Do NOT take your car here. Horrible service and they did not fix the issue with my car. Two weeks ago, I went to an auto part store and had them do a free diagnosis on my car to see why my check engine light was on. Turns out I had a misfire code and they suggested that I needed the crank sensor, ignition coil, and another sensor replaced. I went to Rays Auto and told them exactly what I needed done. They had my car all day, and the only thing they did was replace the ignition coil. The engine light was still on. Went to get my car smog checked and it didn't pass because the same misfire code was reading on my car. So I brought it back to Rays Auto to see what needed to be fixed. One of the guys there was defensive and wanted to argue with me about why my car still had a check engine light after I told him all the events leading up to me taking the car back in for service. I only left it there again so that they could correct the problem they didn't fix THE FIRST TIME! They called me two hours later and said that the problem was one of the coils, which I thought they replaced the last time. They said it was a different one and that they would only charge me for the part to replace. Fine. So I wait another 3 hours on a job they said would only be an hour. My boyfriend decides to go down to the shop to see if the car is ready around 3:30 pm Saturday. These people were already closing up even though their business hours says they stay open until 4pm. They didn't even call us about the progress on my car, they were just going to close up shop. They told my boyfriend that the problem was fixed and that I should be able to pass my smog test now. Wrong! When I drove the car tonight, it still jerks and I still have a check engine light on. I'm not wasting any more time with this establishment. read more

I came across this place on yelp and after reading the great reviews I was glad I found this place. Unfortunately that wasn't the case once I got there. On Saturday April 14 I took my car to the shop and told one of the workers what I came for, I didn't know directly what the problem was, I'm not a mechanic so I just told him what I heard when I pressed my brakes. The worker assured me they would check the car to find the problem. They concluded the problem was my routers, the cost of "fixing the problem" was going to be 100 if I just needed them resurfaced and 140 if I needed new routers. They told me I only needed them to be resurfaced. I was happy they found the problem and the cost was relatively okay. They told me they could have me out by a certain time because I had a class. I didn't receive my car until 30 minutes after the scheduled time. By the time I got on the 110 the brakes sounded like they were going to fall out the bottom of my car. I immediately called to explain my discontent and they told me to bring the car in. First thing Monday morning I was there ready to turn my car in thinking the warranty they promised with the purchase of the service would cover what needed to be done. I received a call saying that I would need to pay an additional 100.00 dollars to replace the drums and brake pad in the back ( They only resurfaced the routers in the front) . They offered me 15 dollars off the price and I just took it because I was over the entire ordeal Today when I went to retrieve my car it still wasn't ready. It was literally on whatever object they use to hoist the car up. They had my car for 24 hours, and it was still on the lift when I came to get it. At this point I'm thinking they are just doing a quick fix. I waited so long the guy had no choice but to give me another discount. I ended up paying 165 dollars for a job that could've been done for much cheaper. I'm gravely disappointed with the wait and the run around I got. The customer service was fine but the work was horrible never going there again. read more

Bad business for us, needed some electrical work done on 81 Lincoln. Had the car for over 2 months with many excuses for delayed work. They burnt some stuff out. Got glue all on the hood and bumper. They also did not disclose any of their wrong doing to us. They gave a partial refund ,but we still came out screwed had to correct burnt wires and a paint job, cost more . read more

Horrible service stood in line for over 30 mins while numerous employees walked by and said nothing. If your plan on selling something here chances are they will not offer you more than 5-10 no matter what the part is or the advertised pay out price for example if something says up to 50 they will offer 5 it 6 dollars as a pay out price. Car Battery Heaven. Its 5:00pm on Friday and Im on the 405, in a borrowed car, attempting to make it to a place my friend told me about called "Rays Auto". I pull up at 5:30 on the dot and the gate is closed, but I see a man standing outside conversing with someone else. I ask for their attention and plead with them to sell me a battery and they do! Woooo hooo!!! I was super thankful and went on my merry way. Turns out, I was given the wrong battery. Long story short, I went back the next day, the same guy who sold me the battery, Julio, they ordered the correct battery for me because they did not have it in stock and I was evennnnn able to get it installed on the spot! I had bought a used battery from this place they installed it my car didn't start. they then gave me another use battery and it didn't work. They proceeded to give me a new battery with 450 cranking amps and my car requires 700 but it started so I left I had bought my warranty and everything a year later I go to return my battery with the recipt because it doesn't work and they're telling me it's not thir battery they gave me a hard time buying the battery and a hard time trying to replace it f*** this place you can go get you a battery for $25 on Main and 91st they worth the hassle and the line. read more

They have the best deal around for batteries if you take in your core to exchange it. I think you only pay $17 for a year warranty or $30 for a 3 year warranty. And you can exchange it any time as long as you have the original receipt. Only bad thing is that you should take your own battery tester because they have given me about 2 or 3 bad batteries. read more
