Technician installing was outstanding, price and value were good. I would normally DIY a battery change, but in this case the battery was located under the driver's seat and a real pain to switch out (I had done once before). I would definitely use 1-800-Battery again. I thought about knocking off a star because original appointment window was missed ... by a day. We are sort of out in the country (it's half an hour to nearest shops or gas stations) so it's not unusual for deliveries to be late so I'll let it slide this time :-) read more

The purchase of the battery (with the installation included) online was very easy. It was priced affordability and seemed to be a great deal. The tech arrived in a timely manner and completed the job in less than a half hour. There's only one thing that concerns me. Where's the 24 month warranty in case I need it? Booked an appointment around 3:45 pm to get the car battery replaced. Immediately got confirmation that they're waiting for a technician. Then nothing. 4 hours later, nothing. Tried calling, their customer service was closed for the day. 5:30 am they emailed saying "no eta. still waiting on a technician". 3.5 hours later, still nothing. Finally contacted customer service to just cancel. I had an important doctor appointment, I can't sit and wait and wait and wait. At least cancellation was easy. But definitely won't give them a try in the future. read more

I am not happy with 800 battery. I am 67 years old; I've been driving and servicing cars for 50 (Fifty) years. I have replaced many batteries in many cars. I decided to give 800battery a try strictly for convenience . That turned into a big mistake.  After reviewing batteries for my car, I decided to go with Deka brand; the reviews were good. I was given an 8:00 am till 10:00am window for installation, no one showed up till after 2:30.  I noticed the installer was installing an AC Delco battery that he assured me was just as good. Yea right. After checking reviews online, and on consumer reports the AC Delco is rated much lower than the Deka that I was expecting.  I called customer service and got nothing but a runaround. She told me that according to their website, you may receive a different battery brand than ordered. Nothing like ordering and paying for a Chevy, and a Buick gets delivered with a like it or not attitude After 10 min on the phone the final straw was, I asked her to email me a printout for my records that show exactly what battery was installed, that shows the date, order number, cost, etc that I keep for my records. She couldn't or wouldn't do it. I'm done. I will not be using or recommending 800 battery. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience. When purchasing the battery online, I specifically selected installation service. After noticing installation was not reflected on the receipt and receiving text messages that the "driver" was picking up my battery that day, I contacted customer support through the website chat that same evening to confirm the scheduled delivery and installation day/time. I have screenshots of that conversation confirming both services. The morning of the scheduled appointment, I contacted support again to confirm scheduled delivery time for the battery and installation and was then told that installation was never purchased and that I would need to pay approximately $215 more for installation. I also have screenshots of that conversation. What makes this more concerning is that this battery was replacing the previous battery this same company installed less than six months ago which was only $228 for battery and installation. The inconsistent information between representatives, combined with the last-minute change in pricing and service, left me scrambling on the day of delivery to ensure I would be able to use my car. read more

I had been driving my 2020 Mustang (which is now totaled). In the meantime, I let the battery in my Ford Edge die. I tried jumping the battery, but it is dead-dead. I put in an order to 1800Batteries at 2p on Sunday knowing they wouldn't be able to process until first AM on Monday. I checked the status by 930 am and the status was the same as Sunday afternoon. I opened a chat and they called me. They told me they only had one technician for all the suburbs south of Atlanta. They were going to check to see if the technician could come between 2-5 which is what worked for me. I never heard back from them. After an hour I got onto the chat and cancelled the order. I wonder when it would have been scheduled or if at all if I had not called. Terribly disappointing. Now I am stuck in a pickle. read more

I was pleased with my service from Tyrell. He was great even tho initial contact was not smooth by company. Not his fault. My only concern is the battery is an H6 and the old BMW battery I had was an H7. Although it has the cranking power, im not 100% sure it is secure because it is smaller. My son is using our car and the battery needed replaced. He was willing to ride his bike to a store and get a new battery. I wanted to make it easier. I found 1-800-Battery through Google. The website said it could be delivered that day, but my phone locked up trying to complete the order. I called and the dispatcher was able to take care of my order over the phone and he had a new battery installed in 3 hours. I was in one town, my son in another. The Dispatcher and Technician kept constant contact. This was one of those situation where price didn't matter as much as time. I got emails confirming everything , that a technician had been selected, all felt good. On the day of the appointment, nothing. 8am, 9am , 10am ..... no email, no text. Finally, after wasting the entire morning waiting, I call. The technician can't be reached, we'll get back to you. Then, he'll be there in 45 minutes.
