my stuff out. I would definitely NOT recommend this place and if I could give it negative stars, I would.
