Best prices in town. Batteries are way cheaper here than AAA and car dealerships. I got a new battery for $89.95 that included installation. I pulled my car into their garage, a guy popped my hood, got me a new battery, I walked to the counter to pay. By the time I signed the receipt, my new battery was already installed. Literally, I was there for less than 10 minutes. I LOVE EFFICIENCY! Best part: 5 year warranty on the battery. Doesn't get better than this folks. Support local! read more

Excellent fast service and you can't beat the price of the battery. All that and free installation.

I saw Ace n called n Moe was very helpful. He and his crew were professional in changing out battery in my Lexus.

Been coming here for years for all of our vehicles. Always great service and I am very happy with Battery Mart. The mechanic Tyler is super helpful. Thank you! read more

I've had slow and struggling car starts since sunday, and my battery finally went dead this morning when I was going to head to work. I took my battery out and brought it in for a replacement. Initially I got a wrong battery size, it was the replacement for what I had which wasn't produced anymore but didn't fit dimensionally within my car. I hadn't mentioned my car though, only the old battery size # I was bringing in. Owner was very understanding, told me to jump it with the mis-sized battery, and I drove it over to the shop to get the size I needed. No extra charge at all for the install, and I even got money back for the new battery being cheaper. Will definitely remember this place. read more

Battery stopped working in 3-4 years. Called to learn about warranty, very rude customer service.

Previously had my other car's battery replaced at Battery Mart and it was a quick and friendly service. Came in today when another car's battery appeared to have failed, but the owner was honest and told me the battery was just fine, but it was my car's alternator that had failed. He prevented me from wasting $ on a new battery I didn't need, even though that meant the loss of a sale for him, as I had to go elsewhere to a mechanic to get the alternator replaced. But I will be back for all my battery needs! read more

Thank you so much Again YELP community. Car batteries are one of those things you discover when everyone is dressed, in their car seats and ready to go. Found these guys and got exactly what I needed and really good price. read more

Buyer beware. I purchased a "Battery Mart" battery for my 2015 Ford Transit Connect Titanium. My original battery was over 4 years old, and after leaving the car parked for 5 day, it was turning over very slowly. I paid $99 for replacement battery and another $100 for the installation - so about $209 with tax. I'm a retiree and drive part time for UBER 3-4 mornings a week. The Battery Mart battery never fully felt charged, and I had to call AAA to jump-start me before I purchased a portable jumper battery(AAA only gives you a limited amount of jumps). I called Don(the owner of Battery Mart less than a week after buying his battery. He claimed his battery eas fine, even though I had my mechanic check my car and test the battery(load test, etc.). After a few more days of my car barely starting and days of my car's computer wigging out, I finally told him I'd happily pay for the more expensive, INTERSTATE battery he is a dealer for. I agreed to pay the additional $69 - $15 of wcich were for a "core" trade in, even though I had originally given him my old battery! I also waited for the Interstate battery to be switched out, which took no more than 20 minutes - which means his original charge of $100 to switch out my battery amounted to being charged about $300 an hour for that installation. And the icing on the cake - the original replacement battery was a basic, sealed, no maintenance battery. The replacement INTERSTATE battery was an old school lead/acid type battery that you gave to keep checking the water levels on. Who knew these were even manufactured anymore? So that's my experience with Battery Mart in Costa Mesa, and that's why I say, "BUYER BEWARE". read more

Top notch operation these guys are running here. Got a $289 quote from the service dept. of the dealership where I bought my car and instead took it to Battery Mart where they had a new battery installed and paid for in about 7 minutes for $119 out the door. This is the 3rd battery I've bought from Battery Mart and the experience has been outstanding each and every time. read more

BEYOND FABULOUS! Believe all the 5* reviews - super quick, kind, great pricing. Installation included and 5 year warranty. They saved me $300. Don't go anywhere else! read more

Went to Battery Mart Inc. Off of Victoria and Newport BLVD this morning to get scooter batteries. The owner was very nice and let me know it was just bad connections. The batteries were free. He tightened the connections for free and let me charge the batteries for 45 min so I could use my scooter while I run errands today. We originally bought the batteries from them. They also had good customer service the first time we went 10 months ago. Highly recommend. Family owned. read more

Great prices but come at your own risk. The young "mechanic" didn't properly place the cables back onto my battery and messed up other stuff in my car in the process of putting in the new battery read more

Courteous. Professional. Friendly. Knowledgeable. Old-school excellence. Great pricing for all the batteries you could possibly need under the sun. Proud to support this local business! Thanks Don! read more

Great guys. Pulled in, changed battery and had me on my way in about 15 minutes. Less than half the price of my dealer.

Awesome group here! They are honest and here to help! Install and purchase! Defiantly come here for al your battery needs! 5 stars over and over read more

This place is the legit! Lexus tried to charge me a ridiculous price to change my battery claiming that hybrid cars use a special battery that they can only source. When I arrived, the technicians said it's a standard battery and saved me about $500. In and out within 5 minutes. Support local! read more

I got the battery I needed at a fair price. The owner had and has the worse customer service skills I've ever experienced. I worked in the retail business for 20 years and run a business that deals with new clients daily......this guy is horrible. I asked him about the warranty and he said he didn't know.....I told him it was 4 years for the Odyssey Extreme batteries (over $400 btw). He began to explain that "if this and if that" the warranty would be voided. I've used batteries for my boats for over 40 years and know how to take proper care of them. This guy was rude from the get go and I would never send anyone his way.....avoid this place at all costs! He doesn't deserve your $ or business read more

Made a last minute appointment and I was in and out in under 5 minutes. They're cheaper than Costco, O'Reileys and other places, but also include installation and a 5 year warranty! read more

If you need a battery and are anywhere close to this place, you gotta check them out. I stopped by because I needed a new battery for my boat and they had me out of there in no time. They have a ton of sizes in stock, are friendly and helpful in getting you what you need, and the prices are the most competitive around. That's my kind of shop. read more

Had a battery go bad... Battery Mart replaced it and honored the warranty. Good old boys!

This place is awesome! I was literally in and out in around 5 minutes. These guys don't mess around. They have the absolute best prices compared to every other possible mechanic that changes battery's! I looked around for a while and these guys beat everyone else's price by a whole lot! I don't have a lot of money right now so these they really did help me out a lot! Thank you, Battery Mart! read more

Excellent service and they have most any and every automotive battery you could ever desire. Been shopping there for years and always got a good long lasting battery. They also have many other types of batteries for applications other than cars. read more

Owner is knowledgeable and always does a great job. Only place to get your battery replaced.

Indeed they deserve the five star! I was going to buy a battery with three year warranty from Costco, trusting that it's the best price. Just as I was wondering how I could find a parking space on a Friday in front of Costco and let my car run while I go inside and buy the battery a friend called and told me about the battery Mart. Finally found a parking space and gave them a call and found out that I can buy the same battery at least $21 cheaper with no installation fee and a five year warranty. The best part was when I went to battery Mart, The guy installed my battery in less than five minutes and I was out of there. Excellent service and price. Thanks Don! read more

Great service. Was in and out in 15 minutes. They new exactly what battery I needed. Will definitely be back

I called this guy to ask him if he can recharge deep cycle batteries which I plan to purchase. During our conversation it came up that I plan to buy from Amazon. He got an attitude that why am I calling him, a small business owner with questions if I buy from Amazon, because he charges only five dollars for a recharge. I told him I do not care if he charges twenty, I'll pay whatever is the cost, saying I am missing his point. Well, I did not, except the only point he missed is four stars to the one star I gave. What an anal person! read more

Best deserved yelp review I have ever written. Came in today because my battery was totally dead and corroded, got a jumpstart and then brought the car to the garage but lo and behold the terminal was corroded and the gentleman could not get the terminal off my battery. He literally had to take a Dremel and remove the terminal, as you can see by sparks in the picture. It took him 45 minutes and at the end of it and he didn't even complain. They went above and beyond for what I should have paid. And they were almost half of what AAA was. Needless to say I will forever get my batteries at Battery Mart! read more

My wife had a low battery while she was visiting our daughter at the beach and I told her to go the nearest Battery Mart since the battery was less than 12 months old and was purchased at our local Battery Mart with a free replacement for 24 months. They charged her $108.70 for a new battery. Completely ripped her off. They are dishonest and took advantage of a woman. Shame on them. Stay away from this business. read more

I called ahead because I have a first generation Prius that many are not comfortable working on and don't have the correct battery for but to my surprise they had exactly what I needed! When I got there I was able to pull straight in and they immediately got to work. Always great service and honest pricing , I have been a customer for over 20 years. Friendly and reliable

This is an outstanding and reputable business. I worked with Don on getting a new battery. Prices are very reasonable, and they offer a 5 year warranty. I have not seen that warranty at any auto parts stores or even off the AAA truck. Don was friendly and very helpful. He tested my old battery, removed and replaced it in about 5-10 minutes. My experience could not have been better. Only thing to keep in mind is they do close at 5pm instead of 6pm during the winter months. read more
