Took 5 hours, while the mechanic took long smoke breaks, I counted three times at about 30 mins a pop. Then they tried to say it was $550 dollar job and they miss quoted me, but they'd be nice and only charge the 350. The front hood of my car had zero issues with staying in the upright/open position prior to bringing my car here. I get home and the hood wont stay up after the visit to this place, like wtf? I just left this shop a few minutes ago and had to pull over to do this review! My mom sent me to this shop to exchange a car battery. She instructed me not to lift it as it is a very heavy battery and I should get a man to carry it for me into the shop. When she told me this I was thinking I don't know how the heck that would work, but I did as I was told. When I arrived there was street parking so I parked on the street. When I walked into the lot there were already a few guys ahead of me. I got in line behind them. Then other customers started coming in the line behind me. In my mind I'm thinking Lord how is this going to work... The battery is in the car... I don't want to loose my spot after I've been standing her in line patiently. So, my turn is up. I go to the counter and say, "My mom sent me here with a battery but she told me not to carry it because it's heavy." I know some of the customers were probably looking like WHO IN THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS!? Lol Anyways the man didn't have an attitude or anything he just said he'll come and get it for me. He came from behind the counter and came out to the street and carried the battery for me. We did the transaction and then the new battery he carried it out to the car and put it in the trunk for me. People listen...when I say it was so moving to me. Sometimes I think there aren't many gentleman in this world. This man was so kind and he was a believer... I could tell. I wanted to cry... It was so humbling. He didn't get smart, he wasn't rude... He went above and beyond in my book to help a paying customer! I called my mom and told her what happen and everything! So disappointing! Have been get- ting batteries at Rays for 10 yrs! No complaints but not so now! They are not redoing their own batteries themselves as before & the quality has gone down so badly that this is the 3rd battery in 4 months! While they do replace it, they apparently have absolutely no respect for a customers time! Their website & phone message says they close at 2:00 pm but after driving there u find it all locked up & all they tell you it's now 1:00. I can see if it's a recent change but this has been a while. They just don't care & it shows in the lower quality of batteries! No more used batteries for me! At least not through Ray's!
