I can't say enough wonderful things about this business. Being a woman I am always Leary about having my car serviced. Not only do people attempt to take advantage of me because I'm a woman but also because I drive a Mercedes. I needed brakes and there was no way I was going to the dealership to have the replaced . So, I searched on Yelp and of course I came across a plethora of businesses but Bolles was the only one that had all five stars, I gave them a call and spoke with the owner's son (sorry i forgot his name) he was very polite, and knowledgeable. The next day o took my car to them to be serviced. I dropped it off and they called me a couple of hours later with an estimate. Yes the estimate was pricey but again he was using Merced's parts and we all know that those aren't cheap. But what I appreciated most was their honesty . He told me that the rotors on the back were shit and definitely had to be replaced but the front were fine and if the price was too much I could actually wait awhile (not forever, but a payday or two) before replacing the brakes . I thought this was the most honest expertise I had ever had with an unknown mechanic. If you want the job done right, with friendly, professional people I would recommend this business to you and anybody who needed a wheel alignment and or brakes . Hopefully I won't have to go back anytime soon but I'll definitely be recommending the to everyone I know . read more

I had an issue with my 2005 BMW 330ci after an accident. My back driver wheel was slanted after being hit by another driver. My wheel was slightly rubbing against the wheel well and couldn't drive more than 10 mph. I called Bolles Alignment and had it checked out. I was shocked of the damage my vehicle had. I got quoted a reasonable price and the service was done very quickly! I also was informed of other faulty components in my suspension and they provided quotes with estimates for future repairs. Bolles Alignment is a TREASURE! I am so pleased that found Bolles on Yelp! and decided to drive 24 miles across Los Angeles (and ask a friend a favor to twice drive there around my logistics). I have done a lot of my own mechanical work over the last 50 years, including rebuilding two engines, replacing clutches, etc. A few months ago, the inside front tires began wearing quickly on my 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid with 250,000 miles. Having been making clunky noises over bumps and potholes for several years, I knew that my car needed significantly more than an alignment. And, over the last two months had been anxiously ambivalent about finding a place/doing the work, because I'm aware that front end work is expensive. I trust Dave, who is the fellow I interacted with. He exudes honesty and expertise. His approach and communication are easy, direct and excellent. The car needed a more parts than we expected, but I am confident that the car did need those parts. I have clear memories of driving that car over roads that beat my poor car (one in AZ was miles of pure rock--cobbles and hellacious bedrock) while fully loaded. I trusted him so much and appreciated his very fair estimate that I said yes to getting everything done Dave suggested: replacing lots of front end parts, rear shocks and complete rear brake job, including new rotors, a motor mount and, of course, an alignment. I really appreciate his clear communication and his fairness on billing, and dealing with the fact that I had built out the inside into a mini-camper with a bed platform and drawers. My custom work was in the way of accessing the top of the rear shocks. The final price was, I believe, very good. Bolles gave me not one surprise. The car was ready soon than promised. Dave also gave me a heads up about a couple issues that they spotted while under the car. I greatly appreciated that. The car now rides and brakes like a dream! I just drove an alley that before the work was painful because of all the sounds my car made. The alley, still exactly the same, now is a non-issue and the car is quiet and smooth. I highly recommend Bolles Alignment and would again drive across Los Angeles to get this level of expertise, comfort, and fast completion of all the work. When you're in the office, check out the pictures of the place from 1948. Dave's dad built this place to last. Now it's run by Dave and Brandon, Dave's son (the grandson of the founder). read more

Called these guys today, only to find out that they were booked solid!!! I really needed an alignment done on my work truck and was pretty much S.O.L!!! Every other shop I drove to said my truck was too big for their alignment rack and was recommended to this father and son duo from the prior 3 shops I went to!! I was already made aware that they were booked and took a drive to the shop to see if I could get an appointment for tomorrow but they closed on Fridays but they managed to take my truck on and align it even though they were slammed!!! I came here today after going to two other repair shops and getting crazy quotes, and no clear direction on what repairs my car needed. David was able to diagnose the problems my car was having based on my vague description and the inspection that followed. He showed me the parts on the car that needed work, he explained everything to me, and even told me which were priorities. His price was very fair for all the work that he did, (alignments, struts, brakes, axle,) and he did it within 4 hours! He was super friendly and honest. After I left, I felt the difference when I drove my car. I think this shop has been around for approximately 70 years, and there's a reason it has been around so long when there are so many competing shops in the area. On a sidenote, while you're waiting for your car, you can enjoy the park across the street. I hope my car won't need more work for a long time, but if it does, I will definitely go here!!! read more

Let me start by saying how awesome this father & son team are! Professonal, honest, hard working, fair and most of all, very knowledgeable! I've gone here for my Alignment, front and rear sway bar upgrades, stout mounts, caliper upgrade and brake bleeding. All were handled professionally and with care (and at insanely great prices!) I came here for a front alignment on my '68 VW at a quoted $95. That is all I needed. I just finished a complete body off restoration on this Bug myself. David suggested I needed a rear alignment too and says it's missing shims in the spring plate covers for an additional charge of $360. Now, I've been taking apart VW's for over 30 years and have never heard of or seen this before. I called Wayne from A&D Buggies for a second opinion and he confirmed what I already knew. NO shims! When I asked David where he planned to buy these "needed" shims, he tells me Bill & Steve's- which I am familiar with as well. I gave them a call and they said not only do they not have them but there is no such thing. I made these calls while I was still at Bellos so I told David what they said and he got defensive. He wouldn't admit to his dishonesty and then refused to service my car. My suggestion to anyone coming here is to be cautious, with Dave at least, before agreeing to any extra services. Thankfully, I know VW's enough to not have been scammed out of $455 +tax today. read more
