Believe all of the hype from the reviews as this business is truly deserves more than 5 stars. Stupid me scratched and crap out of the right rear door my 11 year old Lexus SUV. There was already a poorly patched up dent from the previous own (I bought used). Seeing that it's just best to re-do the whole door I went around to auto body shops to get estimates. Seeing that I'm a woman that looks young and naive, I got estimates for work that were absolutely not necessary to fix the door. The entire time I reiterated that it was an older car and it wasn't necessary for it to look cherry or perfect. But, the shops didn't care. Frustrated, I came to Todd at Bay Auto Body. From the get-go Todd was helpful, knowledgable, and honest. The options he offered me were completely reasonable and ultimately he went out of his way to take the time to find the best solution for the fix. The work was done quickly and my rear car door looks better than when I first bought it! I could not have been happier with the work as well as the overall service from Bay Auto Body. It's a real workshop--honest, hardworking, and run by people who are the salt of the earth. Tod is a master of color. I still remember years ago when he had me bring in my 2010 Lexus at 8:30 AM sharp just so he could match the paint under the specific angle of the morning sun. You just don't find that kind of obsession with perfection anymore. Most recently, while working on my Acura, he uncovered a massive layer of old Bondo hidden under the paint from a previous owner's hack job that I never even knew existed (even though it was a CPO car!). Todd and his crew do excellent work and are experts at color matching. He's painted a few trim pieces that I wanted to color match on my 2018 GMC Sierra. The last job he did for me was to paint the roof, and two passenger side doors on my 20 year old GMC yukon. From seeing repaints in other cars from different shops in certain light you can see where they fogged the paint while blending. I now know why this place has consistent 5 star reviews. I went to the shop at 8am to get a quote on hit & run damage to my vehicle. I did not want to make an insurance claim due to the possibility of my rates going up. I met with Todd who explained all the options. He tried to locate a door with the approximate color and possibility that it would have to be painted to match the rest of the car. Todd took his time looking for a door he thought would be a close match with no promises. He explained the complete price break down of all the possibilities. Had a damaged front bumper on my 2000 For Taurus. Was referred to Bay Auto by my mechanic. Best advice he could have given me. Estimate was done by I believe Nick as Todd was on vacation. As the vehicle was 24 years old I thought it might be hard to find a replacement. Nick checked and found one at what I thought was an amazingly low price. All options were explained to me in full with advice on which way I should go with my decision. The bumper arrived in about a week. I dropped the car off in the morning and the job was completed by noon the next day. Todd called me and said give him an hour so he could have it washed and detailed. He even buffed out my dulled headlight lenes. This, is by far the best service I have ever received any auto shop in my 50 years of driving! read more

Great experience working with Todd at Bay Auto Body! He started the estimate right away, kept me well informed throughout the whole process, and the work was done quicker than expected. I won't say how long it took because bodywork and paint aren't quick easy jobs and shops can easily get behind when they're busy. There was also extra requirements with insurance and he handled all of it and kept me fully advised, no surprises. Accidents are no fun. The owner's name is Todd and he is legit. My dad was the person who put me onto his work. This guy is a no frills kinda dude, he takes his work seriously and is highly skilled. My car was fixed in a matter of days I had a mirror replacement, hubcap relplacement and a quarter panel fixed. He's so dedicated to his craft it's almost contagious. His shop has been there for quite some time and he's also done repair work for my father, as stated. The reason I'm leaving the review is because he went above and beyond to fix a piece inside my door that rolls up the window. Above and beyond - its that simple. I had the dubious honor of getting hit twice in one month. The first time I took our Toyota to one of the shops recommended by our insurance. The second however was my Porsche C4S. I spoke to the local Porsche experts and they recommended Bay Auto Body. Unlike many of the chains around, there is no fancy office. No waiting room. No onsite insurance adjusters or coffee. Just Todd and his team of experts. The office looks like...an auto shop. Todd is completely on top of his game, from working with insurance and rental car agencies to assembling/managing the experts to get the best possible results. They worked on many of items that were not related to the accident, managed all the work and costs for other vendors, and even got costs down wherever possible.
