Fabulous. Friendly. Helpful. Motor Vehicle Inspection. One of my stickers was not on correctly and they fixed it for me.

I purchased my first Prius from them a few years ago and I loved it!! Never gave me any issues and worked amazingly. Last time I took my car with them to get my old car shocks replaced they recommended me to get the catalytic cover since they have been getting stolen. I was so confident that it wouldn't happened to me but unfortunately it did. I contacted my insurance and this shop to have my car fix as soon as possible because I can't be without a car. The shop was amazing they handled everything with my insurance and kept me informed of everything that was happening with the process. Unfortunately the insurance deemed my car a total loss. But despite that this amazing shop didn't let me down. They helped me find a new Toyota Prius newer year with GPS and back up camera. And although I loved my 2004 Prius I am IN LOVE with my new 2013 Prius. This shop is my to go to whenever I need an oil change and the rare times that my car has needed some fixing or upgrades. I would HIGHLY recommend them if you need to get something fixed in your electric car. They are professional offer great reasonable prices and are there to help you out. read more

Our well used and loved 2012 Prius C with 187,000 miles finally lost its battery system after many years and miles of use. We considered selling it to a recycler but I did some online research and found that the battery could be replaced. After talking to a couple of service companies, I decided to use Hybrid Auto Tech and we are glad we did. Juan, was professional and easy to deal with and he explained our options. For a couple of thousand dollars we could get a new battery pack or for $900 we could get a rebuilt system with a one year, 16,000 mile warranty. Due to the already high mileage on the car, we decided on the rebuilt battery. The car also was long overdue for a service so we had a complete tune up and oil change along with the battery service all for $1485. Juan recommended a water pump as well, but advised since we only are using the car for around town and short trips we could hold off on that. I appreciated the good communication, reasonable pricing and overall very good service. Let's hope our little car can go another year at least and maybe even more. If you need work done on your hybrid car, call Juan at Hybrid Auto Tech. read more

They will charge you $900 for a so called refurbished battery. How well the battery is done is questionable to say the least. I've had to come back multiple times within a year because the battery cells went out. Kept my vehicle for days without saying anything about what was going on. Terrible communication as far as what's actually going on with the battery. I seriously doubt they actually did any work my last visit. Just a call a few days later "I guess your car is ready". Give me a break! 4 months left on warranty and they literally didn't do anything. I'm out time and money and I've been coming here for a couple years. Last time. Pay a bit more somewhere else for a lifetime warranty read more

This company was nice to my daughter, Summer Knowles, until their equipment failed and they didn't follow through with their promise to make it right. I am still hopeful they will come through and return her calls and keep the promise they made... verbally and by text. 3/15/2020 - I am happy to report that the company came through and took the time to address my daughter's issues. The car seems to be in great shape and my daughter is satisfied; at no additional cost to her. Thank you read more

I bought my 2005 Prius at a Police Auction it had over 170,000 miles body and interior was in good condition. When driving the car home the dash lite up like a Christmas tree and the car started to drive really slow like something was wrong with the trasmission. When I got home I immediately started to do some research as to what could be the problem, everything came back HV battery. I found a couple places on Yelp and the closest one to me was Hybrid Auto Tech. I called and talked to Juan and Danny, they were very professional with answering my questions over the phone they assured me it sounded like a HV battery problem quoted me a price that included diagnosis and installation and 1 yr warranty. I decided to drive the car to them so they could check it out to find out that the battery wasn't the only thing wrong. Danny took the time to explain to me what other problems they found and it sounded worse than what they quoted me to fix. I am please with the service received from the guys at Hybrid Auto Tech, I recommend all Hybrid owners to give them a try. read more

We received the recommendation for this shop from a family friend and they did not disappoint. We knew our car had issues but had been putting it off due to the dealership costs for the repairs and replacements. Hybrid Auto Tech was very fair, and their workmanship was above board and the team kept us up to date through the whole process. Brought our car back up to awesome condition and when we had questions afterwords we got quick responses back. read more

STAY AWAY FROM here if you're looking to fix your hybrid battery STAY AWAY, I paid $900 for a refurbished battery with a 1 year warranty and I kid you not I had to go back for them to "fix it" more then 10 times within the 6 months or less, ITS A SCAM they don't really tell you wants wrong with your car or try actually find the problem they just want your money so I really DONT recommend anyone to come here trust me I'm saving you a lot of time and Money. If I could give them no stars I would. read more

Great service for my Prius. They installed a cat shield and shocks and struts for my car. Very good prices. Highly recommended.

$900 for a refurbished battery with a one year warranty isn't bad and they had it ready the same day. I did have to go back shortly after because there was a bad cell but they took care of it. read more

Prius was having issues starting and after jump starting it wouldn't retain a charge. Brought it in, they ran diagnostics and found that 12v battery was only at 6v. Bought new battery from them which they promptly replaced. Straight forward folks, would recommend. read more

This place is so shady. My brother had the battery rebuilt by them for $900 and it was under warranty for two years. A few months before the two year mark, I took my car back to have it repaired, since the IMA light came back on. I also had them put on an O2 sensor. I bought the O2 sensor and they charged me to put it on. The guy who "fixed it" told me I could borrow another car to go to the Starbucks yo the street for about an hour while he worked on it. When I came back, he turned my car on, and the IMA light was no longer on. He told me that some fuses in the hybrid battery were blown or something like that, and that he fixed it. I went on my my way, and when I needed my car to pass smog, some codes were coming up and it wouldn't passq. I took my car to another mechanic, since I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't pass smog. Another mechanic scanned the car for me, and told me that the IMA light had been tampered with and that it should be on. Also they told me I needed an O2 sensor and they replaced it there. My brother took apart my dash board and found a piece of electrical tape over the IMA light was left there by the guy at Hybrid Auto tech, so that he wouldn't have to actually fix my battery that was under warranty. Now, my car won't pass smog and I have to probably pay for another new battery just so I can keep my car. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! THEY ARE CRIMINALS! read more

These shady a** mechanics fixed my hybrid battery for $900 before I sold the car to my sister. The IMA light came on shortly after, while the repair job was still under warranty. I told my sister where to take it to get it repaired under warranty, but instead of fixing anything they took apart the dashboard and put electrical tape over the IMA light and engine light. We didn't find this out until later, when she tried to get it smogged. She also paid these guys to change an O2 sensor, which she brought in, and I have no doubt they never put that on either. read more

I bought a refurbished battery a few months ago the red triangle light came on again but the battery was working fine so I took it back and they told me I the battery was bad and the man who sold it to me told me it had a 5 month warranty and now they switched it to 3 and they still charged me 60 for the diagnos. Don't waste your time and money here read more

After doing some internet research on "WHO'S WHO" in the hybrid battery service field out here in Long Beach - I came across the guys at BATTERY DOCTORS. After going down and meeting up with Leo & Marcelino - everything was explained to me, and I was pretty happy with their prices :o) The BEST thing was that these guys do try for the OVER-SELL (charging you for things you DON'T need) and just do a complete and professional job! I was told by several "other" hybrid battery service places that I would have to REPLACE my batteries - however I was HAPPY & SUPRISED when they were able to repair it, rather than replacing them! THanks again guys for saving me $$$$$$ :o) I would definitely recommend them to ALL owners of HYBRIDS...! Robert read more

They will try to rip u off! They lied to me about my car engine when my car was running fine they hounded me telling me I needed a new engine something told me to have someone else look at it car started in one hour these guys are POS! read more

Best hybrid auto shop ever!!! Been here twice and had excellent service here. They do an amazing job and excellent customer service!!!

Danny was really great with my Toyota Prius. I had to get a new engine put in. He had a used engine with low mileage and got it installed in less than 3 days. He was also very prompt on responding to any text messages I sent him. I'm very happy and recommend Hybrid Auto Tech very much! read more

Very professional and responsive when you have any questions I have already bought 3 batteries from them and have sent couple of friends

Was referred to these guys trying to get my car smogged. Leo and his team are great! Not only did they give me a really good price for my 2005 Civic, but he replaced the battery on the spot no waiting and no hassles whatsoever. Seriously, if you need your hybrid battery replaced, this is the only place to go. They refurbish and repair everything in house! read more

This place was awesome. Customer service was incredible. Brought my old Prius back to life. Thank you, you guys!!!

I have been to a lot of repair shops in my time. I have also worked on cars since I was a teenager, so I know when a repair shop is trying to rip me off. However, I've never gotten that kind of service at Hybrid Auto Tech. These guys are as honest as it gets, and they no Hybrids better than anyone out there. As long as I have a hybrid, I'm coming to these guys. My car has almost 300k miles on it because Danny and Hybrid Auto Tech helped me get there. I can't say enough. read more

Place is great! I have a 2014 Prius C and last night my car wouldn't start. Called triple A. They tried to jump it but didn't have equipment to test it. Another guy came this morning and was able to jump it. I found Hybrid Auto Tech on Yelp called them this morning said my battery died and car stunk like rotten eggs. They said I needed a new battery and could replace it. Took it in. They replaced and serviced a few things and I was back up and running. They sound like they really know Hybrids. I'll be taking my car there from now all for all my service needs. read more

have been trying to post a review for the longest time but I've been too busy with work and don't have the time. These guys are legit when it comes to hybrid cars. They do my oil change, help me fix my A/C, tells me what my cars needs and told me about my mini turbofan that I had to clean it cool down my battery. Dude, I didn't know I had a fan next to the battery, my Toyota dealer never told me about it. They even showed me how it will look if I didn't clean it. These guys are specialist when it comes to hybrids. I highly recommend going here you will not be disappointed. read more

For all of my adult life I'd been looking for a mechanic I can trust...one that won't try to upsell me on every little thing or guess at a problem and then not resolve it. It took buying a used Prius when I was 40-something to find the best. Danny & the whole crew are awesome. He has diagnosed accurately and resolved every issue quickly and for very reasonable prices. While I'm not glad my hybrid battery died just a couple years into owning the car, I am glad that it brought me to Hybrid Auto Tech. They're the best around! read more

I am very happy and greatful for the customer service here... This auto place definitely gets five stars and I will definitely come back if I need any type of services done on my hybrid.... I recommend this place! read more

I was at Battery Doctors one year ago. Recently, the check engine light went on, so I came back again. Dino is running the show now. He was very through, spent a lot of time going over the engine diagnostic codes on his dedicated computer, while explaining to me what's going on. Hybrid technology is a specialized field. He was very knowledgeable. I feel he is an honest mechanic, would answer what he knows, without trying to up-sell. Many taxi drivers take their hybrid cars (Prius, Camry, Ford) to this shop. Chatting with the cab drivers, they also give thumbs up to Dino and this shop. It's a consensus the service and work is very good, and the price is quite fair, even if some batteries can be temperamental. Dino honors the battery warranty that I purchased from his shop, so I didn't have to pay this time. That speaks a lot for integrity. I would recommend all hybrid owners come here for any concerns about their hybrid cars! read more
