We actually found this place based on the great Yelp reviews, and we're so glad we did! My husband was having issues with his 2009 G37, and we weren't sure if it was the alternator. He called the shop, and the gentleman who answered gave him a very reasonable and fair quote. We dropped off our car, and he explained he would diagnose the issue first to confirm if it was the alternator. He also mentioned the car might not be ready until the following week, which we completely understood and were fine with. To our surprise, just three hours later, we got a call letting us know it was the alternator and the car was ready for pickup! This is a father and son shop (Mike Sr & Jr) that has been around for over 50 years. I dealt with them remotely & quickly felt very comfortable talking to Mike Sr., who's just a straight up honest & knowledgeable guy, and you can tell that he runs his business out of passion, not just trying to make money off you. Today, after having received a few different quotes from different mechanics and shops, once again, I received quality work for the replacement of my ignition switch at HALF the price what others were asking. This is in addition to finding a faulty wire, and a troublesome reassembly, which I am certain took up quite a bit of time. I stand my ground, these mechanics know their stuff, and are honest to the T. My previously dead car started up like new, and I couldn't be happier. For extra love and support of the business, Mike Senior said he likes sour candies, and if individually wrapped, he will place them in his giveaway jar for customers. 18 months ago had radiator replaced and heater core replaced and brakes done as well. Now my radiator is leaking and has to be replaced and the heater does not work even though that was replaced. 5 months after the brakes were done all of them had to be replaced since they put on the wrong pads that destroyed the drums , rotors and pads. I just came from there 10 minutes ago. They checked my "check-engine" light code and told me what the problem was. The owner was honest enough to tell me that I just need a new gas cap. I told him I already bought one. They explained what I should do next and referred me to another shop (Freddy's) if problem persists. Meantime, they turned off the light and asked me to observe first if the problem will come back. If it does, try replacing a cap directly bought from a dealer. He also said it's safe to drive it. I was referred to this establishment by a very close person to me. She had exceptional service so I just showed up with my Isuzu. She was leaking water from the pump so I felt before it was a big problem, get her fixed. I was asked if I had an appt, which I didn't, but said I'm in no hurry, Mike smiled and went on to finish what he was doing. So, I have a 2007 Honda Accord lx V6 engine. It wouldn't start on a Monday morning (of course). I had it towed to McMillen's garage after reviewing yelpers reviews for repair. They were able to determine the problem right away, repaired something else that needed maintenance, and replaced a broken LED taillight for me. I took my 2001 Ford Focus here for a new clutch and to also have a new driver side window motor installed. The repairs were reasonably priced and completed in a timely manner. After bringing the car home and letting it sit overnight I noticed a large puddle of an oily substance on my garage floor. Mind you that I'm a commercial plumber and I'm always parking in brand new parking garages so it's very important that my car has no leaks. With that said, At first I called them and who ever I spoke with treated me like I was lying and said that oil has nothing to do with the clutch, but said to bring it back so they could check it out. When I arrived the " son " took the car the the rear of the shop and put it up in the air on the lift. He confirmed that my cars clutch does run on a type of " clutch oil " so that part was cleared up. Then he explained that the plug at the top of the reservoir is not a sealed plug. He said that he must have put to much fluid in and was leaking from this non sealed plug. He removed the plug and the oil clutch fluid came shooting out. He laughed and said " yes it appears I put to much". He let it spill till it stopped and reinstalled the plug. He then said that if it continues to leak, to just give it some time. He said once the excess fluid has leaked out it would be fine. Over the next year or 2 the car continued to leak clutch fluid. I had to put cardboard under it or just find street parking when going to work. At the time, it was very difficult for me to take the car back as I was working 10 hour days at the building I was plumbing and did not have an extra vehicle to drive if it needed to be dropped off and kept for a few days. And also they are not open on the weekends so taking it there then was also not an option. I just kept hoping that the excess fluid would finally stop and it didn't. Then I got hurt at work. I injured my back and couldn't walk for 3 months. I went through a year of physical therapy and the last thing on my mind was the leaking clutch fluid. So now 3 or 3 1/2 years had gone by. At this point I figured I was pretty much stuck with it. Then all of the sudden the window motor they replaced stopped working. It was a rainy season and I was finally physically able to take the car back over to them. I told them about the window and had to explain and refresh his mind on what had happened with the clutch fluid. They said to drop the car off, they'd take a look and let me know. After a couple days, they called and said my car was ready to pick up. I arrived and they said I owed them $175 for the window motor and that the clutch fluid was actually not leaking from the plug but that it was actually leaking somewhere between where the clutch attaches to the transmission. Then he informed me that they would not fix it because it was out of warranty. I paid the $175 for the window and left the shop very disappointed. I understand that it's partially my fault for not getting the car back sooner. But was also mislead by them in the first place when they mis diagnosed the leak with the plug and they said " eventually it will stop when fluid is below reservoir plug". My busy work schedule and injury, and also them not being open on the weekends did not help either. I understand that it was out of warranty but the fact that I did originally bring it back within days of the original repair should have been enough for them to honor their work. The fact that the window motor only lasted 2 years ( did not drive for over a year after injury) was also very disappointing. Now I need to upgrade to more of a luxury type of vehicle because of my injury and it's very hard to drive a small seated car with a clutch. Now I can't even sell the car because the fluid leak is so bad. Also I'm not sure how long this clutch will even last with this going on? The picture below is what it looks like everyday. I'm constantly cleaning my garage floor and have used every old t-shirt I own in doing so. Not to mention dealing with my wife who is very annoyed about the oil on the floor after we spent $2,500 refining it. Now she has a nice garage floor with a big poodle of oil on it. Needless to say we do not use this shop anymore and wouldn't recommend them to anyone... read more

Mike Sr is hands down the best most honest mechanic ever, it's a family owned business and his son and grandson all do a great job at fixing your car at reasonable prices and not try and screw you over. I've been coming here for years and had him fix different things on different cars but what he does on all my cars is fix my breaks and change my rotors. He just recently changed the breaks on my Audi A7 and my husband's BMW, as well as all the previous cars we had before which included a Jaguar XF and Lexus GS350 a caddilac CTS and nissan maxium. I had McMillen replace a water pump in my car. Easy operation, I would expect. Apparently I was told that he broke some screws or nuts on the thing and just put it on with glue - smooth, guys. While it wasn't highway robbery, the job wasn't cheap, either - the upper end of what the internet says you should pay for jobs. Well, that water pump cause me a lot of trouble over the years. My car had all sorts of problems and I didn't know what it was until someone more meticulous did the job. The owners and workers there are nice and more or less honest. I just had a bad and expensive experience, so I can't in good conscience recommend it too heavily. read more
